Unusal day
Hi to all my friends and soon to be friends.
I just got to read everyone's postings from earlier. I am really behind today. First off I'll talk about your postings and then tell you about my day.
Pat Hope that angry incision heals quickly.
Connie Have a wonderful time with Nic's graduation.
Monica Glad you are feeling better. 191 days!!!!! so proud of you too.
Nan Have prayed and will be praying for your son and the armed forces
Grammylew So thrilled for DIL's improvement and finding the right doctor. Will be praying also for your son. I'm in Tucson, but I think Yuma has some of the hottest weather in the States. I wouldn't want to be sent there.
Vickie My furbaby is on special food but wish I would have known your info when they were all middle aged. Good for you doing the research.
Sybul Glad the injections are helping Val. Will say prayers.
Judy That darn foot doctor and that's all I have to say about that.
Gas prices are crazy. I actually live 1/2 hour from Tucson. The prices in my little burg are 15 to 20 cents more a gallon then in town. Praying for your Mom. She sounds a lot like my Mom with her oxygen use (or non-use)
Now about my day. It started out fine. did things around the house. Drinking water. Had a good breakfast. Took morning meds etc. Took the rest of a wonderful protein shake with me to PT because I had not finished it yet (lunch)
Having more trouble with dizziness the last few days, Almost fell going out to the car, but landed ON the car instead of the ground. The exercises sometimes make me more dizzy so we are always sure to take breaks and not start the next series until I feel ready. I got through most of the session with being a little dizzy but OK. Then without out warning the room was spinning out of control. I was so nauseated. I was sure I was going to pass out. My heart rate was up and my B/P was up. I was in a chair thank God and used my walker to lean on. I started feeling a little better and talked them out of calling 911. My sister had driven me, but was out shopping. They located her and she said it was probably low glucose levels. I said no I'm not shaky and the weakness is unique. She said my eyes were dilated. They helped me to a table to rest. It took about 20 minutes until I felt better.
My sister, the nurse, insisted I eat something and went to the store in the complex. They tried to sit me up but I was so light headed I laid back down. Tried again in 10 minutes. I was able to get up and walk to the waiting room. (with help) Ellen drove me home without incident. Drank more water and had a protein snack. It didn't change how I felt.
I still feel a bit strange but pulse good, B/P good. color good, eyes normal. No headache. Not dizzy. No signs of dehydration. I'll call the doctor tomorrow or, of course, there is always the ER if needed tonight. I find it all very strange.
While I was recuperating on the table they had a new patient that the doctor had started working with. He started not feeling well. He was on a table basically being evaluated. His B/P was up along with heart rate. He didn't get better. In a few minutes the B/P was higher. He started grabbing his chest and getting agitated. Sounds like cardiac to me. He was rushed to the hospital.
What a day for the PT group. Dr. Hinkley said no more of this or he would throw me out of the club. Teasing of course.
Much love, Mag
