Monica,
We are going to a B & B in Stephentown, NY.  I have been to Stockbridge and the Red Lion Inn many times.  Absolutely love it there.  We lunch at the Red Lion Inn, walk the town and then go to the Norman Rockwell Museum.
We are planning on going to the Han**** Shaker Village.
On our way up there we are planning on stopping in Lee at the outlet shops and lunch.
Hugs,
Bev

Hi Jane and my OFF family:

Congrats on starting the daily thread. Don't stay away.

Where is everyone today? It's nearly 1:30 p.m. and I'm just getting on here ... was on the phone a long time with Mom and my brother Gary (well, Skype) and just got my second cup of coffee in me and read the paper. Time to head to the shower soon and get some food in me.

Work was a ***** last night. I have a bad mouse on my computer at work ... it seizes up and I have to unplug and plug it back in numerous times ... sometimes every couple of seconds. It made for a very long and frustrating night. I am going to buy a mouse for my computer and bring it into work because the cheapskate company I work for doesn't seem to do anything right ... I can't work under these conditions. My shoulders and arms were so sore last night I could barely move when I got off work. And I had a lot of pages and had to pawn off some to coworkers ... I should have been able to get those done, but because it took so much time to deal with the mouse, I just couldn't get it all done. Plus, I'm in an eight-day stretch ... I don't get a day off til Friday, and have only had one day off last week. My body can't take that much stress.

Well, enough whining ... I need some cheese! Or some kind of protein at least. Off to the shower. Have a good day.

Eileen,

You have GOT to get a new mouse!  I get this thing I call "mouse shoulder".  Hurts like the dickens.  Only thing that clears it up is to stay OFF the computer!  (notice the pun!)

I can't imagine trying to cope with a mouse that freezes up all the time.  I think you should buy the mouse, then present the receipt to your boss.  Tell him/her that if they can't provide you with working equipment and you have an injury, they'll have to pay for sick leave, etc, which is a LOT more costly than a $10 mouse!

Good luck!  I hope you can find a new job soon.  The one you have now seems to cause you lots of grief.

Bought the mouse, it is so nice. When I got into work and emailed my boss about it, she said I should just take it home and tell our IT person about it and get him to get me one. But there are people who have been here for two-three weeks and they don't have logins yet; I don't want to wait three weeks for a new mouse (or in this case, a new-old mouse). I don't even care if they reimburse me; I'll gladly pay for it as long as I get to use it.

Wow, it seems like a lot of you (us) are having challenges right now.

VICKI - I love your new picture.  You look so slender and young.  I am sorry you are having the lonelys.  My DH was in the army for twenty years with many times away so I  can relate.  I, too, have often used food to fill that empty space.  Take care.

MAG - That dizzy spell at the PT place sounds scary.  I am glad you are going to the doctor tomorrow.

MONICA - Continued congratulations on the sobriety and your mad computer skills.

EILEEN - by all means get a new mouse.  Your company should provide it, but if they are not, don't keep suffering.  I read an article once that talked about "botherations". little things that just bother us, but we put up with them because they are little things.  But take them all together and they can really affect our happiness.

MARGO - I am so sorry that you are going through a hard time.  Family can be such a blessing and such an aggravation.  I'm sending good thoughts that you will find the perfect place to move to.

As for me, I was up mucho early to go into the hospital to get an echocardiogram done in prep for my surgery.  I took phen/fen back in the day, so this is a precaution.  So far, everything has come back normal, so I hope this one does as well.

Good Sunday, OFF friends.

OMGosh, Sharon!  Thanks for them kind words, sista!  "Slender AND young"???  Wowzers!  You just made my day!

Hope you get through all your testing soon and can get your surgery scheduled.  (I had to wait from Aug '10 to Feb '11, so I know how it is!)  I can just tell you're a good candidate for this surgery.  You're thoughtful and resolute about everything.  I think half the battle is mental anyway.  Yes, the surgery will force a certain degree of compliance, but you have to be willing to do the work, too!  I just know you're going to have a great success!

Hi Jane and all my fellow OFFers,

Jane - I don't think I've met you before. Hope to get to know you better.
Trish - Seems like a lot of us are concentrating on our bedrooms lately.
Grammylew - Our landscapers came Friday and took down a tree that died with our hard winter freezes. He said two other trees will live and he will prune them in early fall when the weather is cooler. The company is going to plant our new tree for free. That's a nice gift.
Vickie - So sorry you have to be apart from your DH so much and are lonely.  Lonely is one of my triggers for overeating unhealthy food as well. You handled it well with the prunes. Stay strong.
Monica - More proud of you every day! Doing great! Keep up the good work.
Margo - I'm sorry you are having such difficulties, Family can be a blessing and a curse. Take care of yourself.
Eileen - That blessed mouse. Time for it to find it's way to the garbage. Hope a new mouse will help relieve the pain.
Sharon - Hope the ECHO turns out to be perfect and gives you one more step to clearance for surgery.
All quiet on my home front. Will read the Sunday paper, do the dishes and sit outside to relax and get some vitamin D. Drinking water as I write. Feeling much better, but will still go to the doctor tomorrow to relate the episode to her. I'm sure she will do an EKG and lab work. Lab work from surgeon won't be done til last of June. Everybody have a great and peaceful Sunday afternoon.   Mag
