Morning Trish and OFF family!!!

Well its getting a little warmer here but still the rain its here AGAIN!!! Threats of strong storms for today!!! GRRR but I am home and plan on cooking a beef roast and scrubbing the carpet. Might as well do something constructive as I won't be spending time outside!!! Sleep isn't happening at all...why? No clue! If I can take a nap so be it...

Foot dr yesterday I am so upset with I am not going back to him unless I can't take the pain anymore!!!! He said the xray showed NOTHING wrong. So he said what do you want me to do? I told him I HURT in my foot/toe area make the pain go away! He said he could give me another shot of cortizone. OK fine. He gives me 2 shots of NOVACAINE!!!!! Sends me on my way and says he will see me in 2 weeks!!! HUH?????????? I left so pissed off I am not going back again!!!!!!!!!!! I will deal with the pain and find another dr I guess!!! I am thinking this one is a quack!!!!!!!!!

Nothing else happening here so I will get going to get the carpets cleaned. Prayers and thoughts going out to those that need them!!

Judy,
Kick that bum of a doctor to the curb. Glad you're thinking of a second opinion. He sounds like he just wants more money by having you to make frequent office visits.    Mag

I went through this with ortho doc No. 2 ... yelled at him ... he didn't like that, and sent me to his associate, who said I did need a revision of my replacement knee (when No. 2 said I didn't). And then when No. 2 got in there, he said there was a lot more wrong than he thought ... ha! Some things you can't see on an X-ray.

I really think the first knee surgery was botched but can't prove it. I have a feeling your foot doc is a quack, too. So find someone else.

Eileen I think he is a quack now for sure!!! He did get the toe off my big toe...but now it is curling up and he said he could fix it...he mentioned a few times and I also said FIX IT!!! Did he? NO! Keeps saying if I want him to fix it he will...well WHEN??? I feel like I am getting the run around now from him and I am sick of it!! SO I am going to get a 2nd opinion when I can't take the pain any longer!!! I am through with this guy!!! Or should I say "quack"?

Good morning to Trish and everyone,
Trish--Will be thinking of you and saying prayers that you get through the day as well as possible.
Monica--You are marvelous. Prayed the Hulk will calm down.
It's absolutely perfect weather here this week. Last week was upper 90's and this week is 75 to 85. Of course, we don't have humidity until the monsoon season. We need rain so bad. We are in a 15 year drought.
Our part of AZ is one of the worst hit. Sharon is also part of the driest of the state (She live southeast of me.)
Had PT yesterday. Dr. Hinkle said my neck muscles aren't getting stronger as fast as he would like and that if it doesn't make more progress he will send me to a "neck" doctor and I may need a fusion. I said "I'm not doing that." He said I can't wear a neck brace for the rest of my life. He and I discussed my options and I'm going to do my home exercises 3 times a day. They take about 1 hour for each set, but I am determined to get well. Besides I drink water in between each series of exercises which help me to get my water in for the day!
I didn't do supper dishes last night so I'm headed to the kitchen to catch up. It's only 6:45 here. This is 2 days in a row that I've been up before 7:00A.M. How strange, but it's nice to have time in the mornings to myself. Thinking of doing some meditation before my sister, Ellen, gets up.
My "almost son" is deciding whether to move to Austin, TX or San Diego< CA. I'm hoping for the ocean. When he lived there before his
# 1 Mom and I would go and stay at a hotel right on the beach. We have so much fun together. And it's only an 8 hour drive. I have no idea how long it takes to get to Austin. Map Quest here I come.
Thanks to all of you being here. Please say a prayer for me. Any happy thoughts are appreciated   As ever,     Mag

Meg:

You really don't want a fusion ... or any kind of spinal surgery if you can avoid it. My brother had surgery to decompress his cervical discs ... didn't work and he still has issues. The next step would be to fuse his spine. He's avoiding it.

Good morning Trish and everyone....

The wild weekend is finally catching up with me. I hurt all over and am sick to my stomach.

Nic's Graduation Party was a blast.....it was wonderful spending time with MN family and friends. Now they are gone and I  am missing them ....especially my BFF Pam!!  Nic had a great time. He had a grin on his face all day!!
We had a DJ so Gracie danced non-stop with all the little girls. They were so fun to watch.

I am doing a couple loads of laundry as there is extra bedding from the weekend. That is about all I have energy to do!!

Have a great day everyone. Prayers for many in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Afternoon, y'all!

As always, so much going on with everyone here.  So many health issues to be dealt with!  I wish everyone well and pray for speedy resolutions and recoveries!

Just got back from having lunch with a friend.  This is only my second time to venture out on a lunch date since surgery.  I'm a little leery of ordering in restaurants still.  But we went to a deli and I did okay.  Had a scoop of chicken salad on a lettuce, tomato and pickle plate.  Also half a hard boiled egg.  There was probably too much fat and mayo in the chicken salad, but what can you do about that?

I have lots to do on the computer today, but my mouse shoulder is still bothering me.  I'll have to be careful, or I'll have a full flare up again.

Thinking about having a garage sale to help with clearing so much of the clutter out of this house!  Only problem is I live way out in the country.  My friend I had lunch with also wants to have a garage sale and she also lives out in the country.  So we're putting our heads together to see what we can come up with.  We need a place in town to host our sale.

I need to get moving.  Half the day is already gone.  Love to all!

Hello OFF friends,

Sending healing thoughts and blessings to all who are having health issues.  I am
very grateful that I am relatively healthy for a fat woman.

The weather at my house in the desert is sunny and nice, but a bit blustery.  Where I work, an hour away, it is cool and rainy!  I tell people that I live in the desert for a reason.  I like it sunny, hot and dry.

It is a very stressful week here at work.  We have surveyors here analyzing everything about our company.  They seem to be picky witches from hell.... no wait, nice ladies who are very detail oriented.  I will be ready to see them depart tomorrow after they tell us everything that is wrong with us.

Everything is quiet on the home front.  I can hardly wait until Memorial Day weekend when my Air Force son comes to visit.  I miss him so much, but am so proud of him

   Take care everyone.
