You are right it is Terro.  Taro is the root of the yucca plant.  It been awhile since I've had to use it so I am using that as an excuse and not my dwindling brain function.

Because I have really bad asthma, we cannot use a lot of different chemical smelling things, so when I had my ant problem, the biologists at the university where I work said dilute about a half a cup of dawn in a spray bottle with water and spray the ants, their trail, and outside the place you see them.  It kills them instantly and also gets rid of their chemical path so the other ants won't go that way.  It, along with keeping food up, gets rid of them.

Good Morning Laureen and OFF Family,
I just got back from walking Utley down to the park by the river.  It is full, and has been all week.  Utley and I love it down there, because the breeze off the river is pleasant, and there are all sorts of critters for Utley to try to chase, including a couple of mallards that took up residence there.  On the way home, we passed the firehouse at the corner, and there was an injured baby bird that Utley tried to catch, but I pulled him back before he could get it.  He did not injure it.

Got a call yesterday from the hospital I used to work at.  I sent them my resume for a per diem social work position, which I did not do last time I worked there.  I was a group therapist before.  I would be filling in for a maternity leave, and a few other positions during the summer, and then be available off and on throughout the year.  I have an interview on Monday afternoon.

Today, I need to get my hair trimmed, and go to my AA meeting.  Then, I am going to work on the baby blanket some more, and tonight go to a prayer meeting.  The host is a dear friend who is a missionary home on furlough with his family.  My daughter went to help his family in Tunisia when she was 16, serving as a nanny.  Now, she is going to be 35, and her kids are the ages his older two were when she was there.  His oldest son graduated from college, so I have a small gift for him.

I better run, my AA meeting is in a half hour, and I want to get a good seat.

Have a great weekend.

Hugs,
Trish

Sober 200 days and so proud of me.
Abundant sunshine and it will be hot here, near 90. Hubby and I have to work on tans so pool and hot tub work for us today.
Had a gentle leash walk with Yoda and no knee brace...1st time since my right knee injury.
Watched a crazy movie yesterday..."from Dusk to Dawn"...that Tarantino guy is wacko, but got to laugh out loud alot.
Almost 9 and  trying to stretch out for the day. Been up since almost 7, but lazy so still stiff.
Nothing on agenda. Looking for a fried rice recipe to make from plain white rice. Hubby has a nice piece of sirloin in his teriyake mix. Son Angus thrilled at new apartment, housemates (all are avid flyfishing people), met with his new job managers and admin people, they made him feel so welcome and glad they hired him), Bozeman awesome, happy happy, on a camping/fishing trip already with housemates. Thanks for all your support and prayers for him and US. Didn't realize how stressed I was all wee****il late Thursday when we got the call he "was home".
Hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Fried Rice:

In a skillet over med. heat saute 1/2 cup diced onion in 1 T. olive oil until translucent.   Add two to three cups of COOKED white or brown rice, until heated thru.   Beat one egg well and drizzle over rice, stirring to incorporate.   When egg is cooked add low sodium soy sauce to taste.

Enjoy

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning Laureen & all. Beautiful day here too.

I got most of my garden in yesterday. I still just have a few things to plant. DH has been gone fishing since Tuesday, so lots of me time. Well me, the 4 dogs & a cat. At least they don't argue with me!! Got my house cleaned, laundry done & even some shopping in. Not sure what to do today, maybe the rest of the garden.

Have a wonderful day!!!!

Monica, so proud of you.
