TGIF What's New?

Thanks Lynn,
It turns out I am putting the idea of moving on hold right now.  I had a good talk with my daughter, and will post more on that later.  I had thought about the missing the metropolitan lifestyle as well.

I hope you are able to work through the depression with the meds, and just want to suggest some therapy to help with it.  It couldn't hurt, and may help you get off the meds sooner if you work through the depression with someone you could talk to professionally.

Hugs,
Trish

Hi Pat,
I was thinking about moving to Perry, outside of Lansing, where my daughter is.  Right now, that is on hold.  I will explain it in another post.

If I were to move, I would definitely meet up with you.  Right now, I am hoping to get back there for a visit in the Fall.

Hugs,
Trish

Hi again. As I suspected, my 3 hour car repair only took 90 minutes. I'm sure it is because I was waiting.
So I got home before the awful heat hit.
My last fill feels like I may have gotten to my sweet spot again!! Hooray, hooray. I can eat small amounts of good food - proteins, veggies, fruits. It takes me about an hour to finish a meal. Yes, yes, yes!!
Monica, still so proud of you!

TGIF, everyone!  Hope everyone will be safe and have fun this long holiday weekend.  I have no particular plans since hubby is gone right now.  Tomorrow is our 30th wedding anniversary.  We will have to celebrate when he gets home.

My shoulder is a little better today, although it is still aching me a bit.  I'm not sure I can take those tramadol.  I was getting a little woozy-headed yesterday afternoon.  I think the hot tub helps me more than anything else.  Think I'll stay off the tramadol today and see how it goes.

I did pick more beans last night, but I made a concerted effort to only pick with my left hand!  I think it helped.  Today I will work on shelling them, although I don't have to get it all done in a day.  They'll last a day or two in the cool house.

Yesterday I made more dog food for my babies.  I'm really happy with this new batch.  Got it down to just 3 simple ingredients:  chicken, sweet potatoes, and brown rice.  They went bonkers over it yesterday.  Made almost 12 cups, which is enough to last my little pups 3 weeks.  Well worth the time and effort, imho.

Still waiting for the scale to move down this week.  These stalls are pretty discouraging, even though I know I'm not doing anything wrong with my diet.  I'm exercising and eating correctly.  I know it will eventually show up on the scale.  I just want to hit that 50 lb milestone!

Not much on the agenda for today.  Plan to go rent some more movies and stay inside where it's cool (I'm with ya on that one Grammylew!).  Shell beans when I feel like it.  Read my Nook.  Get in the hot tub.  That's about it.  I lead a boring life!  LOL!

Stay safe this weekend!

Lucky you that tramadol helps you that much it makes you woozy. it doesn't do a thing for me anymore (helped the first time they gave it to me, but now ... nothing).

Don't sweat the stalls; they happen, but they won't be as big as they used to be. Just keep working the tool. Are you going to be home tonight? Maybe I'll give you a call.

Glad you are feeling a bit better.  Congratulations on your wedding anniversary.  That is awesome.

Don't be too discouraged about the stalls.  You could still be losing inches.  I never got the measuring tape out, but always noticed in how my pants fit.

Hugs,
Trish

TGIF everyone and happy beginning of the Memorial Day weekend!  We're spending the first day of the holiday hiding from the humidity and heat although I know it's just going to increase each day!  I turned on the air and so it's much more comfortable.  The kids are hanging out in the living room and I'm about to go out and join them.  They all work but today they're off until the afternoon.  It's rare to get them together at the same time anymore!  I am making a pulled pork in the crockpot to avoid using the oven.  Right now I'm making my way through George R.R. Martin's series, A Song of Ice and Fire.  The first, A Game of Thrones, is on HBO right now.  Is anyone watching?  Have a great day everyone!

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I have today off and I'm off to get my hair done ... it's gotten quite long and the color is wearing out. So it's a day for me. Plus, it was payday, so I have money to spend. Got to run to the bank first, and then off to spend the money.

I might get together with my cat rescue friend and go to a movie later; we talked on Wednesday so we'll see how I feel. I didn't sleep well last night; took awhile. I was in a little pain and then had those hot flashes. So I finished "The Blind Side," then picked up "I Beat the Odds," by Michael Oher ... wanted to compare stories.

Anyway, got to get into the shower and get to Starbucks for my iced coffee and off to the bank. Have a good day.
