What;'s New on Wednesday?
Hi Trish and my OFF family:
I had an appointment this morning at the pain clinic; they call it refill clinic here, just go to get my pain pills refilled. I still have plenty of them, but you have to go and pay for an appointment in La. to get a refill. What a racket. At least you don't pay for a complete copay. You see a nurse, she takes bp and pulse/ox and then gives you a new script. That's it. It takes 5 minutes. One woman had to pee in a cup today (it's a random check).
I didn't sleep well at all last night; Went to sleep right away, but woke up at 4 a.m. in a lot of pain and couldn't get back to sleep right away ... tried just about everything ... ice pack, BioFreeze, then finally took a pain pill and read for awhile and finally went back to sleep. Then I got up at 8 a.m. for my appointment. So I'm really sleepy. Luckily, I don't have to work, so I'm just hanging out at home, watching the White Sox/Red Sox game. So far, the White Sox are losing 3-0; they have beaten the Red Sox twice this week. Would be nice to sweep them. Hope your Phillies can win today, Trish.
Not much else new ... it's 95 degrees here, 42 percent humidity, feels like 101 degrees ... I believe it! When I was out earlier, I couldn't breathe. It's supposed to be like this all week.

It's already afternoon and I have not accomplished a thing. A bit lazy today. Yesterday's PT went very well. I'm so pleased with my progress. Tomorrow we are going to start trying exercises without the neck brace. 2 goals right now; get rid of the neck brace; get rid of the walker. Long term goal: walk anywhere I want for as long as I want. I'm actually believing it is possible.
I have a doctor's appointment in town today. Forgot to fill the gas tank yesterday. I'm gonna be standing in the heat for a few minutes. That will teach me to remember to buy gas in the early hours or after the sun goes own.
Watched the NBA game last night. I am hoping for Dallas to win the championship, but last night was not a good start to the series. (unless you are a Miami Heat fan.) Take care, be safe, Mag

It is almost 8 PM and I am finally getting around to checking in with all of you. Last night it was even later and I didn't even bother posting. All is well here just very busy.
I love being with my grandchildren but this really wearing me out...way more then I thought it would. They also have two inside ( LARGE) dogs that I have to take care of. They bark at everything and anything that moves....it is really getting to me. They weigh the same or more then me. I have to take them out at least 3 times a day....they drag me around. This is killing my shoulder with the torn rota tor cuff. Just plain hell with my entire body!! I had no idea it would be quite like this!!
I am constantly taking Vicodin for pain and I don't like it! Not to mention I am allergic to dogs!! My allergies are so bad my sinus' just ache.
Thanks for letting me vent....I just needed to get this out!!
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!!

Awww Connie...So sorry that you are having this to deal with and hurting to go along with it!!! Can't they put the dogs outside for the day so you don't have to deal with them?? Just an idea...If not how about the garage? I know its not a nice thing to do but in your case..not sure what to do. GOOD LUCK!!!

Hi Judy.....I do take them outside for a few hours each afternoon however they bark so much the neighbors don't like it so I have to bring them back in.
The garage is too hot and Nic keeps his VW BUG in there....he wouldn't want it damaged. Two Socks especially would chew everything up in there....we can't leave anything out. She chews everything!!
I will make it....I have too!!!
