Good morning from the Canuck side of the border.

What a beautiful day this is starting out to be.  Birds are singing and the sun is shining  and all is right with the world.

This is the last day of a four week semester, so I will not teach again until September.    Yay!  I will still be around the college for a month, but I won't have the pressure of preparing, marking, etc.

I had some bad news earlier this week.  I have a new doctor who ordered tests for me to act as a baseline.  I had an EKG Monday and found out that I have had a 'silent' heart attack.  I don't know much yet, but I'm having tests Friday and Monday to determine the extent of the damage, etc.  One just never knows what the future will bring and in this case, I guess that is a good thing.
However, today is a beautiful day and I am gong to enjoy it no matter what.

So what is going on in your world?

Good thoughts for everyone who may be having a difficult time.  BTW where is Bev?  Has anyone heard from her?

Margaret
PS  just had to mention that the Vancouver Canucks won game one over the Boston Bruins last night.  Go Canada!

Good Morning Margaret and fellow OFFers,
I'm up early today. Can't seem to stay in bed. It's a good thing in many ways. I can sit outside with a beverage and enjoy the cool. Also I can post earlier and not be one of the last to write about the day.
Nothing much going on here except PT later today and grocery shopping. Good sales this week.  I've had appointments everyday this week. Tomorrow is a "free" day. I love it when there is nothing on the calendar. Less pressure. Still plenty to do, but I don't feel stressed to get it done all at once. Clothes of many sizes are taking over my room. Tried on a pair of slacks that I thought should fit now and Ellen said they are too big so in the box they go for the resale shop. Life is good.
Not losing weight the last 2 weeks but losing inches so no complaints. I'll see what the scale says on Sunday. The only time I had a stall previous to this was during and after my gallbladder went sour on me.
 As Ever,   Mag

Good morning Margaret and all yet to come.
Today is our DIL's 41st birthday. I am following her to a body shop this morning, then taking her on to work. She is getting her windows tinted for her birthday.
Then I will come home and finish Eeyore if it kills me. I had way too many interuptions yesterday. I need Eeyore and Piglet done before our daughter and the kids get here.
I also have to do pills today!! Every 3 months when we get our refills, I divide them up into daily pill containers. I don't have many, but my DH takes 6 in the morning and 5 in the evening. I don't know why I dislike this job so much, but I do. That's why I do them for 12 weeks at a time.
It is way humid already this morning! I'm afraid there will be no relief from the humidity until September now! Oh well, our AC works very well.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Grammy,  are you crocheting Eeyore and Piglet?  Or some other craft?  You know I just made a little Winnie-the-Pooh quilt for my grandson.  I would be interested in learning more about your project/patterns.  What are they and where did you get them?

Thanks!

Yes, Vickie, they are crochetted stuffed Pooh characters. The book has all of the characters. I also have a pattern book for an afghan with a cross stitch Pooh character in the middle. I have never cross stitched so I doubt if I will try one of those. My granddaughter picked out the books.
They are both by Leisure Arts. The book is called Disney Home. Pooh Collection. Pooh and friends. Copyright 2001. It has color circles to match the yarn to, I had trouble matching colors. I e-mailed Leisure Arts to ask exactly the names of the yarn colors. They e-mailed them back, some Bernat, some Red Heart. I ordered online the ones I could find, some that came didn't look anything like the true character colors. I got some colors online, some from Han**** Fabrics, some from WM, some from Michaels and some from Joann Fabrics. I finally have 10 shades of yarn that
look right.
Leisurearts.com was very helpful. You might be able to get the book there.

Beautiful morning today after a HOT day yesterday (over 90 with humidity!). At work the a/c was so cold I was wishing for a coat....but outside it was so hot you could barely move!

I am working at home today and the roofers get started on their job overhead so it may be a bit noisy.

Also headed to the gym, and making dinner for a family at our church. This is a young family (30's with kids ages 3 and 5). The dad had a series of grand mal seizures last week and spent several days in ICU in a medically induced coma. The possibility of complications was great because the seizures were so severe and lasted so long, but he seems to have come through it. Anyway, families at church are taking care of food and helping in other ways. I am making shish kebabs which means that's what we will have tonight too. One of my favorites!
