It's Saturday, What's new with You?
Good Afternoon Bev, OFFr's,
I'm late to this here party but with good reasons, woke up this a.m. at 7:27, which was 27 minutes later than I had planned, but guess I needed those extra minutes, then I took care of Miss Foxie Roxie and thought about not going to the gym until after my Support Group, but knew that if I put it off, it would not happen, guilt would follow and well that let's bad feelings become bad actions and so even though it was an abbreviated version, I got to the gym by 8:10 and spent 45 minutes at it, that makes 3 days there this week, took a shower and went on to my leader breakfast and then the meeting, after the meeting I saw my friend Owen for a little while and then stopped at BJs to pick up some things I needed and home is where I finally am. Roxie is happy to see me (lol). In a short while I will go to my AA Women's homegroup meeting where I will see my sponsor and other good sober sisters. Tomorrow will be time spent with Tony.
Bev it is wonderful to see your post and your strength and courage in what you have to face are admirable and I am sure there are days where it is not easy, but attitude is a half of the battle with what you are going through and I am glad to see your post, as well as all the responses you made to everyone, all show care and love and that is how we feel about you, caring and loving, which is an amazing thing because many of us on here have never met and yet our WLS community has started as an expression of support on our WLS journey and continues beyond that to many other aspects of living. Anyway, I am glad to see your face and read your posts!
Just want to say I wish each person here the very best day possible, whatever that day brings, I wish you peace and strength to meet whatever challenges you are facing.
Hugs, Laureen

Hello everyone! I am also late to the party today, and pooped as a duck tonight! Today was my birthday and I celebrated it at Splashtown with my daughters and grandson. We rode the lazy river, bobbed in the wave pool, slid down the slides--it was great! I cannot tell you all how happy I was to be in a bathing suit and to be able to move around, get up and down out of the water, etc., just like a normal person!!!
Today I am 54 years old and I'm 54 pounds lighter! This is the best birthday I can remember having in a long, long time.
Wish I had the energy to respond to each of you tonight, but this old gal is headed to BED! I'm sure I'll be sore in the morning, but it was worth it for all the fun we had today.
Love you all!
