Good Morning OFF Family,
It is 2:00 a.m., and I can't sleep.  So, I thought I would check in here, and see what's up.

Today, if and when I wake up, I have to go into Philly, to buy some kielbasa at a butcher in Port Richmond, a neighborhood that used to be made up of primarily Polish people.  My daughter is coming to town and she asked me to get it for her.  Of course, I am going to get some for myself as well.

After I get home, I will be finishing up the cleaning because the Munchkins are arriving in town this evening.  Not sure when I will get to actually see them, as they are staying at my Ex's house, and this is Fathers' Day Weekend.

I hope you all have a blessed weekend.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning Trish, those to follow,

Enjoy the kielbasa and the daughter and the munchkins, for a short time in 1997 I lived in a polish neighborhood in NY, kielbasa is good.

Feeling a little sticky all ready, got up at 5:45 this morning, because I did go to bed by 10 last night, my body needed sleep and I listened, been up at 4:55 am almost every day and then the 3:30 wake up call by mother nature yesterday, well sleep was welcome last night.

My plans today include Tony and not quite sure what we will be doing, but the doing does not matter the companionship is what I enjoy.  I know one thing we'll do is take Roxie to get her nails trimmed, otherwise we'll see. . .this evening I will attend my Women's AA homegroup and then tomorrow will be a day of cleaning, food prep for the week and hopefully some R&R.

You all have a wonderful day, wishing peace and strength to everyone facing life challenges.

Hugs Laureen

Morning all...!!!  I know I don't post much..I'm still in school...we have another full week before vacation and I have been frantic trying to get everything done.
This morning I have my granddaughter here. She is sleeping right now. Soon we will get ready and go over town to Owego.  Today is the 31st Owego STrawberry Festival so we have decided to "check it out " and see whats going on. Bri loves strawberries as do I, but I've noticed since my surgery, they don't love me too much !!!!
I may take her to the movies tomorrow ..haven't decided yet. Oh and since my other daughter lives in Owego I'll get lots of cuddle time with "Liam".  He is doing so much better since his surgery. Thank you to all who said prayers for him and for our family.
   Have a great week end.

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

Got an early call this morning from my granddaughter Amanda. Her grandpa on her dad's side passed away about 6 AM today. They found out he had cancer less then two weeks ago. He went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for a second opinion. The doctor there said it had spread to his brain. It sure took him fast...God rest his soul. He was a good grandpa to my grandchildren. He will be missed.

Still just putting one foot in front of the other and doing what I need to do. Grace and I enjoyed our time at the pool yesterday.

Wishing you all a wonderful Saturday. I will try to check in again later.

Prayers for those in need.....special ones for some.

Love and hugs to all......connie d

Good mornin' yall.
Yesterday we went to get groceries for today's big BBQ at our son's house. We (our daughter and I), wete supplying only the meat. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken. But then I had special requests for my: cheesecake, potato salad, cole slaw, seven layer dip and lumpia. Sooooo, groceries cost more than we expected. Everyone always tells the women in this family we are over achievers and 'do' too much. But heck, when everyone wants something that only I make the way they like it, what am I to do? Plus, we all know I LOVE to cook and bake!!
Eeyore is finally done!! He has basically been done for well over a week, but I could not get the eyes right! After I had placed them and removed them another dozen times while watching TV the other night, our daughter finally said put them on and forget it! I did, and once both eyes, eyebrows, nostrils and mouth were ALL on, it looked fine! I'll get a picture up here at some point.
Today is final prep for the 2 PM BBQ. Oh, and our poor darling granddaughter! She is still fighting the fatique from her mono, and taking antibiotics for her strep throat and 2 ear infections. Yesterday, her entire body broke out in a rash from the antibiotics. She says she is wearing jeans and a long sleeved hoodie to the BBQ!! She is 14, and there will be many of her cousin's friends there and she can NOT be seen with red spots all over her body!
I hope everyone has a care free weekend.
Have a fantabulous day!

Morning all...sober 228 days and so proud of me.
Sneezed yesterday and bit my tongue way in back, boy did/does that hurt....
Yesterday was very laid back, needed a day without running around. Next week has doctor appointments for hubby and me everyday. I also have an app at social security to sign up benefits. I don't have a valid, unexpired drivers license or actual social security card, so hubby got original birth and marriage certificates out of lock box. I put together a folder with some of my old pay stubs, a letter recently received from a federal employee program, etc. Lady we spoke with at SS office told me to go get a FL ID card, can't get that without a valid SS card. What a conondrum. Wish me help. I know I posted this info during the week, but hoping someone here has a suggestion. Treasure the documents you have, don't know when you will need them.
Yoda was not nice at dog park. Older huge german shepard arrived and Yoda snapped and growled at him 4 times so we left with Yoda getting a severe talking too. Some days he can be so good and others so bad. Need to be consistent with his training so he stays good. He knew we were mad at him with the tone of our voices. Trouble is that the dog park activity is less now. Yoda is smart and wants to please, but he can get "besides" himself with hunting lizards, squirrels, and other dogs.
Any suggestions accepted please.
Hope you all have a super weekend. Prayers for all...hey Connie remember to be GOOD to you. Vickie take the demo-destruction in bathroom carefully, Trish enjoy the family Gchild visit, and I am sure Grannylew will be cooking gravy and rolls this morning for her great crowd. Enjoy and hugs, Monica

Morning everyone!

We're off to New Braunfels to do some BIG shopping today for the new bathroom.  Got to buy new sink, vanity, faucets, potty, mirrors, etc.  I'm excited!  Hubby has the boring list--2x4's, caulk, grout, etc.  I have the "fun" list!

Had our daughter and g'son out for a visit yesterday afternoon.  Oh, he was so cute and Papaw hadn't seen him in over a month!  He could hardly set that baby down the hold time they were here.  Daughter left him with us and went to get her toe nails done.  We grilled sausage and hot dogs for dinner.  It was really nice.

Okay, my ride is pacing the floor now. I'd better go!

Love you all!

Hi Trish and my OFF famiily:

Not a lot of people posting today ... guess you're all off having fun. Me, I have to work tonight.

It's 97 degrees here, feels like 105. When I poked my head out to get the newspaper at 11 a.m., it felt like a furnance outside. Yuck. We really need a good day of rain, but when it rains down here, it just feels like a sauna.

Didn't do much yesterday; didn't even cook. Not in the mood. I did do two loads of laundry, got my package from the office (or they brought it to me ... it was too heavy for me to carry) and then just vegged. I do a lot of  vegging. The only other time I was out was to take garbage to the dumpster and get mail. Such an exciting life.

Love kielbasa ... any kind of sausage really. It's in my genes, that German-Polish heritage. Used to be able to get some good sausage up in Michigan at Bob's Butcher Shop; haven't found a good butcher shop down here yet.

Well, anyway, not a whole lot going on for me and yet I wrote a book. Just drinking my coffee and then off to the shower. Have a good day.

Good afternoon Trish & all. Posting late today, I started to work in the gardens early. I have about 12 small flower beds & a good size veg. garden.

I got 3 done today. I hope to do more later. Anyone use preen? It seems to work ok. The kids are coming over in a bit, to swim & do whatever. They are cooking too, so I will take the day off. Hope you are all having a great weekend!!!!
