Happy Wednesday; a big day for me.

Good mornin' ya'll.
I love hearing everyone's WLS stories. We may not have all had the same surgery, but we all did it for the same reasons.
Monica, you are my inspiration! To have kicked TWO addictions. I am so proud of you!
Yesterday I spent vegging in my chair. Low grade fever, chills, stiff neck, sore throat, out of breath just walking down the hall, a headache that wouldn't quit. Went to bed at 6 last night, up at 7:30 this morning. I'm feeling a little better this morning. This has happened before. What causes me to have these 'spells' every now and then? Is this physical or mental?
Our grandson was able to make his first phone call from his military academy summer camp yesterday. He called his mom and spoke for about 5 minutes. He likes his roommate, he would rather be home, but he isn't miserable. Hopefully, he is learning something.
Everyone have a fantabulous day.

Good Morning OFF Buddies-

Well another grey day in Maine this morning.  Supposed to be scattered showers for the next ten days.  I foolishly volunteered several years ago to collect money from all the neighbors and supervise road maintenance.  We have the road graded 3 times during the season (before Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day) and haul 20 loads of gravel in late summer to backfill erosion.  So it's time for the 4th grading but with scattered showers for next ten days it's a waste of money so I'll fuss for a few days and then let it go since I cannot control Mother nature!

Had a food nightmare last night.  Was at an open air market buying cheeses, meats and bread.  Think my brain is missing bread.  I've been trying to stick to 2 protein shakes a day and one good meal in the evenings.  Scale doesn't work so don't know if this pre full liquid diet plan is working.  Pedaled again this morning .  I go for physical therapy on my wrist tomorrow so I'll check my weight on their scale.

Monica, congrats on another day of continued sobriety.  You go girl!

Grammylew, sorry your under the weather.  My nephew had a viral infection recently that kept him down for a few days
.
Eileen, congrats on the anniversary of taking charge of your life.  I would have reacted the same as you if they did such a poor job of telling me that I couldn't have surgery.  I had a similar experience when I needed a DNC and ablation, the nurse anesthesiologist didn't want to do my anesthesia because of a thyroid goiter that I told her about.  I was devastated and reacted the way you did.

So now I'm going to get my butt out of this chair and shutdown this computer.  Enjoy the day folks!

Good Morning Eileen, OFFr's,

Happy Surgiversary Eileen, your special day coincides with mine, my actual birthday, today I turn 56 years young, how and when did I get this old?  shee**** really does seem like yesterday when I was 39. . .  lol. . .

Well, today is going to be crazy here at work, though it does not begin until just before lunch hour, so I have a few moments to post and say hi and bye to you all. . .  I am leaving from work this evening and flying down to visit with my daughters, the eldest of which has been dealing with some life stuff and I am going down to try and cheer her and maybe take them off for the weekend, I'm hoping to find time to see Carla (Lynn) and meet Monica, but not quite sure yet, things are unsettled with my daughter and she needs me right now, so it might have to wait for another time.  I am trying to find a decent place to stay in the Tampa/St. Pete area for the weekend, want something on the beach or across the street from it, just for a night, depending on cost, maybe two, we'll see. . .  anyway 4 p.m. can't come soon enough.

Wishing peace and strength to anyone with life struggles, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Good morning Eileen and everyone!

Well, as Mister Rogers used to sing, "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!"  So pretty here in the hill country.  My little herd of deer are enjoying their breakfast and so are hubby and I.  We're having scrambled eggs and cheese on a toasted light whole wheat bagel and sharing a peach.  So yummy.

Date night last night was so much fun!  San Antonio is such a fun city to play in.  We went down to the Riverwalk, but we waited until after 7 p.m., so the heat wasn't so bad.  We had crab legs for our dinner.  We both love them, and I knew I could eat at least a little of them.  They brought me 3 big clusters!  I managed almost all of one cluster, plus a bite of my boiled potato and one bite of my corn on the cob.  But, I also had half of a Bahama Mama!  Whoo, that was good!  I got a little buzzed just from half a drink.

After dinner, we were going to walk awhile, but my ankle was starting to bother me.  So my DH hired us a carriage and we went for an hour long drive around old San Antone!  Oh, it was so romantic.  I just love that man!

New pics are up on FB.  I wore one of my new sundresses.  My arms are still big and so is my butt, but DH said I looked pretty and that's all that counts.

Today is BIG construction day.  We're staying put all day and working as hard as we can on the bath remodel. We need to make some big progress today!

Eileen, I'm so proud of you for making 7 years and doing so well.  You're a very feisty lady, but that nurse would have made anyone cry!  Sheez!

Grammy, hope you start feeling better today.

Everyone else, I read your posts and applaud/cheer/hug you as needed!

Love you all!
