Baxter does not listen to me EVER!!!!! treats, praise, rewards, scolding, nope, nothing works.  I have a neon sucker sign on my head.

The best trained animals lose every bit of training around me. It is exasperating for me and their owners.

      So sorry Baxter had such a scare from the fireworks.  Little Bit didn't mind at all. Irish and Char-Lee were the opposite. We ended up giving them a low dose tranquilizer. Char-Lee was the worst. The next door neighbors. always put off a lot of fireworks. Big ones. Really big.          Mag

Poor Baxter and poor you! I don't know what Juliette will do about fireworks. I know she's scared of storms and either goes under the bed or in the closet. We have fireworks tonight and I'll be at work. Poor baby will be all alone. But she knows what to do when she's scared.

I can't imagine taking a dog to fireworks. They don't like the boomers. I know it wasn't your decision.

If I lived closer, I'd babysit and hold Juliette for you.

People brought teeny tiny babies too. Good grief.

No way would I have consented if Tom hadn't made me feel like an overly protective parent. (which I am) Next time I'll stick up for MY decision.!!!!!!

Monica...I hope the pic helps so you can get things straightened out!!  I am sure you are really frustrated. Getting that done will ease the stress. Prayers and hugs!

Trish...living with my granddaughter, I play doctor, house, dress up, dollhouse. pony ranch, school and on and on. Making lots of great memories!!

When I lived in MN, Grace came once a year to stay with me for a week or so. I always had a little pink t-shirt made up with Camp Nana and the year on it. She was always so excited to come to camp and get that shirt!!

Sometime next week my 17 year old granddaughter, Amanda is coming to stay for a couple weeks. Grace just loves her. She will be a great help for me.  She will play with Grace so I can have a bit of a break now and then. Plus she is an awesome young woman and we just love having her here. Nic and Amanda  always have fun going places together and that will be great for both of them too.

    My sister, Ellen, just headed for WalMart. I am so glad I didn't go with her. I had not thought about how busy it will be. I wonder how long it will take for her to get through the check out line. lol    Mag

   I am editing this right now. This was to be under Cindy's post. I have made mistakes all over the place today.

OOOOHHHHH my goodness....somebody knock some sense into my head plz!!  I just got home from Wal-Mart and it's July 4th weekend in a tourist town!!  Talk about craziness!!  I've never seen so many people in one store at one time....my goodness.  All I needed was laundry items & vitamins.  Geesh.....that stuff could of waited until next week.  I think I was asking for punishment..lol.

Anywho, hello everyone!!!!  It's beautiful here in the Outer Banks of NC.  We're promised rain in the next few days and I'm praying so.  Love the sunshine but we need rain!!

Sounds like everyone is busy and it's wonderful.  I just love coming to the OFF board and read up on the happenings of everyone's life.  Grammylew, you're one busy lady.  I love how you live life, all surrounded by your family.  Connie & Trish, you make me homesick for my Gkids.  Saw them this past February and got lots & lots of loving in but I'm ready for more!!  Monica, I love the idea your hubby has of taking a picture of you & your 1st SS check.  Glad that you received it so now you can cross that off your check list.  Now to get that SS card off that check list soon!!  Will continue praying!  Oh my goodness at the lovebirds we have....Vickie & Butch.  LOVE it.  I'm trying not to turn too green with envy over here when I read about all this fun you 2 are having.  Honestly, I'm happy & thankful that  you two are taking some fun time out and enjoying life.

Ok, time for finish laundry, shower & hit the bed.  It's my nighttime..lol

Girl, you are too sweet!  We haven't been called "lovebirds" in 30 years!  LOL!

You have to remember that we live our life on a totally screwy schedule.  We try to pack everything we can into 3-week spurts.  The rest of the time he's at work halfway around the world and I'm sitting at home alone.  It's a crazy life.  But I'm not complaining!  Date nights are just the icing on the cake!
