Monica,   Everyday is a success story for you. Keep on keeping on. You are wonderful and amazing. I know what you mean about men letting health issues go for too long. It got to the point that I just made appointments and told him when we were going. I went with him because he wouldn't understand what the Doctor had said. "Oh you know. That medical stuff ."  lol     Mag

Stupid Karen trick yesterday morning. Was outside really enjoying some weed pulling and rearranging. Lots of volunteer flowers coming up in the wrong spots including tomatoes in the flowers. SO I was moving them and having a great time. Managed to slip on wet sidewalk in my garden Crocs.  Slipped, twisted ankle, then landed on it and shoulder. Nasty sprain. Still not sure it isn't broken.

On a lighter note: My new daughter in law's brother posted a video from the wedding on You Tube. Guess it's there for God and everyone to see so you might as well also. Go to You Tube and then search: Kristin and Nate large. The first part is our son through the years including lots of shots of MIke, Erin , and me also. Second part is of Kristin, Third is of them together.

Forgive typing. Trying to keep foot iced, elevatd. So I'm typing with a propped up laptop.

Have a great day everyone.

Poor Karen... wet surfaces and feet are a bad combination. Hope you heal quickly!

Sounds like something I'd do, Karen. I'm very good at falling. The last time I fell (pre-weight loss surgery), I tripped over a roll of Christmas wrapping paper in my living room. Laid there for awhile, Nettie and Diva and Scooter came over and checked me out ... Scooter licked my nose and cheeks and made sure I was going to live. I thought, "How the hell am I going to get up from the floor?" But I grabbed onto the bookcase and got up, tears in my eyes, and limped over to the recliner, sat there for awhile and then drove to the urgent care center (cheaper than the ER). Nothing broken, but I did do more damage to my right knee (pre-knee replacement).

Karen, I am soooo sorry that you hurt your ankle. Do you have any walking aids? Hope it improves quickly.   Mag

Good morning all!

Wish I had time to respond to one and all, but I'm meeting Martha Ann in 20 minutes.  Just wanted to tell you all that pics of the "new" me are on FB if you want to see.  I'll try to get an outdoor shot today.  That's when my hair is REALLY red--out in the sun.  I'm Vickie Gibson Poe on FB if you want to be friends.

Love you all!

Vickie,
Saw your pics on FB. Your hair looks great as a redhead. I am thinking of changing back to strawberry blonde. It gives great color to my pale face. I'm going to my sister's friend's Mom who is suppose to be a color expert. It will be interesting. I always wanted to be a copper colored red head but when I've tried on some wigs they made me look even more pale. Darn   Mag

Good Morning Eileen,
I'm plodding along. I feel like sleeping as much as is possible.
My poor back is having some "issues"- I'm sure it is reacting to my stress level. My Mom moved back to the rehab hospital yesterday. She is very confused by the move- wants to go home. The biopsy was done on Thursday- I'm thinking we'll have results early next week.
My husband and I have a funeral today. Our good friend Paul died last Sunday. He was 57 and had terrible arthritus for many years. We don't know exactly what killed him- he just died that morning with no warning. My husband's group of friends is dying left and right. I haven't lost any of my friends that are in my age group... it's no wonder that women end up alone as they age. I know that my mother lost three husbands to death- a few others to divorce, but they are all dead too).
OH- I'm just a fountain of positivity today! LOL!
I'm going to lay down for a few minutes- then get dressed for our trip to Sacramento. Happy Day to all of you.
Julia
