Carla,

I don't expect to be in Florida before the 9th or 10th of September. Going to Disney World and Universal Studio before heading to Tampa area. I'll give you a heads up when I know more.    Mag

Hello to all

Trish - good luck to make it to your AA meeting - it's a priority.

Debbie - Wow a new job!  Congrats.

Not much is going on for me - it's Monday, so I'm getting back into work mode after a great weekend.

Take care to all!

Hi everyone, I had a great time in the Black Hills. Left some money at deadwood and saw the faces. It was over 100 degrees this weekend. You can fry an egg on the sidewalk. Have a great week. Keep Cool. Mona

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

We had our first night of printing the Monroe paper on the new press ... it looks nice but boy, it's much smaller. I like it but it's just different. Easier to hold, though. And we can put more color in the paper. I had color on every page in the sports section.

Everything went well, we finished on time. Fortunately, I was dealing with an editor who shuffles stories out quickly.

One of the coworkers bought lasagna and salad for the crew, so we had dinner ... it was yummy.

Connie, I think your disability check should be there; I can't imagine there will be any problems.

Well, it's already 99 degrees, feels like 111 here. Not going out until I have to. It's supposed to be up to 100 and over most of the week.  One of my coworkers, a native Louisianan, said yesterday, "I hate summer." Yeah, right.

Well, have a good day. Stay cool.

Good afternoon OFFers.

It's after lunch time but the furbrats always need attention when I return from work.

Annie strolled from room to room, upturning trash cans - empty ones. Baxter stuck his wee nose inside to investigate. Annie whapped him, he thought she might want to play. NOPE! those two seldom play well together.

We had a pleasant gathering of support group people for a dish to pass picnic. It proved that 'good for you' food can be very tasty. Nice to be around people who don't question how much or how little is on your plate. They #1. understand, #2. don't care. It was about company.

Hello everyone,

I cannot believe it is 5:30 p.m. already.  Oy vey!  What a day I've had.  My trauma & drama daughter has been on the war path today.  She called me earlier in the day to announce that she and the baby were leaving her "boyfriend/live-in" and coming home to Mama.

I won't bore you all with the details.  It doesn't matter, anyway.  All that I care about is Benny's welfare.  She knows that, and she knows she has me over a barrel because of it.  I have sent money to her, but I still don't know if and when she and Benny will show up here.  Phooey!  I'm exhausted.

My day began with great promise.  I went and had my first ever mani-pedi this morning and I loved it!  I got the full deal pedicure.  My feet feel like babies' feet!  So soft, and not to mention my pretty toenails!  My fingernails look pretty too!  I'm ready to go to the wedding on Saturday.

I think I'm headed for the hot tub.  Maybe a glass of wine.  Definitely some extra strength Tylenol.  I would like to watch the news about the mess in Washington, but I'm too wrung out to care right now.  I hope those idiots in Washington can pull it together tonight.  I don't believe in using this forum to discuss politics, but I do believe the time has come to CLEAN HOUSE in Washington.  Vote out every incumbent and start over with a fresh crop of idiots.  Who knows?  Maybe a new crop will do a better job than the old crop.

Prayers for little Morgan and for Julia's mom.  Hope that Cindi's surgery went well today.  Also congrats to Debbie on her new job.  Can't remember any more right now, but I love you all!

Hope it all goes OK for your daughter. I do this to my mom, too, but then I didn't give her any grandchildren, so it doesn't count. Just furgrandchildren (and she doesn't really like cats, except now she likes my brother's cat because ZuZu lives with her and likes her ... she feeds ZuZu). And my mom worries over everything.

Remember, that wine is going to hit you very hard. Have some cheese with it or after it.
