OT.....Dr Appointment

Hi everyone......

I did see my doctor today. She said nothing appears broken. She said I am bruised good inside and out....that is why I am having such pain. She wants me to continue with the Vicodin and Flexeril. And get this....she wants me to lay down and get plenty of rest the next 4 or 5 days.....now how funny is that???
I can't get a few hours a day now!!  Jamie has to work.....as does Nic. I will lay on the couch and do as little as possible. Jamie is getting Grace some new movies to watch and a few other little fun things to keep her occupied.  No cleaning on Friday!!

Looks like I will live. My ribs hurt worse from all the poking and prodding at the doctor's office. She wanted to be sure everything felt right.

My doctor and I went over all my blood work( also bariatric) I had a while back. Everything is really good. She said whatever I am doing keep on doing it. The only bad news was my Bone Scan...it is a little worse. I have tried every pill like Boniva and my pouch has rejected every one of them. She said she is going to have me get an IV of the medication. I will only need it once a year. Any of you know anything about this???

Thanks for all the good thoughs, hugs, and prayers!!

Love and hugs.....connie d

Connie,
I am so glad you have no broken bones.   Good luck getting 4-5 days of rest.  I can't sit still for five minutes.

I will pray for you to get more rest.

Hugs,
Trish

Connie.....yesterday I didn't even log on to my computer so when I logged on today and read about your Dr. visit, I went hunting the post to find out what happened to you!!!!!  Oh my goodness, what a fall!!  So so thankful you're ok and nothing's broken, especially that hip!!!

Heed to the Dr.'s orders as best as you can.  Make a game of you're being down, have Grace make a Nurse's cap and be your Nurse and praise her for everything, including being quite for you to rest.  Allow her to pretend you're her patient, let her brush your hair, take  your temperature, mock shots, etc.  Little girls LOVE playing Nurse.  Best of luck to you!!

Cindy.....I had Grace play nurse yesterday.....she did fine for awhile then she was off playing with her dolls . We put her little kitchen in a corner in the livingroom and her dolls, cradle and such. She actually was pretty good yesterday.

 Thanks for caring......hugs...connie d

So glad nothing is broken, Connie.   Inside and outside bruises are bad enough.

I know several ladies that have the once-a-year infusion for bone loss and they get along just fine.  That might just be your best option.

Good idea about having the little one play nurse....bet she'd love it and you'd get more rest that way.

Keeping you in my prayers,
Pat r.

(((Connie))) I remember when I was sick and I still had my boys, they were pretty good when I had to rest up. They would get me my water or pills when I asked them to get what I needed. And they also watched tv or played quietly. So maybe Grace will be ok for you while you rest up for those few days!

Glad nothing is broken!!!!

Hi Judy.....thanks for the good thoughts. Grace was with me at the doctor. She told her mom last night that the doctor told me to rest. She has been good. We have plenty of fun things for her to do. Yes, I am sure she will be my nurse again today.

Hugs....connie d

Hi Connie,

I am glad nothing is broken. It still hurts a LOT.    Try to get as much rest as possible. I like the idea of Grace being your nurse. That would be soooo sweet.      Mag
