OFF
hmmm, very interesting Judy, as I am the someone who planned it and I never got my nose out of joint. . . but due to a number of reasons, it is not done openly any longer and has nothing to do with excluding people, it's more about not having anyone feel excluded who would want to come and can't because of one reason or another. . .we had a real good time in Philadelphia last year.
Anyone wanting to host a GTG, let me tell you, it is fun once everyone gets there, but putting it together can indeed test the patience of a saint. You have to have an idea of what you want to do, how to accompli**** think in terms of reality as to how many people you can accommodate, what special needs any might have, the ability to be able to move a group of people around, logistics wise and basically be ok with taking charge, because when you have a group of people who are as different as we all can be, well I think you get the picture. But the end result in the several I've been privileged to attend, is an awesome experience and creates a sense of connectedness that is really wonderful.
Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
