Sunday- what's going on there?
Just popping in to make sure that you are all safe on the East coast...please be careful and don't take risks with your safety!
I will spend the day studying ZUKAV in preparation for my LifePath classes that start in September., drinking my protein and staying hydrated.
I also must wrap my gifts to send home with my Argentina cousin who will visit at the end ofthis week. It's always hard to choose something remenicent of her trip yet also that must be non-fragile, small & easy to pack.
I chose several numbered watercolour prints from a local artist that reflect the area here and are beautifully done....one for my cousin, one for my half-uncle and aunt. Her Dad and mine were half brothers..same father, different mothers, 20 years apart.
JB, myself, Dan, Amy & Derek will host a dinner out at a local restaurant in Alexa's honour. My niece Heather & hubby Zach, her sister Karen, hubby Pierre and sons, Nik & Alex will also come with us. Of course, my sister, Susan, their mother and husband Rn will NOT attend since she no longer speaks to me..her choice. She didnt bother to attend Mother's funeral either. At this point, I accept that she hates me as well because I dared to say that it was pathetic that she holds so much hatred and anger from sixty years ago! My bad. Regardless we shall have a nice dinner together.
Derek's lady Kasia (kathy) is still out onboard the Griffin, a Coast Guard ship where she is Head Chef for the crew. She works onboard for one month, then has one month off, back and forth...so she will not be with us for dinner.
Before he went to work at the club last night, Derek barbequed some steaks for us and I baked sweet potatoes and steamed green beans. I dared to eat a bit of lean steak and was surprised that it actually stayed down this time! Even now after all this time, beef is usually too dense for Rufus, my pouch. Oh did that taste delicious! Later, I had a wonderful tree-ripened peach...yummy!
Well I'd better stop and get to bed for a few hours...have a SAFE and wonderful day!

Nancy, it is most definitely a sad thing when people harbor bad feelings for so long and at a certain point, I think we need to just say what's on our mind, whether or not people like it (lol). . .glad you enjoyed your steak, I can only eat beef if it is still pinkish and then only in small quantity and, of course, chewed well, considering how much I once loved it, I don't miss it all that much. . . enjoy your day!
Well here in SWNJ (suburb of Philadelphia), survived Irene, she was mostly and intense rain storm here, still have the back end of the storm and the tide to worry about, but considering all those who lost power and had trees and other damage, I really consider myself extremely blessed. Just came in from looking out back and my neighbors, behind and next door, both lost their sheds with tree limbs coming down on them and my neighbor next door has a lake where his yard used to be, just got off the phone with Tony and up by him, all is well, too. . . more blessings. So still feeling the effects, but think the most of the worst is behind us. . .
So today has me looking at indoor activities, I know Roxie is one happy dog, everyone home 2 days in a row. . .
Hope everyone else has a good day and that anyone who has been affected by Irene is doing well, as always, I wish peace and strength to any facing life challenges.

Not much new here, still company every weekend. I do enjoy it. Well I think I discovered why I was so tired all the time. I started taking iron pills last week, from the organic food store. I can't believe the difference. Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of the headaches & I will be so happy.

I am doing very well. Have been to early church and then out to Kroger to get yogurt.
Have to give you all a laugh......I signed up on a Senior Dating Site -- OMG, you wouldn't believe what responses I've gotten from guys up to 22 yrs YOUNGER than me...and guess what that's all about --- YUP = sex! They must think I'm some needy old lady who needs some online kinky stuff. Blocked those guys quickly. Been interested in several really nice looking ones, but haven't gotten a response.....guess I'm too old and ugly....laugh laugh. Any way it is just for fun - don't really expect anything to come of it. Pd for 6 months and that's gonna be the end.

I have several men I keep in contact with....it is fun!! Every now and then I take a break and sign off for awhile.
