Bringing up the rear today. Just back from Houston this evening. Very long travel day!
The good news is that I had a great 6 month checkup at the WL surgeon! He was very pleased with my progress on WL. And my labs were all good. My blood pressure was so low, I couldn't believe it. And my cholesterol was 155! Woo hoo!
He does want me to exercise more. No surprise there. I've just kind of been avoiding the issue all summer. It's so bleepin' HOT here. Makes you just want to sit on the couch and veg. But okay. I hear ya, Doc! I'll go check out the local health club this week. It's either that or Curves. Not many choices here.
He also dropped my protein requirement down from 80 grams per day to 50. That should help. Wants me to eat more fruit and veggies and not worry so much about eating meat. I've been really pushing and pushing to get 80 grams of protein in a day, even with drinking a Pro Joe daily. So hubby and I both like fruits and veggies. This is not a hardship by any means.
Anyway, got hubby dropped off at the airport in the early afternoon. Sigh. Another 30+ days alone. I already miss him.
I did stop at Sam's and a vegetable stand on the way home, but still, I did pretty good to get home by 5 p.m. today. Now all I want to do is soak in the hot tub awhile and then watch The Closer and Rizzoli and Isles tonight.
Karen, glad you are past that first week post-op! Prayers for a better 2nd week. Grammy, so glad to hear you and your family are okay. Cindi, you, too! (Take it easy on that sewing. Hate to rip out seams!) Saw Cindy (Outer Banks) posting on FB, so she's okay, too. And Laureen is fine. Hope we hear from Kristi soon.
Remembering Sharon and her surgery today. Prayers for all else who need them. Oh! Nan, glad to see that little Morgan is home. Love each and every one of you!

Well thought I would stop in fo a minute and let you all know that I am doing much better with my pain and new medication dr put me on!!!! No more headaches and the pain is just about gone...its still there but I can bear with it I guess you could say...still no word on my blood work. GRRRR Will let you know when I know.
OK off to get some relaxing in before bedtime. Wrestling comes on in a few minutes and need to get my nightie on and get comfy...LOL yeah I love to watch wrestling...Rick created a monster in me now...hahaha monday nights and friday nights...and this week tuesday night!!! WOOOHOOO!!! LOL
