TGIF- What's Happening?
Good Morning OFF FAmily,
Congratulations to all my Michigan friends on the Tigers beating the Yankee. I hope they go all the way with the Phillies.
Today, I am hanging loose, laying low. I am exhausted because I did not sleep well, Potty calls in the middle of the night do mot nake for restful sleep.

Happy friday, I am so ready for the weekend. It has been pretty warm for October. Just got back from Nashville. It is so beautiful there. There are some crazy drivers there. This weekend I am doing some major cleaning. My DH is finishing up bean harvest. I am still a "bean widow". Have a great weekend everyone. Mona

Morning all, sober 341 days and so proud of me.
Not much going on. No doctor appointments today. Beautiful here, but cold in MA. Winter coats and gloves out, getting ready for our trip there. Yoda's new sweater packed too.
Rv all cleaned up and laundry is almost done.
Pool time will be a priority. Getting ready for my daily dose of good citizenship....calling the WH and Congressional members. Enjoying my freedom of speech and thoughts.
Made strawberry shortcake per hubby's request. After rolling thunder stomach I remember that deeply colored fruits do not like me. No more strawberries, watermelon, blueberries....the price is too high....great taste, but an upset tummy is not fun.

I am so proud of you for your sobriety. You amaze me staying sober without AA. I can't do that feat. Keep up the great work.
Sorry to hear my favorite fruits don't agree wtih you. My mom can't have anything with seeds, because she has diverticulis. I wish I could keep that in mind for when I cook for her.

Good morning Trish and my OFF sistas!
Up and at 'em. Another big travelling day for us. Hubby got the Uhaul trailer yesterday afternoon and we got it mostly loaded last night. You all would laugh if you could see hubby and I moving furniture together. We're pretty pitiful, but at least we don't fight when we do it!
This morning I've got to pack clothes. Everything I left for me to wear down at the lakehouse is now way too big. Hurray for that! I've got to take a new supply of lakehouse clothes down there with me this trip. Old jeans, capris, shorts, tees, etc. I like to leave clothes there so I don't have to pack as much stuff for each trip.
Looking forward to our stop in Waco this evening and seeing our oldest daughter, Carrie. I miss her so much! I know she's where she's supposed to be, doing what she's supposed to do, but I miss my Care Bear!
And DH is almost beside himself with wanting to see Benny again! He hasn't seen him since Aug 6th. Over 2 months! He really needs his Benny-fix!
So, hugs and prayers to all who need them. Enjoy this beautiful fall weekend with your family and friends!

Good morning Trish & Monica & all. So glad the Tigers made it! I was doubtful as I was laying in bed listening to the game. Not good for me as I stress easily.
Well I am packing for my trip. Have to be ready to go on a moments notice. only taking 2 dogs with us. The 2 poorly behaved ones, no one wants them, well they do, but I like these people & still want to be friends. I am so excited, I will be driving my DH crazy until we get there.
Stressing so much, Monica I need some tips on how to calm down!!!!! To top things off my car has started to overheat. DH is trying to fix it before we leave, my son needs to use it while we are gone. I keep praying to let God take over, wish I wasn't such a control freak!!!!

I work every day to diminish my OCDing. I have to make a conscious effort to NOT replay all the what ifs in life. Karen C has offered tips and ways to divert this empty energy that can consume me. Many days I can now get into the truck and not think about going out. I still have to carry my fishing hat blanket of life even when wearing my new hat. Silly stuff I know.

Place your mind in favorite place where peace and calmness can grow. Realize that you can be happy within the minute of any situation. Car overheating would scare me silly....but why? Help is there with hubby or roadside assistance. Packing extra water works.
Safe passage, control yourself....we can't control anything else as hard as we try. Be GOOD TO YOU.

Finally, my weekend. Woke up several times in the middle of my night (early morning to the rest of you) ... once coughing so bad I couldn't breathe. I had to take some cough medicine and some deep breaths to get back to sleep. Woke up at 10 to the phone ringing, with a headache ... let the phone ring and went back to sleep ... got up at noon finally still with the headache, and it comes and goes. Well, no work today so I guess it doesn't matter.
I have to go get my tags from the Hyundai dealer but otherwise I have no plans. Otherwise I wouldn't even leave the house. Too tired to do much of anything. Then I'm going to watch the two ballgames tonight. Congrats to the Tigers; anyone who can oust the Yankees is great in my book.
We were supposed to have water off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today as they fixed a water main but the water was on when I got up, so I don't know what happened.
Work was OK last night; I had help on the second sports section, which was great. Instead of eight pages, I only had four, so that was so much better.
Anyway, I'm so tired. So glad I'm off for two days. Have a good day. Trish, hope your team wins.
