Good News/Bad News
Had a very nice day filled with activities for a change. Made crockpot sweet & sour chicken before church, then after church put together a butternut squash custard (similar to pumpkin pie).
My sis came up for lunch and then we went to see "The Help" great movie and followed the book pretty well.
When I got home I had a message from my friend.
"I'm home -- call me"....I was surprised since he hadn't let me know. However, he had good news in that the son-in-law came out of the coma and is doing really well, albeit he has four broken bones, but they are going to let him go home this coming Wednesday.
So Jim is home until Wednesday and then is going back to Okla City to help out again.....boo hoo
We hope to get together either tomorrow or Tues.
He has a lot of catch up on at his home -- he also owns a mobile home park, and needs to make sure everything is going smoothly there....plus his other daughter is expecting a new baby soon....
So happy he's back in Michigan, even if it's only for a couple days, but sorry for myself he has to leave again so soon......I WILL SURVIVE!!!
That's my news -- Tigers game postponed until tomorrow afternoon.
