Day Three: Today I am thankful for--
Today I am thankful for . . . ELECTRICITY!!! Oh my, we had a big storm blow through last night and I lost my power from 10 p.m. until 3 a.m. I hung in there with the oil lamp and candles until about 1 a.m., but then I gave up and went to bed. Of course, when the power finally did come back on, so did the TV and all the lights! LOL! I had to hop up and turn everything off again, but I'm grateful to have my power restored!

Vickie,
Yes, it is something to be thankful for, many here in the Northeastern part of the country are feeling what it is like to be without it for a lengthy time, as the early snow storm that hit these parts, caused a lot of people to be without it, some still are and have been since Saturday. . .
I, myself, am thankful to Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith, two drunks, one, who for those not familiar with the story of how AA got started, Bill Wilson was at a hotel in Ohio, sober about 6 months, a business deal had gotten all tangled up and he sat in the lobby of the hotel he was staying a****ching from across the lobby as people were gayly enjoying themselves in the bar, alcohol was beckonin him, but he got hold of himself and called a local church to see if there was someone he could help, which led him to Dr. Bob and that is the way it all began, 76 years ago and as a result of those two men, a movement followed that has helped transform millions of lives, of which mine is one. . .
Gratitude is an action word and it is in helping others that we show ours each day.

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Today I am thankful for the medical advances that have enabled my sons to have healthier, normal lives free from flare ups and pain, and able to walk, and me to become healthy for the first time since I was a child.
