Do it right--5 Rights of WLS success
I am set to walk/run today and meet with the trainer from hell; however, yesterday my friend said the gym is supposed to be closed today. I am not sure, so if it is closed, I will walk after work.
Yesterday, I didn’t do any exercise after a very rushed and brief Yoga. I have my Yoga mat in the floor, but today I just cannot seem to get my old bones on the floor. So, I’ve done some stretches in the chair and hopefully whatever has made me stiff will be worked out today.
You guys know the drill: move or keep it. I read someone’s post from yesterday or the day before that was about abdominal fat. So, I did a little preliminary research and found an article from the Mayo clinic. Some of obese folks abdominal fat is from fat that is stored intra abdominally or under the abdominal muscle and around the organs. It is a different type of fat cell and excretes some very dangerous chemicals that among other things can set off inflammatory responses and can cause cancer. The only way to lose it is to avoid fatty foods and sugary creamy foods and to walk or run. And, because we lose weight so rapidly, and because it usually starts in the abdomen that is where the weight gain comes back first. If you are still holding weight in your abdomen, increase your green vegetables, your raw vegetables, and walk; I mean walk more than you are walking now. I bought a new sack of celery, cucumbers, and apples to make me some more raw snacks. We wls folks struggle with getting enough protein that sometimes we don’t realize that we are making some bad choices. If you are one of the ones whose abdomen seems to be holding its own, look at your meat sources—cut out pork, chicken fat, and milk. Get rid of any and all your sugary deserts and if you are making healthy sweets, look at the fat content. Cut it all out.
Today, you have a chance to do it all over again—are you going to do it half way right or are you going to it right? Right food, Right time, Right amount, right moves, righ now.
Seated near the cash register, I could hear people give their orders. The counter person tried her best to push all the sugary, fat filled baked goods. Maybe it's the Chantix, but I wanted to go up and give her Hell!
I did take a two hour walk. More of a stroll but it got me out of the house and out of bed.
Started the day right, packed all the right foods and went to the gym where I spent time stretching and on the elliptical, then more stretching and got ready for work, where I am typing at you right now. Hope you have a wonderful day (had one, by the time you probably read this again). . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Do two trips to SAMs count as anything???
Well, to be honest, I've been running all day and have just gotten home. Time to sit down with a cup of jambalaya from Whole Foods. Yummy, spicy and warm......
While I was out and about I did go to the gym(thank you very much) and worked with weights for 45 minutes
Tomorrow will be a good eating day because I won't be able to lift my arms enough to get my hand to my mouth.. Interesting strategy, but if it works, what the Hell!
