Fim arms and perky chest
Hi Lightswitch,
This is the only picture I have so far.
The worst thing about the recuperation is that you have no use of your arms for the first 3 days, not even to wipe your behind or feed yourself. The pain was not too bad and could be managed for the first 24 hours with a morphine pump that could be triggered every 10 minutes, but I used it may be every couple of hours or so. Then with Roxicet (oxydocone and tylenol solution). Again, I tried to use it as infrequently as possible. Switched to extra-strength Tylenol after a week. Had to wear a pressure garment that includes three-quarter sleeves 24/7 for six weeks.
I went to my son's house after 48 hours, but had a nurse's aide come twice a day to feed me, bathe me, help me use the bathroom, change bandages, for about a week.
After a week, I took some iron pills that did not agree with me, and the force of the vomiting tore up the internal sutures in my right breast, resulting in a hemorrhage. Had to be rushed back to surgery and the doctor had to redo the right breast. There have been no lasting effects from that (the right one looks as great as the left one). Unfortunately, the bleeding led to anemia, which I am still trying to correct.
Nevertheless, I am very pleased with the results and would do it again in a heartbeat, although I would be more careful about how I took the supplements, maybe revert back to chewable/liquid supplements, to avoid throwing up at all costs.
Hope this answers your questions. Best of luck with your procedure and keep me posted.

thanks it did. I am hoping that I can get this done over the summer; provided DH gets his eyes transplanted so he can see to help. If not, I'll try over the Christmas holiday. My arms are so bad that I have no air between my arms when they are extended. It's like melted skin or worse. My boobs are just awful…I can live without having them lifted, but since they are dong my arms, they said they will do the boobs too. I also have a little bit of skin on my back that needs adjusting but the surgeon said it wasn't bad but it would trim it some. I also have managed to get my insurance to cover my thigh lift because I have had shingles three times in that area and my pubic area, so they see the skin as being a detrimite to the healing. So, my bad with shingles and my neck fx make the surgeries insurance covered. Wonder if I could work a face lift in too.
I'm not sure I follow your meaning about DH getting his eyes transplanted, but I hope it all works out for you. You're so lucky to have the surgeries covered by ins. I had to pay cash for all mine, and the future tummy tuck and thigh lift will probably wipe out my 401K.
Best of luck and keep me posted.
