Hi my OFF family:

Just a quick hello, and I'll check back later. I was up early Tuesday to get to my pain doc for my shot. So far, so good. But when I got home, I was drowsy but wanted coffee, water and breakfast. So I had that, and by the time I was done, it was time to go to work. So I never got a nap and went into work sleepy. I was glad when I finally read that last story and could go home.

Now I really need to get to bed. So sleepy ... ... so chat away, I'll check back later. I have an appointment with the knee doc, then have to do laundry and make something for dinner. Have a good day.

Good Morning Eileen and OFF-

Eileen glad to hear that you are getting some help with the pain issues.  Hope it works well for you.

I'm up early this morning to walk the trail with the ranger looking for birds.  The project leader is running a contest to see which team sees the most species of birds on this particular trail which is attached to the HQ building.  He selfishly wants to get a bird list compiled for the trail to encourage birders to come visit the facility.  So I'll do my part and get some morning exercise in.

I'm really struggling with the comfort eating.  I know it the transition anxiety and I need to get it under control.  I do not want to go backwards in the weight loss category before I go for my belated 6 month followup with my surgeon.  So back to salads and healthy choices.

Not much else is new here.  The weather has been wonderful with very low humidity.  I'm wrapping up my project and packing up the desk for the summer.

Positive thoughts to all in need.

Good Morning Eileen and OFF Family,
I so appreciate these daily check-ins with you all.  It really brightens my day.

I just got a call from the hematologist's about my INR, which is my coumadin level.  It's 12, and normal is between 2.5 and 3.5.  They want to check my blood again and then possibly give me a shot of Vitamin K.  Then, I am have a lunch date with my son, Sean, who came home from Pittsburgh with me, and my sister.  She wants to see Sean.

This afternoon, I need to work on my Bible study, which I worked on twice in Michigan.  I love what I am learning about God and discerning His voice.

I am enjoying my son being in town.  He won a civil case yesterday.

Love to all,
Trish

Good mornin' ya'll.
Hope you got some sleep, Eileen.
My DIL's surgery has been re-scheduled for May 22. The same day I was gonna drive my son to his doctor for his shot in his back! Luckily our grandson will be here (the one who goes to Camden Military Academy in SC). He can drive our son, I can be with our DIL.
Our daughter had her appt with the mediator yesterday. She was told her demands are not unreasonable. Of course her soon to be ex is dragging his feet and his appt isn't til May 11. It's not like he has a busy schedule! Anyway, after he meets, then they meet together and then the mediator, mediates. If they can come to a meeting of the minds they can be divorced in 30 days. She is sooo ready to have this behind her! I think he thinks the longer he drags his feet, the more likely she will be to accept HIS demands.
Oh, when I went to see my PCP Monday for my regular check up. He was surprised I had lost so little weight since my sleeve. He said because the sleeve also includes a 'diversion' it is like gastric bypass and I should have dropped a ton! I spoke to my patient coordinator at the surgeon's office and she said they don't do a diversion with the sleeve. The sleeve is the first step in getting to a duodinal switch, where they do the diversion. But most people loose all their weight with just the sleeve. She has only seen 3 patients that didn't. Me, one guy who needed his tightened up (they already did that with me), and a woman who needed her "diet adjusted". I can adjust my own diet! Isn't that called will power? I know the WLS is a tool. But it should be a tool that actually works! This has me sooooo frustrated!
Another absotively gorgeous day on tap here in paradise! I sooooooo love NC and my cozy little house. And my AC when the humidity is high in the summer!!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Hi Eileen and fellow OFFers,
I'm cold, tired and dizzy. Nearly fell yesterday several times. Get the walker out and do my balance exercises more routinely. Will try to check back in later.

Good morning, Eileen, and my OFF sistas!

Well, for those of you who missed it yesterday, my daughter got offered TWO jobs yesterday.  The first was at Target, which she accepted and spent the afternoon doing the drug testing and such.  She was happy about it, but then Hobby Lobby called last night.  They offered her a job that paid $2 an hour MORE, plus better hours.  She accepted it on the spot and she starts there TODAY.  They are going to put her in fabric, which she will love.  So she has to call Target back today and tell them she accepted another position, which she is sort of dreading, but I told her, they can't argue with you about the money.

Anyway, she left for work this morning with a small amount of regret for leaving Benny behind, but I told her what she's feeling is normal.  I remember when I first had to go back to work after having kids.  I cried on the way to work more times than I care to 'fess up to!  And mine were 6 and 3 years old at the time.  it's very hard to leave a baby, I know.

I wish you all could have been here when I fed the deer this morning.  Oh my goodness, I had 4 or 5 of them coming up to eat out of my hand.  Sometimes 2 or 3 at once!  I feed them corn, and I also quarter one of those little apples.  I feed the apple pieces to anyone who is brave enough to come up and get one from me.  This morning I had 4 different takers!  LOL!

The mommies are getting bigger every day.  Won't be long now.

So, I'm very pumped about my WL this week.  I weighed 178.8 this morning!  A new low.  C'mon 175!  I will get there yet!

Don't know what Benny and I will do all day today.  Chris is working until 5 p.m., so we have the whole day together.  We definitely need to vacuum.  That didn't happen yesterday as planned.  We might walk down to the park today.  It's about a quarter mile from here.  It's all downhill on the way there, but that means it's all the way uphill back home again.  I think Benny could walk down there, but I'll probably have to take the stroller and push him back home.

So glad to read about everybody.  You all mean so much to me!

Love you all!

Vickie, that is fantastic news about your daughter. I hope she loves it! I know you will have so much fun with Benny. Think of all the wonderful things you can do with him! And isn't it great that you are ABLE to do those things. Weight loss is such a freeing thing!!

Amen, sista!  I could never have run after a toddler all day before WLS.  I was too fat and too out of shape!

Good Morning All,
Busy day for me today. Two of my grandchildren will be confirmed this evening. Lots of family will be there to join in the celebration. So proud of them both.
My ex-boss (we retired at the same time) is taking me to lunch today for Administrative Assistants Day. He is such a sweet heart. I am truly blessed to have him and his wife in my life!
Tomorrow morning it's back to the orthopedic surgeon to determine if we go forward with knee replacement surgery.
Hope everyone has a wonderfully blessed day.

Afternoon OFF family...well I am still NOT feeling like myself today...not sure what is my problem...cleaning my office and trying to make it more cheerful. HAHAHA it is full of paperwork that is going no place! I have my end done and waiting for replies is about as much fun as watching paint dry!

Nothing new here at all. Weather is weird still. 60* calling for rain this afternoon. Yippee.

Tried to close my bank account yesterday here in town. They wanted to CHARGE me $25 to do that!! They said I had to have it open for 3 months or pay a fine. So how much longer do I need this account I asked her. She said til may 10th. FINE. So I took out some money to put in my other bank 12 miles away so I could pay my bills that are coming due soon. This bank in town here is really ******g me off big time with thier petty rules. If I had known about them BEFORE I opened that account I never would have opened one there! Oh well soon I will be done with them!!!

Well time to go back to work. Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!

HUGS
