Good Morning OFF Friends
Heres hoping its a grand day for all!  Its raining here in Owosso now with the sunrise shining brightly!  I love this kind of early morning since I cant sleep past 530.  This am I woke to some yowls.   I snagged some baby feral kittys the other day and then figured out they were too young to eat.   but they were so wet and cold and shivering and scared and tiny!    it didn't take them long to figure out that big old Meany who stole them from momma could be nice with that nice warm yummy  white stuff in a small bottle!  they are coming fine.
We had a great time on our vacation and got home fine to resume our normal boring life.
I am hoping to meet up with Trish again this week  but don't really expect too as she seems more interested in the new grand baby!!!!
Prayers going out to all friends who want and need them
Have a great day everyone

Good mornin' ya'll.
Jo, you sound so chipper! We had our fair share of feral kitties when we lived in OR. We caught as many of the adults as we could. In our county they would spay/neuter feral cats for like $20. We lived on a dead end and everyone was always leaving their cats there. I'm not a huge pet person, but WHY would anyone do that?? After we got the babies old enough we found good homes for them.
Our HUGE orange lillies are all in bloom, and our 2 rose bushes are blooming. Our lilacs are smelling sooooo good! I love this place! DIL stopped by on her way to work. Everyone has finally gotten shower plans decided for our great grandbaby's Momma. Her and grandson are coming back for his brother's graduation. Shower will be at a local restaurant so no one was to decorate and/or clean up. I asked her where the kids were staying for the week. She said her house. Asked how our son felt about that. She said he didn't know yet, but he was gonna have to live with it!! This relationship is gonna be, and if our son and DIL want to be able to be proper grandparents they have got to mend fences. She is absolutely correct!! Our son is as stubborn as his Dad. But he also knows what's right is right. Sometimes he just needs a slap upside his head to get the word!!!
Everyone have a grand and fantabulous day!!

Good morning Jo and Carolyn!  And all my OFF sistas to come!

This is a happy day for me!  Hubby is due into the SA airport in just a couple more hours.  I sure am ready for a big ol' hug and a kiss from him!  It's been a really stress-filled 3 weeks since he left.  Happy days, but lots of adjustments and stresses to deal with.  I'm ready for some support from my better half.

So Benny and I will leave here and go to explore the fascinating world of airport terminals and parking at a brand new airportin San Antonio.  Should be an interesting trip!  LOL!

Jo, that's really sweet of you to take care of those baby kitties.  We've had our share of "dumped" animals out in the country, too.  I just don't understand people who do that.

Carolyn, so glad to hear that your DIL is reaching out to her new DIL.  I know what it feels like to be disappointed that your child is having a baby.  Lord knows, I never wanted Chris to get pregnant.  But, as you say, what's done is done and now there's a baby coming, ready or not.  I've been really proud of you and your "stand" about the baby since last fall.  Your example has led the way for other to follow.  The baby deserves all the love and affection and stabillity that his parents and g-parents and gg-parents can bestow on him.

LOL!  Benny has yogurt in his eyebrows this morning!  I foresee another quick bath before we get dressed.

I'd better get to moving.  We have to leave in an hour.

Love you all!

Good Morning Jo and OFF-

Thought I had posted but apparently it disappeared!

After almost ten days of traveling I finally arrived at my cabin yesterday.  Everything seems to have survived the mild winter.  The only thing I found were tons of dead gnats inside the cabin.  I'll have a lot of vaccuuming to do over the next several days.  Also discovered that someone or something drained the kerosene tank which was 3/4 full when I left.

So I hauled in firewood, started the gas stove and turned on a small electric heater that I keep in the bedroom.  When I opened the door the temp was 52 in the house, when I went to bed the temp was 78 in living room.  The oil company is coming to pressure test the fuel line to make sure there isn't a leak today and will bring 10 gallons of kerosene for tonight.  I'm pretty sure that the kerosene was stolen over the winter.  This is a very poor area.  If they were that desperate to steal the kerosene they can have it.  If they were just lazy ice fishermen then they should be embarassed.

Visited with my PCP on Monday.  He was delighted with my weight loss.  He officially declared that I no longer have high blood pressure.  I'm delighted.  They called me this morning to tell me that my cholesterol was off the charts as well as my thyroid.  I expected the cholesterol but not the thyroid.

What a difference a year makes.  Last year I could barely move because of my back problems and weight.  I could never have hauled in all the firewood that I did yesterday without stopping to rest or sit down.  Not a problem yesterday.  Last year I panicked when I thought of yard work I got depressed.  This year I am looking forward to cleaning the yard up and working in the gardens.

Have any of you experienced bladder control issues when you lost all the weight?  I am having problems with bladder control.  My PCP said it could be aging, weight loss or my back problems that are contributing.  Going to talk to my WLS surgeon when I go for my delayed 6 mo. checkup.  I think it's my back problems more than anything but I'm curious if anyone else had the issue when they lost their weight.

Mag-  Got my receipts for the Pampered Chef order, thanks for mailed them.  I'll pick up my stones when I go to town on Friday.

Grammylew-  Kudos for you with the grandson and future great.  You led by example and now DIL is coming onto the band wagon.  That's terrific.

Vickie-  safe travels to the airport.  Benny will love going to pick up Grandpa!

Positive thoughts to all of you in need.  That's all from rainy and chilly Maine.

Afternoon OFF family...

Today is a day from hell...washer leaked all over the laundry room...another one coins are stuck...tenant calls me tells me Rick is a thief...stole money from her when he did work for her...he was never even IN her apartment to do ANY work for her!!! My car was making an awful noise so I took it into the mechanic and he heard nothing!! Found that my back breaks were gone though...ok fine...fix them! Got the car back after $200.00 to get them fixed. So there goes that surprise trip home to see mom for Mothers Day!!!

Sky is getting dark AGAIN looks like it could rain AGAIN and I am in no mood for flooding!!!!!!

Lunch is over so back to the office I need to go.

Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them.

HUGS

Hi Jo and my OFF family:

Got up way too early this morning ... 10 a.m., which is early for me. Kept waking up, played solitaire on my iPad and then fell asleep playing solitaire, listening to Pandora music.

Juliette is much better after the cortisone shot ... not so itchy today. She is so serene. She even had itchies in her butt. I couldn't believe all the hives she had on here  ... on her tummy and everything. Boy, the poor little thing.

Last night was election night here ... it was crazy at work although it wasn't supposed to be. We were told at work that the reporters would fill the "boxes" we had on the page ... well, none of them did, everything was overwritten. Then we had an unexpected story that had to get on the front page that was not election-related. So, yeah, fun night.

Well, I have two days off, going to the chiropractor today and then to get a card for Mother's Day ... no gift to put in it but at least the thought will be there. Anyway have a good day.
