Weary Wednesday Wassup?

Good Morning All,
Going to be another hot one here in San Antonio - 106 yesterday. It will cool off to 101 today, yeah!
Judy, you haven't chewed off more than you can handle. Just take it one day, one hour at a time and you will do great!!
Thanks for posting about your gain Vickie. I have been bouncing back and forth between 183 and 186. You just gave me a kick in the rear to be back in gear. No more excuses. Just need to do what I know works.
Been busy packing - I'm moving in with my oldest daughter. My son has sold his property where my mobile home is located. On to a new chapter in my life.

Good afternoon my wonderful Off family!!

Finally I have a few minutes to check in!! It has been a whirlwind with Gracie here!!  We have had so many fun things to do!  My grandson Nic, Gracie's brother, was here since Sunday too. He just left to drive back to Iowa. My granddaughter, Amanda is here and is now spending time with Grace so I can have a little free time. I will be meeting my daughter, Jamie is southern Minnesota on Friday to take Grace back. It is nice when we each only have to drive  1/2 way. I will then drop Amanda off in Minneapolis before I come back home.

Temps are at least 100 today. If the humidity isn't too bad we may go to the splash park for awhile after lunch.

I sure have missed all of you these last few days!

Trish....I am so glad your surgery went well. I kept you in my prayers!

Carolyn....all those jellies/jams always sound so good. You sure are a busy lady!

It is really nice to see some newer ladies her too!! Welcome and it sure is great to have you here!!

Afternoon Trish and the rest of OFF-

Fifth consecutive day of rain here in Maine.  I think I'm going to have webbed feet soon.  Supposed to clear and get hot by the weekend which will mean humidity and mosquitoes.

Since I've lost the weight I cannot sit still without wanting to eat so I'm trying to engage myself in projects to keep busy and also motivate myself to keep going on the weight loss journey.  I'm really missing my water fitness classes that I took in Texas.  I'd have to drive 35 miles to do the same here in Maine.  I really don't want to do that so I'm going to have to step up the pedaling and more yoga for the core muscles.

I've volunteered to work at the town library one day a week.  That's very similar to what I did at the wildlife Refuge over the winter.  It gets me out of the house, interacting with people and not being bored.  Since I'm cleaning out storage totes and closets I've also volunteered to coordinate the community garage sale at the end of July.  I'm joining the neighbor ladies on Friday's to play Mah Jong. 

The two times that we've gathered to play the hostess has had brownies.  I told her that it wasn't right that we were always eating and volunteered to bring the snack this week.  I'm going to experiment with a fruit pizza.  I'm substituting splenda for the sugar part.  The crust is pretzels, splenda and margarine.  I bought fat free cool whip to be the sauce and I'm going to top with fresh raspberries, black berries, strawberries, peaches and kiwi.  I'll also leave the leftovers at the Hostess' house so I won't clean it up.

I've got 35 pounds to go to get to goal.  The only way it's going to come off is to continue exercising and cut back on my calories/carbs.  I think I'm going to do a week of the pre-surgery liquids to see if that moves the scales a bit.  My size 18 pants are getting tight.  I haven't gained but obviously the tightening from water fitness is lossening.

That's all from Maine.  Vickie put Benny and Chris on the same food plan.  While he's in gymnastics go to Curves.  Trish hope your next surgery goes well.  Grammylew make your DH play with the dogs and do the watering since he convinced you to buy a bushel of peaches.  How about pickled peaches?  I used to can those in the good old days.

Positive thoughts to all of you in need.  Cooling thoughts to all of you in the hot zone.  Glad I'm not in Texas at the moment but I would love to send this wet weather to Texas.

I've wanted to make a fruit pizza, and would love the recipe, at least for the crust.  I know that Cool Whip also makes a sugar free version, which is hard to find, but I've seen it.

Evening OFF family!!!

Not much going on here except that aid is back again that threw the papers in my face and said I was the crazy one!!! Heard that she is telling Randy "to stay away from that crazy nut woman in the office" well guess who is going to make another call to her supervisor in the morning?! Yup me!!!!! See how she likes me being "crazy'!!!  She IS now parking in the visitors area...LMAO.

Weather here is getting hot. Tomorrow they say we could see 101*!!! Had a call from a churck letting me know they are opening their doors for those that do not have AC and that they will have cold drinks and some snacks. That was nice of them. I told them we have two club houses that will have AC on for those that do not have AC in their apartments. Told the guys that they will NOT be doing ANY strenous work outside nor inside tomorrow in this heat!! Just a take it easy day!!! Just keep an eye on the tenants is about it for them.

Well supper is ready s need to go eat...know I am reading but no time to post alot...just to pooped out right now... :-)
