Greetings Vrinda,
Is Melbourne where you are having your surgery?  How exciting this time is for you.  I remember it well.

I have a dog.  He has two speeds, fast or asleep.  He loves to play fetch, and run around the yard.  He seems to go a mile a minute, at top speed.  Then, he crashes and sleeps the rest of the time.  He also follows me all around the apartment, and outside to water my plants and to the back yard where I do my morning prayer and devotions.

Please keep checking in with us.  I love that we have friends from all over the globe.

God bless.

Trish

Oh Vrinda,
I know what is is like to be away from my children and grandchildren.  My daughter and her family live in Michigan, which is about a 12 hour drive from here.  Since I travel alone, and have a lot of back pain, I have to make it a two day drive, about 6 hours each day.  Fortunately, my younger son lives in Pittsburgh, on the other side of Pennsylvania, and is exactly half hour away from here.  So, I get a hotel room there, and visit with him for a few hours.

I am not sure when I will see my grandchildren next.  I am hoping to get out there near the end of summer, because I want to go swimming with them.   Of course, I just might be able to get a hotel with a pool, and having fun playing with them there.  My grandchildren love playing in the pool.

Enjoy your time in Australia.  Every minute I spend with my children and grandchildren is precious to me.

Hugs,
Trish

My Mother's family was from Melbourne, I was born in Brisbane in Sept 1945...No one but me has survived, and I live in Ottawa, Canada. Last year spent 6 weeks in OZ crisscossing the country and visiting areas never been to before including the Kimberleys, as well as Broome, and around Sydney ( stayed with life-long friend, daughter of friends of my parents and whom I have known since age 6) and also visited family grave and paid for the rehab of the family graves at Boroondara (Kew cemetery)  in Melbourne as my family has history going way back to 1800's, as well as connection to legendary  Ned Kelly through  family in Beechworth...( supposed to have helped make Ned Kelly gang's iron bullet proof vests )...Enjoy Melbourne, known as the Garden City of Australia.,,,

Hi Vrinda:

Welcome ... I have a cat, but she has been sick for awhile. She's starting to feel better. She has an allergy to something, plus she had fleas. But it is better now. We got rid of the fleas and the vet gave her a cortisone shot. So she's back to being my sweet kitty. Her name is Juliette. There is a nice young woman at the vet from India ... she carried the cat carrier with Juliette out to the car (because I use a cane ... I have bad arthritis in both knees and back). We had 105 degree temperatures that day, and she said she was used to the heat.

I had my surgery eight years ago and my knee replacement three years ago but haven't had good luck with the knee replacement. The other knee is going on me.

Never have been to India or Australia ... would like to see both. I love the stories of India and films.
