Manic Monday What's Up?
Good Morning Family,
Well, today will certainly be manic for me. I have to get to the district justice's office first things because a fine for not paying my parking ticket on time was due Friday, and I overslept and lost their paperwork. Argh. Samee for the police department with another parking fine. Then to a quick tag place, because I let my car registration run out on Tuesday. What a mess. And it's all my fault.
Then, I have my volunteer work. That's a break from the insanity. After that, I have to go to Barnes and Noble to get a book for Sean and me. It's called "Boundaries," by Cloud and Townsend. I'd read it decades ago, and need to reread it.

Good morning Trish and Carolyn and all my OFF sistas!
Lord, what a chaotic morning at my house this morning. Four dogs, a baby, and 2 daughters can surely wreck havoc on my peaceful morning routine! All I really want to do is get up, feed my deer and my birds, drink a Pro Joe and write my husband an email. I guess that's a bit too much to ask some mornings.
So yesterday we did go swimming at Landa Park and it was great fun. Benny was much more comfortable in the water yesterday and he had a great time "swimming" around on his own in the baby pool. He most definitely did NOT want us to touch him! LOL! He was Mr. Independent!
This morning my oldest girl has already headed back to Waco. Chris is getting ready to take Benny to storytime at the library. If I can just hold onto my sanity for another 20 minutes, it'll just be me and little Patty Kate for a couple of hours. I can hardly wait.
So I finally braved the scales this morning. I was scared to death of what I might see there. I have regained 3 lbs. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I figured I had regained about 5 lbs. Okay, so I know what I have to do. It's tough to stop that emotional eating and snacking. When people in my household start crying and carrying on, I start eating! But maybe I can talk myself down if I try. My problem is sweets, as always. When I get upset, I want a cookie!
We are getting Benny ready to start preschool. Classes don't start until Sept 5th, but I can't wait. I'm ready to have 2 days a week to call my own.
Well, I need to go. Chris and Benny just left. It's time for me to take a shower and get going on my day. Trish, good luck with your parking tickets. Carolyn, good luck with your lottery ticket! And good luck today to everyone else!

First of all "Thank You" all so much for the prayers for Pam and also for me. I can't imagine my life without all of you in it.
Trish....hope you get the ticket and registration straightened out. Try not to stress too much. Everything will work out. I have heard of that book but never read it. It is supposed to be really good.
Carolyn....hope you win the lottery!!!

Yesterday evening they discharged Pam from the hospital. Did I mention that when Pam changed jobs they messed up with her insurance so she has none!!! Nothing has changed with her condition except her double vision is worse. They said there isn't anymore they could do for her until the results from the spinal tap comes in. That will be a few days yet. I have another friend of ours with Pam today. I will be running over there later. At 2:00PM I need to take her mom, Alberta, to the Cancer Center for a scan. Her lung cancer is growing again and they think there may be other spots as well. Alberta is just not doing well at all. Losing lots of weight and other symptoms. The doctor said they can do more chemo if they think it will help but no more radiation. Alberta also has dementia really bad. Just what Pam needs right now, more stress!! Also, a week or so ago Pam's only sibling, her brother, had a third heart attack!
Please keep praying or whatever for Pam and her family! I am scared to death for Pam and her family!

Connie, your friend has a lot on her plate right now.I will say prayers for her & her family.
My Mother in law passed away last night. All 6 kids were with her until a few hours before she left us. She had a leg amputated about a month ago & it got infected. She was 81 & in so much pain. I have mixed feelings. The last 30 years or so we were close. Please say a prayer for her kids, that they find pease.

I am on my way back to denver tomorrow. My car is slowly getting packed between the rain drops. I decided to go early cause my friend Jo in Denver is not doing well and is in the hospital.
I am having surgery on August 20th. Waiting to hear from the Doctors office to seeif they will change the surgery to the hospital cause I want them to do it 23 hr obs instead of day surgery. The last time they did this surgery I ended up staying there 4 days.
