September Saturday What's New with You?
Hello all!
Just got back from a walk with one of my dogs. Saw a bunch of friends out today. It was so nice to see so many familiar faces and get caught up on how everyone is doing.
Way to go Trish! 9 lbs that's a lot, congrats!
Vickie please be careful and go to the ER if needed. Don't take any chances.
Michael's home this weekend! I've missed him terribly, he's still sleeping. Not sure if he knows how to go to bed and get some sleep. I think he's afraid he'll miss something on campus if he tries and goes to bed at a decent time. LOL! But he's young he can live on little or no sleep I guess.
Love it Judy that he has no idea the afghan is for him.
Have a great day,
Big Loves,
Debbie
Judy we had that same storm front go thru here too. Funny about Rick think it is for SIL.
Vickie what the others said, get a doc and get checked out. I bought a tree and 4 shrubes yesterday and DH helped me plant the tree and 2 shrubes. I hate having to have to have him help. I like doing it myself and take my time. I get short with him and it just isn't fair to him. I
I really went off on him tonight. I am so hungry without my band and I just can't stop eating. I forgot how bad it was pre WLS.
Vickie...here's a thought...I have also had a rare attack like that...thankfully it happened twice and havent had it again for several years..touch wood! *taps my head*.
My RNY sugeon removed my gall bladder during the RnY as I'd suffered many BAD gall bladder attacks. HOWEVER, I have been told that if the gall DUCT has not been removed along with the gall bladder, that crystals can still form in the ductwork and cause attacks and when I had my gall bladder attacks, I felt bad pain down my sternam and across the back.
So, just a head's up...never assume that because the gallbladder is removed, it doesn't mean that you cannot get gall bladder type attacks anymore..one more thing to check out.

I also had an attack of pancreatitis one time. It's also a very severe pain in the upper abdomen, but I distinctly remember what it felt like, and the attack on Friday was not the same.
I've never had a kidney stone, but several members of my family have, and I'm pretty sure it was not my kidneys that were hurting.
The only other things in the upper abdomen area, besides the stomach, are the diaphram and the liver. So I'm at a loss to explain what it was. However, like you, I have a pretty high pain tolerance, and I was in tears at one point on Friday, so whatever it was, it was REAL and it HURT.
I will get myself to a doctor next week and get it checked out. Thanks for helping!
