Hi Margaret! I just did the on sale perennials myself. I got a Service Current tree, 4 butterfly bushes, 3 ornimental and a bush I don't know the name of. Good deal. I have and area next to my house that was a swell hole. We filled it in and made a nice sloop/hill from the house. It needed plant to "make" it.

Just a quick hello today. I am headed out of town to a 'Turkey Roast" !! Friends and good times...I need that!!! I have been isolating a lot lately!! My friend is paying for gas so I can go...so sweet!!

Nice fall day here ... good football weather with 75 degrees, puffy white clouds, but I have to work. I still have that little headache on the left side of my head. It comes and goes. It was gone when I went to work, then it was back about 10 p.m. last night, gone for awhile then back and kept me up most of last night. Just can't get rid of it. It's here again and I wonder if it's sinus. Maybe I need to get some decongestants. I know my allergies bump up in the fall. I am taking allergy pills but not the decongestant kind.
Good to see some old friends returning. Cindi, my friends in Wisconsin, Rox and her family, kayak a lot. Her kids are very good ... especially my goddaughter. They do the Junior Olympic meets (the kids, that is) ... Rox and her DH help out. It's their summer vacation usually. Both kids are good, but her son is skinny and not as strong ... the daughter is more developed (although younger ... usually that's the way with girls). She did well in the JOs last summer, gained a lot of attention. She's just 11.
Anyway, not much happening. Watching the White Sox game, then off to the shower, then lunch. Having my second cup of coffee while I check things online. White Sox are still hanging on to first place, but barely.

Cool Fall day here, wasn't supposed to rain and it did: showers off an on, just as I was at friend's who invited me for BBQ chicken breasts for late lunch...Because of the rain showers , and getting fresh tomatoes and cukes from the garden between showers for the salad, it got to be 4.45 pm before we ate! I brought a bottle of nice red Australian merlot, and we just about drank it all before our lunch/dinner!! I also brought Hagen Daasz Vanilla and some fresh local late raspberries for desert and that was heavenly..These cooler days are so welcome after our hot summer but the rain better not bother us on week-ends!!!.

Late post here. Just wanted to read about everyone's day and say "hi!" We had a shopping expedition today, just Butch and me. It was fun. We went to the Outlet Mall and then out to eat, then to Half-Price Bookstore and finally to Tuesday Morning. Just wandering around, really, and spending money we prolly shouldn't have, but it was fun.
Got to say this: my clutter beats YOUR clutter! LOL! I've got BABY CLUTTER! It's the worst!
