September Sunday Hello
I am up early for a lot of reasons. Nothing serious, just annoyances are keeping me up. Got bit by a stupid mosquito, and it is itchy as crazy where he got me. I've been rubbing aloe on it to no avail. So, I took a Benadryl to try to get some relief. I did manage to kill the little blood sucker. I'm just concerned because West Nile mosquitoes were found in the next town over.
I am supposed to go to church this morning, BUT, my AA sponsor celebrated 23 years of sobriety last week, and she is speaking at a meeting this morning. Plus, my sponsee is going to that meeting. So, I want to introduce my sponsee to my sponsor.
Today is a busy sports day. Phillies this afternoon, at 1:30. Then the Eagles at 4:00. Bad thing is, I volunteered to do some phone work for my candidate at 4:00. So, I'm going to DVR the game, and when I get home, I'll watch from the beginning.
I hope you all are blessed beyond measure.
Hugs,
Trish

Morning Trish and OFF family to come yet today!
Sorry about that mosquito bite!!! I would be careful also!!! Yikes!!! You sure have alot going on!!! Wow!!
Well yesterday we went to Cedar Point for the company party...went on one ride...the miner's something or other...anyhow after that one we went to the Top Fuel Dragster one...OMG that thing goes 120 MPH in less than 4 seconds!! Ride is over in 17 seconds!!! Anyhow...standing in line moving right along getting close to our turn and they announce the ride is being closed down due to the weather! CRAP!!!!!! I am so disappointed!!! Never got to ride that ride and have the living hell scared out of me!!!!! We waited a couple hours and the rain never stopped. We were cold and wet and had enough. So we said our thankyou's to the owner of our company and left. He said there will be next year...lol I said I would hold him to that one!!! Now IF I can get the nerve up again to ride that ride!!! Other than that I really wasn't impressed with Cedar Point at all. Just not into rides I guess. Rick wanted a beer...stopped into one of the places that sold beer...ready for this one? $9 for a 22oz beer!!!!! OMG!! I told him he could get a 12 pack or more when we got home for that price!!!! We left no beer!!! LOL I bought myself a tshirt that says Cedar Point on it for $9.99 Its a deep purple color. Rick didn't want one. Just a beer...lol so I broke down and bought him one beer!!!
Nothing else happening here except we need to go to the grocery store for a few things is all so I need to get ready for that and then I need to do some laundry when I get back from that. NASCAR is on today will watch that also.
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!
HUGS
I know it's been a long time since I have posted. I try to read every day, but usually not til late in the evening.
So nice to hear from Nancy B. Glad she is busy again and sounding healthier (can you 'sound' healthy?).
Judy, I know your proceedure will take care of your little problem and you will be 'pre' no more.
Trish, I know your sponsee can benefit from your wisdom!
Me? Well, our grandson graduates from Navy Boot Camp on Friday. I won't be going. I was supposed to be in NY helping my Sis as she recovered from getting a new heart valve. They postponed it so many times, I would have gotten there and had to turn around to come home, since I go to Oregon on Oct. 3rd. So I didn't want to reserve a ticket to the graduation for me if I wasn't sure I could get there. He will only have overnight and then leaves for his 'A' school in Florida. I know he is gonna wanna spend as many minutes with his wife and baby as he can! Cori and the baby will be coming here to stay with our son and DIL the end of October until mid Nov when Donny gets out of A school. What a turnaround. Our son is actually excited!!
Our daughter and her hopefully soon to be ex have an agreement signed by both of them and it will FINALLY be going to the judge next week. He can decide it is all fair and square and sign off, or decide something needs to be changed. Hopefully he will decide if they are happy he should be too!!
I am struggling with my regain. I have stopped weighing myself. If I have a nice loss, my head goes into that 'it's OK to eat' mode. Is it because I am rewarding myself for the loss, or I am back to feeling I don't deserve to be thin, or I think if I am losing weight my cancer is back? How did my head get so srewed up again?? Even if my clothes get a little loose I will NOT weigh myself!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
I am so glad things have turned around with your son as far as the grandbaby goes !! Being a grandparent is a special gift indeed!! I am so happy for your grandson too. Sounds like he is doing well and really taking reponsibily for his wonderful little family.
I am glad you are working on your weigh and not worrying so much about that scale. YOU deserve to be thin!! YOU deserve everything you want. You are such a kind and caring person!! My head gets all screwed up too. I still think of myself as 200+ pounds....makes me mad!!
Love and hugs....connie d
Today is our last day on the Mt. I have loved this little vacation and we went ahead and booked the same cabin for next year. Our cabin had a huge deck that overlooked the valley below and when I say the view was breath taking would be an understatement. On the deck was our hot tub and we spent the evenings and mornings relaxing in the wonderful heated water. Last night, my sisters and their hubbies and me and my hubby fried shrimp, catfish, and hushpuppies. Of course we all made our own little sides and we sat outside the cabin DH and I had and ate our food and enjoyed the view. We had cabin 8, which is centrally located between the other three sisters' cabins so we met at our cabin for group food etc.
I dread leaving. Last night, we had a huge reception hall that we rented and all our kids and kid's kids got together and had a huge catered meal brought to us and we visited. This sure beats the hell out of having our sister get together at one or another's house and having to worry about where are kids and grandkids will sit and you know. So this worked out really well.
While we were there, my sisters and I hiked the most difficult trail and sat under a water fall that was so cool that I didn't want to leave. We rented bikes and did the bike around the hills and that was fun. Yesterday morning, my younger sister and her hubby and I went on a six mile horse riding thing. I have to tell you all that I hate horses and the only reason I went was the trail the horses take is off limits to hikers on bike or walking, and I wanted to see the Eagle nests and the trout stream.
ARGH. So, I'll be heading back to my real life and hopefully can wait another year before I get a weekend there again. Although, we do go up there and eat a couple of times a year. The lodge has a fantastic restaraunt.
Well, I hope you all have a good rest of the day. Tomorrow is back to the grindstone
Happy Sunday to all1
Had my husbands family over last night to celebrate his birthday! Had a great time. I made stuffed mushrooms with crab, roasted vegetables, spinach and berry salad with a fat free curry dressing and filet mignon. Then of course a birthday cake. Food was wonderful I was really good, proud of myself. I only had 2 bites of Steve's cake. He has a great family and I love them very much.
Steve is driving to Seattle today, it's an 11 hour drive he had to much stuff to take for the show he's doing and couldn't fly. He is a manufacturing rep for high end logo merchandise.
Well I'm taking it easy today. Hope you all have a great day.
Thoughts and prayers for all,
Debbie
