Tuesday, another chilly day here!

Hello, everyone!

I was so busy Monday…all weekend, I’d worked on my paper mache cat to use as a visual aid for my workshop that I am presenting on Tuesday for sorority-it’s my turn to do a programme- and for my BPW dinner meeting ladies on Thursday- my scheduled speaker cancelled and I was the back-up plan. So I’m all ready except for two things:  I have to visit STAPLES  and get 40 copies printed of my 6 page booklet for hand-outs, have them all collated and stapled then get to sorority and do the programme.  I have 40 sheets of paper for the ladies to draw and write on, I have a substitute cat and lots of wax crayons for the ladies to use.

I went out this afternoon for a 4 o’clock appointment to get my eyebrow and eyeliner tattooing refreshed (the first application fades and then you can see exactly where my eyebrows have fallen out from my cancer meds. Eyebrows look scary dark right now but within four-five days, the dark colour will flake off and beautiful perfect taupe eyebrows will be revealed.  Until  then, I cannot rub or scratch my brows and must smear TATTOO GOO on them several times a day- prevents infection and sets the colour.

Got home and served dinner…chicken breasts simmered in the crockpot all day with my home made chilli sauce and corn on the cob from Derek’s garden and tossed salads. We (Derek & Kathy and us) share our garden produce, watering and plantings and other things we make.  Since Kathy worked second shift at the country club and is now back working for the Coast Guard, I froze a lot of their tomatoes for them, made tomato juice and chilli sauce for them too. Today I sent over two loaves of spicy homemade “Dutch Bread”,  with raisins and walnuts.

And now I am looking for my CAR KEYS! They are NOT in their usual place where I ALWAYS put them.I send loving healing energy and prayers to those who want it. So good to see familiar faces and new ones...Vickie, make sure you relax a while after having surgery, Connie, so happy that you enjoyed the wedding and family, Trish, you have so much on your plate...stay strong, Carla, welcome home- happy that your friend's family have surrounded her as they now have, Laureen, it's so good to see you back here *s*, SandraKay, welcome to OFF - I apologize for being so tardy in welcoming, Karen...your special home sounds so amazing ..savour that lovely nature and sunshine. *s*  Special hugs to Nan Horton and Aime B facing difficut challenges. I see my Oncologist on Friday.

This is my rambling on facebook early this morning:

The GOOD news is that I worked all weekend on my paper mache cat, a visual aid for a workshop I am presenting at Sorority on Tuesday, and for BPW on Thursday

The BAD news is that my paper mache cat is still soaking wet and darned UGLY!!!

The GOOD news is that I have a paper mache cat that Mom once made (particularly funny since Mom never liked CATS!

The BAD news is that her cat is far too “tame” for my needs and it’s too late to fabricate another cat.

The GOOD news is that it WILL be ready for my November Workshop.

The BAD news is that Oreo has taken a curiousity to the ugly cat that I made.

The GOOD news is that the soggy wet paper mache cat held the kitchen table cloth in place while Oreo climbed up to check it out.

The BAD news is my expensive linen damask tablecloth has been damaged by “Oreo claws” as he climbed.

The GOOD news is that Oreo is still here today despite his naughtiness.

The BAD news is that he knows just how to charm his way out of trouble.

The GOOD news is that Oreo made us laugh!

The BAD news is…oh hell’s bells, I LOVE the furry little devil!

And now, I cannot find my CAR KEYS…OREO!!!!!!!!

Ah well,

Nancy B

Nancy B and OFF-

Nancy - I giggled while reading your facebook post.  I have Sylvester and he follows me everywhere checking on what I am doing at all times.  I can imagine him helping me make a paper mache cat!  I can also relate about the car keys as I spent nearly 1.5 hours last night looking for the TV clicker.  After tearing everything apart I finally dug deep in the lazy boy and found the darn thing.

Cold here in Maine this morning.  Moose season started yesterday and I saw two headed to the meat cutter.  There is a cow with calf roaming in the neighborhood, I hope she makes it.  My neighbor report encounters with a bull moose on the road.  I have not had that privilege as I haven't walked the road lately.

I'm in shutdown checklist mode at the moment.  Today I host the knitting ladies and do a demonstration on felting.  Fortunately the washing machine is in the small cabin so they don't have to come into the disaster area that is my big cabin.  Once we're done with knitting I can shutdown the small cabin and only use it for laundry.  The kayak that I bought two weeks ago will go into the little cabin for the winter.

So I have to get off my butt and get moving to prepare for the ladies.

Positive thoughts going out to all of you!

Good Morning Nancy and OFF,
Nancy, I love your posts, and get so much strength from reading them.  Your ability to write so humorously about Oreo on Facebook just makes me smile.  I had cats for many, many years, and remember them well.  My allergies just make such a thing impossible.  Speaking of Facebook, I am on there as Patricia Anne Reilly.  Would love to Friend you.

I was so sick last night from my sinuses, I overslept this morning.  A sweet AA friend called at 7:00 this morning looking for a ride to the AA meeting and I was too tired to take her call.  I muted the phone and rolled over and fell back asleep.  I didn't wake up till 8:30.  Poor dear.  She doesn't have a car yet, and is dirt poor.  I called her later and left her a message apologizing and explaining I'm sick.  This infection just has me wiped out.

I'm heading to my volunteer job this afternoon.  Part of me wants to call out sick, but it is always low key, and I get to take care of a lot of personal business.

I'm praying for and thinking of everyone with needs.

Love and hugs,
Trish

Good mornin' ya'll.
Just a quick fly by.
Yesterday after work (not mine), my DIL went to a friend of her's and got some bushes. She is putting in a patio and getting rid of all of her plants. So this morning I planted all the ones I took.
Now I am waiting to stop sweating so I can take my shower and head to my oncologist appt. I really like Dr. A, but I wish I didn't have to see her every six months. Oh well. She always asks me if I'm in pain. I don't think she means back pain from gardening!
I am very frustrated! My sister's DH says she is very disoriented. They want her up moving, but her bad hip makes her not want to. I think her ins is pushing to just send her home and NOT to a rehab place. Our aunt will go up to be with her, but if she isn't in a rehab place NO ONE is gonna force her to get moving! Cell phones don't work in the hosp and she doesn't want to or can't talk on the room phone. Grrrrrrr! I should have gone up.
Well, my quick fly by stretched a little. Gotta run.
Have a fantabulous day!

Good Morning Nancy and OFF Family,
Nancy, you brought a big smile to my face talking about your cat! My mother was a cat person and I remember how much joy they brought to her life.

Hoping prayers are answered for all those in need of healing.

Still recovering from a long fun-filled weekend. Harley, 12 yr old grandson, played in his first middle school football game and they won!! He was so proud of himself and his Granny was bursting with pride.
Saturday I was off to my son's new house in New Braunfels. They are closing this Friday and moving in on Saturday. Ernie and Mandy are so excited to be out of their 80 year old farm house into a sparkling new home - no drips, drafts or moaning!
Saturday evening went to my cousin's 50th anniversary of the priesthood. So touching and what a great party his parish gave. Sunday after church spent the rest day with my grandaughter, Olivia, and her boyfriend Joe. They are so much fun and we know how grandkids keep us young. So blessed to have all my kids and grandkids right here in San Antonio area. with me!!!!!

So today will be billing paying and getting the oil changed in my car. Must keep off my knee as much as possible. Trying to delay having knee replacement surgery.

Hoping everyone has a great blessed day!

You make me laugh Nancy. These furry monsters seem to worm their way into our hearts. Even when they are devils.

Annie Cat And Mouse Tailwas the resident devil until Dog 21 Jerry  came to live with us. Annie still gets into trouble but Jerry has her beat by a mile.

He loves squeaky toys and will sit and squeak them for a long time. Then he tears them apart and eats the squeaker, stuffing too unless I catch him quickly.

My clothes are not safe. Annie opens my drawers, shoves the clothes on the floor, Jerry takes them to the living room and shreds them. That is the only time they interact nicely.

He and Annie have had a war going from the time he was a tiny mite. He's up to 24 pounds now and hasn't figured out her claws draw blood!!  She hasn't figured out HE is MUCH bigger.

Speaking of Jerry --- it is time to get him from the Vet. He was neutered this morning. Now we'll see if he calms down. Not a chance.Hysterical

Kisses to all
