Wednesday Morning in Pennsylvania
Good Morning OFF,
Talk about monkey wrenches? Got a call from my landlady last night that she and landlord have to come down and get into my apartment this evening to check the heater in the basement. Argh!!! MY apartment looks like a tornado went through. I have appointments all morning and I had to cancel my afternoon volunteer work. Needless to say, I am ticked at myself for letting it get this bad.
Had a good visit with my ex's parents last night. Had to drop off a political yard sign, and catch up with them. They've always treated me well, inspite of the divorce.
Today I'll be busy. Have to go to the lab and get bloodwork done. Then, across the hall to the doctor's to await the results. Then, to my ENT for a follow-up on constant infections and the surgery in June.
Afternoon, cleaning.

Good Morning Trish and everyone.....
Trish....don't you just love surprise visits? I am a perfectionist so I don't have the clutter problem but I hate it anyway! Do the best you can and don't worry about it.
I got Gracie off to school this morning. After I am done posting on here I need to start some laundry. Only a couple loads to do but I like to keep it caught up. I also need to run to the grocery store for a couple items. Exciting huh?? I love this little break away from home!

They did, but it is an emergency of sorts. The upstairs tenant's heater isn't working, and my apartment is the only way to get to the basement to see if the pilot light is lit.
I have a really good relationship with them. One month, I had to be a week late with the rent, and let them know, while asking what the late fee was, and they waived the late fee because I'm such a good tenant.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:
Last day before surgery ... lots to do and no energy. I slept til 11 because I had problems getting to sleep. I'd nod off and wake up and then try again. Watched a couple of shows I had recorded. Couldn't decide whether to get out of bed or not. Little aches and pains ... knee, head, tooth. I just get one tooth fixed, now another one bothers me. It's a ***** getting old.
Spent a while today dealing with the short-term disability folks and worrying if I'll get a check ... they said it goes to review for 10 days starting today. Not making me happy. Will I get a check or not? Stay tuned.
I have stuff I should be doing but I have no energy. Just want to sleep. Not much planned for today, but I do have to take out the trash and then maybe I'll pick up something for dinner.

While you are in the hospital, ask to speak to a social worker and she can find out for you about your short term disability and help you apply for SSI, food stamps, and medicaid should you not gert your short term disability. If you get SSI, then, if you want to stay on disability, after a few months, you can begin applying for SS. Plus, she can help you get your medicines paid for by drug companies. My friend who had her hip replaced did not get short term disability, so while I was visiiting, I asked to speak to the social worker and the woman came in to the room and I explained for my friend what was happening and she went to work and got everything set up.
Anyway, I gotta run.
