Good morning Vicki
I read your post yesterday about your daughter and her friends basing their vote on the way Obama and Romney look  -  actually it's not so out of the realm of thinking for people to decide their vote on something other than track record, etc.
I teach sociology and come across statistics for all kinds of issues/topics including how one determines the direction in which to cast her/his vote.  For example, people vote by race, gender, and age, which are not particularly good ways in which to pick the president of anything.  We also vote based on the party our parents voted for, the party our spouse votes for, what our pastor/priest suggests, name recognition, charisma and so on.
So I doubt that most folks sit down, read all of the nonbiased info. they can and make an informed, independent decision even though we would like to think so.  Your daughter and her friends probably fit in more with the manner in which most people vote than you would imagine.

Definately we'll get together.  I'm not adverse to coming to the Hill Country to visit with you.  Not even thinking about knee surgery at this point as I'm working the shutdown list.

Hi Jo and my OFF family:

It's a beautiful fall day in Evansville, but we are supposed to get rain later today, right about the time for football Friday night. No worries for me, I'll be inside, watching baseball wild-card playoffs. One-game, winner goes on, loser goes home. Should be exciting.

I got my delivery from the local grocery store (well, regional supermarket, actually) Schnucks today. Nice service; Now that I know it's there, I'd use it again. My shower chair was delivered yesterday, so I was able to take a shower today ... haven't washed my hair in a week, since the day of surgery. Worked out OK. So now I have food and my shower; I feel better. My legs still feel like watermelons.

A former OFFer and now FB friend, Michelle, has offered to come down for a couple of days to help me  out. So sweet of her. I've always said I love my OFF sisters.

Well, not much else happening. Have a good day.

Afternoon OFF family!!!

Well I see OH is messing with the board again????

Well the interview went VERY good this morning!!! We are starting him out come monday morning to see how well he can do and how fast of a worker he is. Randy is after Rick left and right asking him whats going on!! Rick is bluffing him...LOL told him he was a salesman here to give prices on the rehab unit...LMAO then again this afternoon Randy questioned Rick what is happening...Rick told him he was going home sick and left...five to 3 Ricks phone rang...it was Randy wanting to know if he could leave at 3. Rick told him no to start cleaning up at 3:30. I was over right there in the club house across from the apartment he was working in and saw him leave BEFORE 3:30!!!!!!!! I came home told Rick he left BEFORE 3:30!!!!!!!! So guess who is changing his time sheet? ME!!!!!!!! So sick of this man cheating his hours and thinking he is getting away with it!!!!!!!!! Caught him on several occasions!!! GRRRRRRRR So can't wait til monday and all hell breaks out when we keep Randy away from Andrew!!! LOL Boss told me to have Rick just sit and watch if he has to just to keep Randy AWAY from him!!!!!!!!! She doesn't want him talking to him at all!!!!!!!!!!! OK. :-)  So I am in the clubhouse trying to decorate for tomorrows Chili cookoff and one of the tenants is sitting in there reading his mail. He says to me he heard Randy is getting fired. I asked where he heard that. He said around here...I said people need other things to talk about besides Randy and us!!! Left it at that...LOL

Well that is about it for me today...been busy as all get out!!! Making my chili for tomorrow and need to wrap door prizes. Had them for Halloween party but I canceled that due to my surgery coming up on the 1st. So best get going...Rick doesn't feel good so trying to get him feeling better also....;-)

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!

HUGS

Gapped afternoon all! Sounds like you all have such busy lives. 😊

I haven't done ANYTHING today! Woke up feeling very queasy and just not very well all over, so I went back to bed. Feel better now.

I had big plans...a very special friend of our family is getting married next weekend and I'm one of her photographers. I haven't done any photography work for over a year so I had planned to San the Internet all day looking at poses and brushing up in general. I have the rest of the weekend though! I'm just excited to work again!

As for this evening my awesome husband and I will be watching our beloved Texas Rangers try to get back on track for a 3rd trip to the World Series.

Go Rangers!

Have a great weekend!
Chris

 Hi Jo,
I had an insanely crazy day, topped off by a torturous headache.  Right now the morning is almost a blur.  I had physical therapy, then ran some errands.  After putting dinner in the crock-pot, I went to do my volunteer work at the agency.

This evening I paid my electric bill at Walmart, because I got a shut-off notice for Monday.  I have to call them first thing Monday morning to make sure they don't shut it off.  The money is supposed to go straight to the electric company the next business day.  I didn't have the money to pay it till today.

I could use some advice, and wonder if anyone has any suggestions.  I'm taking Mom to Michigan to meet the baby.  She hasn't seen him yet.  There are two possible conflicts that can come up with her staying at my daughter's with me.  First, Mom can be extremely outspoken about politics.  Her political views clash with a lot of my daughter and son-in-law's.  The second conflict would be over how they correct the children.  They sometimes have to give a span.  Not a beating, but one spank on the bottom, or a time out in their rooms.  They always take the child up on their lap, and remind them that they love them, and why they had to correct them.  Mom has interfered with them in the past about this.  I've tried to get her to butt out, because it is not her business, but she feels entitled to stick her nose where she wants whenever she feels like it.

I'll be speaking to my therapist about this on Saturday, but could sure use some advice from Grandmas and Great-Grandmas.

Hugs,
Trish
