Tuesday Happenings

Good Morning Family,

I hope everyone is being blessed today.  I am, though my faith is so weak sometimes.  

I've completed a budget for living in Michigan, and can definitely afford to live there.  Problem, I need the settlement offer by Friday in order to give 30 days notice to my landlord.  That is where my faith is weak, believing I'll get the answer, and that it will be enough to make the move, in time to give my landlord notice.  

Today, I have more organizing to do in my bedroom today.  I'm also going to make my AA meeting.  Nothing exciting.  

Weather report was that we could get snow or rain today.  We got rain.  I'd prefer a little snow,

Aloha Trish and all my OFF friends......

It's 4:00 a.m. in Hawaii and I woke up feeling refreshed and wide awake. Not a good thing!! LOL My two kitties, Poki and Nicki, thought it was morning and time for FOOD! I had two warm little bodies on both sides of my face purring and tapping my nose......Ha. I gave in and fed them!

I am a terrible daily corresponder, but this little family always is close to my heart because you got me through years of ups and downs of weight loss, regain, etc. I always admire and appreciate your shares and feel thankful that we have this little family. I, too, am deeply sorry for Aime's death from cancer. I did not know her, but I sure remember her being here and an active part of sharing her life's experience.

Thanksgiving was quietly delightful. I didn't go to the mainland to see my kids and grands......it's just too crazy at the holidays so I go at other times, but I had a wonderful day with friends. We did a potluck and I brought pumpkin pie and a huge veggie/dip tray. Our get together was right next door so I didn't have to drive,.....yeah!!

My job as hearing screener for newborns continues to give me joy and life-affirming pleasure. Yesterday morning I had a 4.6 lb. baby who passed his hearing and was a beautiful, darling little guy! Made my day!

OK...time to go back to bed! I feel thankful and blessed to have this little tight group to share with (in the middle of the night!!).

Good morning Trish and Karen and all my OFF sistas to come!

Brrrr!  It got down to 38 last night.  I actually had to kick the heater on this morning to warm the house up before the baby woke up. 

Oh, my, I am struggling with the checkbook and all our money issues this week.  Why is it so expensive to move?  Ugh.  Moving boxes, storage buildings, hotel rooms, gasoline!  Sure did play havoc with my November budget. C'mon payday!  LOL!

Benny continues to play "twee", but yesterday's game was to be as destructive as possible.  Oh, he's such a little boy.  All he wanted to do yesterday afternoon was RIP the ornaments to pieces!  LOL!  It's a good thing we didn't put any glass balls on that tree!

I'm pretty proud of myself today, although pride goeth before a fall and I sure know it!  Still, my daughter made TWO pans of FUDGE yesterday morning.  She said she was going to take them to work, but then she left them here!  OMG.  Y'all know that chocolate is like crack cocaine to me.  But I managed not to even go near it yesterday.  I know if I ever put a piece in my mouth, I am sunk, sunk, sunk.  Hell, I can't even get close enough to SMELL it.  I'll go beserk.

Afternoon OFF family!!!

Well we had a dusting of snow this morning when I got up...its 31* right now and yes the sun is out...BRRRRR!

Found the eviction letter in the street in front of the sidewalk I gave to the guy across the street yesterday. Second time he has done this now. I am sure his dad knows nothing about this...not sure how much longer before the sheriff is called to remove him from his filthy apartment and him not paying his rent! Police were there sunday morning after he kept one of his neighbors up all night. Ofcourse he would not open the door to the police!!! Just waiting for him to threaten me again and I will call the police on him!!! He told me once before he isn't afraid of them at all!!! He thinks because he is "slow" he won't get in trouble. We shall see. (no wonder I have a headache) Another tenant that has/had a BIG dog and a couple guys here also got a letter...see she packed them up and left last night...haha another lady got a letter also for disturbance and we have been avoiding her big time...she will sit here and cry that she isn't doing it when we KNOW she IS!!!! (again no wonder I have a headache)

One of the tenant brought her grandson over to see the Christmas tree all decorated up and his eyes got so big....lol I mentioned going to the fairgrounds to see the lights...$6 for a car load...be worth it to see him excited!!! Might do it if Carol will do the driving!! I will pay if she drives...take the tenant that can't drive and her grandson...Merry Christmas!!!

Well Bandit needs to go out...lunch is about over anyhow.

I am in a hurry this morning. I need to get ready as I have to take Pam to two appointments. Today is also her birthday. Thanks to all that wished her Happy Birthday on Facebook. You are the greatest!!

I couldn't sleep last night. I was so restless. I was up until 6AM then I slept until 10AM. I was in so much pain and couldn't take anything because then I couldn't drive this morning. It will be a long day!

Good Morning OFF Family,

Not much time to post last few days.  Youngest grandson has been sick with flu like symptoms for several days.  Doctor tested for flu and it came back negative.  Hopefully, he will go back to school tomorrow.  Older brother fell last night and "twisted his ankle".  After visit to ER this morning found he has fracture a bone in his foot.  He's in a walking cast and will go back to school tomorrow.  Needless to say, Granny has the boys and now they are wanting lunch.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

My headache is gone but it took all day yesterday ... think it was just a bad fibro flare. It was raining on and off all day yesterday, which usually does it for me. I also had bad night sweats last night and that kept me awake ... didn't sleep quite as well as I thought I would. Finally got an icepack out of the freezer and slept with that on me. Don't know what was going on.

My apartment is mostly packed ... just a few things that aren't done that I have to finish up. Movers will come Saturday (a young man  my cleaning lady/helper recommended). I'm meeting with the landlord Thursday. So busy, busy, busy!

I had PT this morning and the therapist worked me over. My knee was really bothering me when I got home. I've been sitting here with ice on it after taking a pain pill, which has really made me loopy. Need a nap.

Anyway, not much else happening. Just wanted to say hi. Have a good day.
