Happy Wednesday!
Good morning Vickie and everyone.....
Vickie....Benny's room will be so cute!! I hope Chris realizes all you do for her and appreciates it. You are a wonderful mom and grandmother!!
I slept in this morning. I went to bed at 9PM. I slept a couple hours and then woke up again and couldn't fall back asleep. I got up and cleaned the house from midnite until 2:30AM. It should have been done last week but I was too busy with everything going on with Pam's mom and such. My sister knew what was going on but didn't get out of her chair to help at all. Not even to do the dishes. I was always doing them at night when I was able to get here. I vacuumed this morning. I hurt so bad from carrying the lift chair up 14 steps. You would think she could have done some simple little thing...NOPE! I need to get my laundry done sometime today too. I am leaving for Iowa either Friday or Saturday. Remember I will be taking Nic to St Jude in Memphis. Our plane leaves about noon on Sunday. his test are the 7th, 8th, and 9th. I pray all goes well for Nic and no more hot spots are found!! I feel bad that I won't be able to attend Pam's mom's funeral on Saturday. It would be a 4 hour drive there and Pam wants me with Nic instead. She said I was there with her when it really counted. I still feel bad about it. Pam's Aunts all agree that I should be with Nic. I really can't be in both places at once.
Wishing you all a great day!!! Prayers for many in need!!
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Thank you Annette!!
Yes, my sister is sucking the life out of me. She feels I need to do these things because I live in her house. I pay a minimal amount of rent. I am definately looking for a new place to live again after I return from my trip with Nic. A couple other people are looking into places for me as well. I can get a homemaker because of my illnesses. However, I can't get one while I live here. That leaves me being the homemaker here!!
Thanks again for caring...love you!!
HUGS.....connie d
Connie,
Praying Nic has great test results. You need to be with Nic -- for him & you. Pam understands.
You need to take care of yourself. I know what a caring person you are to all those in your life. Just know you won't be there for them if you don't take care of yourself first. We all need your encouraging words, so please be good to yourself. We are all concerned about your health.
Hugs and prayers, Sandra
Connie, I have to agree with everyone else. You need to take care of YOU first for awhile. I think you are doing right to go with Nic. Pam is an adult, and as sad as it is to lose a parent, it is the natural order of things. Nic still needs lots of support, even though he is a young man now. I'm sure he appreciates you going with him.
I'm so concerned about your pain levels! I wish there was something to be done for you. And your sister is just plain toxic. I'm sure you love her, but living with her is not good for you. Wish I could be there to help out.
Love you!
Hello OFF family!!
Vickie what time is dinner?? We'll all be right over!
Trish keep moving and I hope you heal quickly.
Judy, wow you have a lot going on!! Hopefully this is the last of bad news for the New Year.
Have company coming on Friday to stay the night. They are staying in Krissy's bedroom...omg it's a mess and we have a lot of cleaning to do!
Had 2 bouts with the wrong foods...2 weeks ago I ate a maple old fashion donut and boy I went white as a ghost and did not feel good till it put me in the bathroom. Then 2 nights ago my mother in law brought over some veggies and curry dip and I ate 3 small celery sticks and wow it was so painful I couldn't stand up. So now I no leave the sugar alone and no celery raw. Trying to eat lots of protein and it also helps with my weight loss. My new favorite food is Dannon Light and Fit Blueberry yogurt 7 grams sugar, 12 grams protein and 80 calories, the strawberry only has 6 grams sugar. Have a great day,
Thoughts and prayers for all,
Debbie
Hi Debbie! Yes, it is time for us all to renew our commitment, isn't it? I haven't tried a donut since WLS, but I sure did a number on myself eating desserts this Christmas. I didn't do that last Christmas. I don't know why I thought it was okay for me to do so this time. I don't have a problem with raw veggies or fruits. In fact, I haven't found much of anything that I can't handle except for mayonnaise. I can't eat any commercially prepared tuna or chicken salad. Don't know why, but my body rejects it everytime.
Good luck cleaning up for your company. I just got rid of all my company and I'm letting the house slide for a few days. Whew!
Vickie and OFF friends,
Started the day at the gym at 5 AM, my trainer did not show up but I went ahead and worked out. Meeting with trainer twice a week and new year goal was to add two more days. I hate everything about exercise, but have committed myself to getting healthy. Just discovered that I can easily eat 5 oz of food at a sitting so have to measure everything and rev up metabolism.
vickie, how old is Benny? My grandson is turning 4 in a couple of weeks. He is the light of my life.
Patricia, good luck on your recovery.
Judy, so sorry about your wood floor. We had a flood from a burst pipe a couple of years ago and needed our floors redone.
Hope everyone has a good day.
