Saturday Morning and UpEarly
Karen...you make me laugh!! I am sure you look very tiny too!
Now when I was a juniors size zero I was definitely too thin.Skin and lots of bones!! I didn't even like me then. The largest pants I ever wore was a 14-16. I have a very little butt and very thin legs. I am only barely 5'4" tall. My weight was always from the waist up!! I really need to work on that tummy area now. My doctor said not to do anything too much yet as I am so weak and tire easily. In a week or so I am going to go on a liquid diet for a couple weeks. Then back to basics. I WILL DO THIS!!! Remember I was 242 pounds when I had WLS....I felt like a WEEBLE!!!! I also need to get back into a walking routine. I love to walk!!
Love you more my wonderful friend...hugs....connie d
Today I had a mother of a baby I was testing who weighed at least 400 lbs.!! She was beautiful AND she was HUGE!! Her baby was large, too.....9lbs. 11 ozs. I felt very sorry for her situation........having to care for this little cutie pie and still weighing so much that it was difficult for her to get out of the hospital bed without help. I wanted to mention WLS but of course did not.
It is late afternoon and I'm watching a mama and baby humpback whale frolicking out front. Laughing at baby who tries to breach but mostly just wiggles and flops back into the water!! Mama stands by giving support but letting baby try to learn how to breach gracefully....LOL
Hope you all have a good weekend. I'll be at the hospital tomorrow and Monday......giving smooches to my newborns.
Aloha nui loa,

Thanks for the warm reception. One question: what does OFF stand for?? I have lots of ideas but would like to know the REAL one.

"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity and fear but a spirit of power and love and self discipline." 2 Tim. 1:7 So with HIS power, love and self-discipline - I WILL DO THIS!

Good evening, all my wonderful OFF sistas!
I'm late to the party today, but I have a great excuse. My house is torn up from one end to the other!!! I know I did this to myself, and I know I'm going to love having my new floor, but right now, this is the pits! It will take me a solid week to get this house put back together, and that's IF they ever finish the job. They did work today, but of course, they won't work tomorrow on Sunday, so we're still in limbo until Monday. I just hope they fini**** up by then.
Chris and I left early this morning with Benny and went out for breakfast and then to the Outlet Mall. May I just say that spending the day out of the house with a terrible two year old is--well--terrible!!! OMG! Both Chris and I were strung out like live wires by the time we came home. Thank God we can just stay home tomorrow and then on Monday, Benny has pre-school.
Anyway, I didn't buy much for myself, but I did pick up 3 new tops at the Gap Outlet. Okay, I know that sizes are just a number, but geez Louise! I bought two 3/4 sleeve button up blouses there and I had to buy the XXL! Really! Neither the L or the XL would button across the bust, and I am NOT what they call generously endowed either! I'm trying hard not to let it do a number on my head, since I've actually lost 3 lbs this week. "It's only a number, it's only a number, it's only a number . . . !"
I did forget to mention earlier this week that I have finally bit the bullet and I'm starting to have my rings resized. I started with my 3 stone anniversary ring. It was a size 8 and the jeweler cut it down to a 6 3/4. My wedding ring is a 6 1/2 and how I ever managed to keep it on during all my weight gain I will never know. I do know I didn't take it off at all for several years because it was stuck! LOL! I'm going to take in 1 ring a month until I get them all sized down.
Oh, and for those who might remember, tonight was supposed to be our big date night? Wrong. I'm still sick. Damn it all. I've had a slight relapse. Sound like a croaking bullfrog and feel like a whipped pup. Came home this afternoon and promptly crashed into bed and I'm still there. I just can't seem to shake this damn cold or virus or whatever it is.
Well, I was glad to get my computer hooked up and read all about everyone's day today. Got to have my OFF fix daily! LOL! Colleen, welcome to our group! Glad to have you join us. We are a wild, wacky and witty group of gals--ha! Sometimes we are even a wee bitty bit wise, so do join in and talk with us on the daily thread. Ask questions, offer advice, spout off on just about anything. We'll chat about just about anything.
Love you all!
