Rainy Saturday--what's up?
Good morning my OFF sistas!
Woke up to WET STUFF falling from the sky. Gee, I don't quite remember, but I think it is RAIN! LOL! We really need it. We are still in drought conditions here in Texas.
Our next door neighbors have come in for the weekend. Both of the houses on either side of us are vacation/weekend homes, so we rarely have neighbors in residence. As a result we get pretty lax about wandering around outside in our pjs in the morning. I often sit on the front deck in my jammies and enjoy the early morning view of the lake. We'll all have to get decent around here for the next couple of days.
I got the last of the windows all cleaned up and prepped for hanging blinds today. Got the window sills painted, etc. I'll be glad to get to the end of that chore. I hope to start sewing my new curtains after we get Butch home from the hospital next week. The fabric is so pretty. I'm dying to get my hands on it!
I need to continue painting baseboards today. I told Butch we're probably going to have to hire someone to paint the rest of these walls. I just don't think my shoulder will stand it. I thought I might could do it, if I did just a little at a time, but the cumulative effect on my shoulder is not good. I really am going to have to go to the doctor about it this spring and see what's wrong with it.
My little Roomba should be all charged up and ready to roll this morning. I'm excited to try it out! I'll let you all know how well it works.
Spring Break is here and there will be a huge influx of college kids here this week. New Braunfels is a party town. Lots of people will brave the frigid water to float the river in tubes. Crazy kids, but I used to be one of them!
So, hoping everyone is well and looking forward to a nice weekend. I'm worried about Judy. Haven't heard from her here or on FB in a few days. Hope her wrist is okay. Connie, I hope you feel better today. Mikka, keep posting and let us hear how you're doing today. Eileen, I hope you're enjoying your day off today. Cindi, how were the mudbugs? Ruby, hope you post again today. I'm sure there are others I meant to mention, but can't think of right now. CRS disease!

Goooood Morning! It is a beautiful day here in WV, the sun is shining and the temp is supposed to get up to close to 60 today! We are getting ready to head out for our first WLS seminar and I'm armmed with LOTS of questions so we will see how it goes. Wish us luck I'll let you know how it goes. Have a great day!!

Today we are finally going to Akron to see Rick's aunt and uncle. Guess who found out we were going? His mother!! So she is now planning on meeting us there...she called me yesterday asking if we would be there about 5pm...NO we would be home by then. Oh she said. Well she had things to do and would WE change our time so she could see us there? Umm NO. I wanted to be back home so I could see a movie on tv tonight that I am dying to see. Oh she said again. So she called Rick asked him the SAME thing!!!!!!!! He told he HELL NO!!!!!!!!! LOL!!! Gotta love that man!!! And I do!!!!! So we are getting ready to go for a ride to see his relation today. First he is going to wash my car make it pretty. Yeah make a WHITE car pretty...lol. Still not sure why I bought that dam car!!!
Had BINGO for the tenants yesterday and had more this time show up than last month and made more money also for the tenant fund!! Had a great time also!!! Now the next event we have is EASTER dinner on the 27th. I am planning a BBQ for summer on THIS side as the grill is on THIS side and I want it to ROCK!!!!!!!!!! LOL We had BBQ's last year on both sides and this side being the smaller of the two had MORE show up!!! So this side wins hands down!!!!!! Hopefully it will be a good time for all!!! Not sure yet what we will have but with the fund growing like it is we can have more meats to choose from!! :-)
As for my wrist...I still think it is MORE than arthritis!!! I move it wrong amd OMG that pain!!! Now I am not sure how this arthritis works/feels but does it pain like that?? Not hurt and then move it wrong and then pain?????????
Bought my vitamins the dr wanted me to take and yes I AM taking them everyday like I am told to do...:-)
Had another tenant move out due to going to hospital ICU for cancer. He is not doing well at all. Not expected to live much longer I guess. Stage 4 in his lungs. Another one is also moving out because of dementia and she is going to nursing home. Now we have 9 empty. But the good thing is its spring almost and taxes are coming back so people are moving!!! So pray that they will come here and like what we have to offer. Hard to rent one bedroom though as many and I do mean MANY want 2-3 bedrooms and we don't have any available.
Well Rick is ready to go wash the car and I am going with him so best say ta-ta for now or is it TTFN LOL

Have not taken time to read all the post but will later today. Went to the gym and signed back up. Took a ower class with very light weights. Have not been there in a long time. It was good to be there and saw an good friend. We worked out together. Stopped for a small chili at Wendy's.

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:
No, Vickie, I'm not off today ... back to work after three days and I got absolutely nothing done. Kinda depressed ... won't get into it. I was in pain for one thing. Still in pain today. My back pain is returning. Well, I got a six-month reprieve from it ... and that's about what the doctor said would happen. He said most patients get about six months pain free, some more. I guess I'm about average.
We are due for rain, too. It is 51 degrees and was supposed to be sunny today but it's not ... it's cloudy ... the rain is supposed to hit tomorrow.
Vickie, are there some college kids around there who can paint for you cheaply? Just a thought. Don't stress your shoulder. I would hire a housecleaner if I had the money.
We have to be into work early tonight because of the time change so our carriers in the eastern time zone get their papers on time. So I need to get going earlier today. About the same time, actually, that I got in when I was doing sports because of the amount of pages I dealt with ... so happy I'm not doing sports this weekend because of all the tournaments going on. We have a big college basketball tournament in town (men and women). We'll miss one of the games because of our early deadline.
Well, not much else going on. Just finishing up my coffee and need to get into the shower. Have a good day.
