Morning OFF family!!
So excited about starting a quilt with my sister next month. This will be my first and I hope one of many to come. My sewing machine is 30 yrs old so I have found a new one that I'm going to purchase, also I'm signing up for quilt classes 101.
The bad news is I've put on 3 lbs and I'm only 7 months out of surgery!! So I need to get with the program and not let this go any further. My body seems to adapt to anything, the only things that bother me are raw celery and sugar...but it has to be a lot of sugar. I'm hungry all the time, head hunger is such a b#@ch. I didn't have to go thru all the hoops to have surgery. I started my journey in June of 2012 and had rny on Aug. 15th. All I needed was for my doctor to give me a letter of necessity for the surgery and medicare approved me. It was so fast. So I need to find a weight loss counselor to help me. I need help! I never want to go back to that stage in my life. I'm thinking of trying the 5 day pouch test to get me back on track. Any ideas or advice would be great.
Hope you all have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all,
Debbie

walked two miles this morning with girlfriends and went to see friend in assisted living. i left a little depressed. She is 88. A couple of years ago she was bright as a new penny. the mind is slipping now. Dear God, why? Aging is the pits.
Going to a church meeting tonight. The rest of the day, I do not know what I am going to do. Most of my pants are too tight. I stopped at Goodwill and tried on a couple of pair of 'make-do' pants, but were not happy with them, so left without buying anything. I need to get back out there and walk some more, but I think I will take a nap.
Robert, my husband, went to physical therapy and is sleeping in his chair. The exercise wears him out. Think I will start the washing machine and then take a nap.
Sorry to sound so depressing. i just realized today is my 8 year anniversary for RNY. Yeah--so thankful for it.

hi/lo/today
Hi Carla and my OFF family:
Weather cooled off today and it's gloomy and rainy. I slept much better last night .. I really needed it.
Ruby, my mom is 88 going on 89 and has slipped quickly too. Since last April when I was home, she has fallen three times and her mind has gone just as quickly. When she was in rehab over Christmas after breaking her elbow and pelvis, they gave her a cognitive test ... she failed miserably. She's now at home with 24/7 care ... it was supposed to be for four weeks and it's going on 10. She's not getting any better. And she doesn't seem to want to get better. She won't move her arm at all.
Anyway, I need to get in the shower, get lunch and get ready for work. Have a good day.
