Tuesday and Good Morning
Cindi,
Not too sure what you situation is, but I had a hysterectomy 7+ years ago due to a continued bouts with anemia which had me having transfusions and all kinds of testing to try to find out why. . . The first time my doctor suggested I might consider wanting to have a hysterectomy I was 47 and I didn't want to have it done, as my Mom had one at that age and 6 months later had her first heart attack and being overweight, I was afraid of that happening to me. . .
A few years later, I agreed to do it and figured that having had my 3 children by C-section, the recovery process could not be so different. . . truth is it wasn't too bad, the only part that was hard, that no one told me about, was the first time I went to the bathroom, it was a bit painful, I found out from talking to a friend of mine that it happened to her as well. I did lots of research and insisted my surgeon leave my ovaries if they were healthy, this way my body was not thrown right into menopause and that stuff. She was well at your age, we generally take them, I INSISTED based on research that it was NOT necessary. After my surgery, I was told that I had a very rare condition that went undetected, as it would only have been found through surgical exploration (my uterus had grown into the muscles surrounding it, therefore causing excessive bleeding and since I knew no better, that was normal for me, so when they were looking for why I was so anemic and would ask about my periods, I say they were normal, until a nurse asked how many pads I used each month). After your surgery, just listen to your body, as there will be days where you just suddenly feel like someone let all the air out of your balloon. . . rest, as you will need the full time to recover that the surgeon gives you and it takes a little while, but eventually you rebound. Hope all goes well when you have yours and that there is nothing too much going on. . .
Best wishes, Laureen

Cindi....sounds like your book project is going great....good for you!! I had a hysterectomy when I was 28 years old. I wish back then they could have done it laproscopically or vaginally. They did leave my ovaries. I had them removed about 10 years ago. I am wishing you the very best. Prayers that your surgery goes well and that you have a speedy recovery.
Thank you...I am recovering from the pneumonia and the environmental issue. Just very weak. I can't get much done. I pray that improves soon!!

Good Morning Everyone,
While I'm in the Eastern time zone, I've been up a few hours, but busy doing other things. I have to tidy up this place big time, and then get to a doctor's appointment. I'm meeting a family doctor for the first time. I'm a little anxious about this. I had my family doctor since 1980, and hated leaving him.
Then, Colleen and the kids are coming for dinner around four, and then I am heading to Bible study. Busy day.
Last night, I babysat from 4:00 to 10:30. Colleen teaches a community college class, and then had to meet a cousin of Trent's to give her some Girl Scout cookies.
Must scoot.
Hugs,

Morning all!
Wow, the board is busy this morning. I'm on the west coast and it's 8 am.
Vickie thoughts and prayers for you and Butch!
Ruby, don't beat yourself up to much...make good choices for the rest of the day and you'll be great.
Cindi, Sorry to hear you're going to need a hysterectomy, my thoughts and prayers are with you also.
Sorry if I have forgot anyone. I hope everyone has a great day,
Lots of prayers for all, Debbie
Good morning Ruby and everyone.....
Ruby....so happy to see you starting the thread today!!! Ignore the carb and move on!! Enjoy your walk with your friends. The spell check on here does not work like most...it doesn't give you help with correct spelling. It used to and then they changed the format and now it doesn't anymore. I hope they correct that soon!!
I am doing okay today. I am going to try and get to the grocery store as I need some fruit. Hope my energy holds out.
Wishing you all a good day!!! Prayers and good wishes to many.
Love and hugs to all...connie d
