Sunday morning in Michigan
Good morning Jo and all my OFF sistas!
I am finally home! Oh, it felt so good to wake up in my own bed this morning! The baby woke up at 7 a.m. (argh!), but Butch got up with him and I was able to sleep until 9 a.m. Gotta love that man!
Carrie is doing better. She was well enough for me to feel like I could leave her yesterday evening. She tires easily, but I left her with a clean house, clean laundry, and new groceries. Since we have her dogs here with us, all she has to do is take care of herself next week. She is planning to go back to work/lab/school tomorrow, but I told her not to plan to do a whole day. Start with a few hours, but then go home when she felt tired and rest.
I don't have to do a darn thing all day today! First day in several weeks that I don't have something pressing to do. I am so happy to be home and to be able to spend some time with my husband today. I feel like I've been pulled in 20 directions at once for the past few weeks. It will be good to just stop and enjoy the day together.
I still need to catch up on reading all the posts, but you know I love you all!

Jo..I hate to wake up so early. I went through a streak like that a while ago. Glad it is better now. I wish the same for you. Lucky you...springtime! It was cold and rainy all day yesterday and again today. So depressing!! I need sunshine!! Hope you enjoyed you Church service and dinner. The Mac and Cheese sounds YUMMY!! Sorry about your friend. I am glad you see her as often as you can.
As for me...I had a wonderful day yesterday! I joined some friends and spent the day laughing and having fun!! It has been a very long time since that happened!! It felt so good!!! I am supposed to meet up with a group of friends to watch the Nascar races later. I am kind of sore and tired out. Not sure I will go as I don't want to overdo at this point.

I had so many plans for today then my friend Jeanie called and we got all sorts of sentimental and weepy. We've been close since we were 13 years old and always sense when the other needs a moral boost. She has Alzheimer's and that makes us sad. Jeanie is still in the stage where she knows she has it but only has short term memory loss.
She didn't even say 'hello', she said "what's wrong?" Quite frankly I needed her no nonsense kick in the butt today. Not a friend who asks 'what can I do"? but a friend who tells you EXACTLY what you better do and NOT do to feel well. she's a mind reader.
I am back on oxygen during the night or when I lay down. Becky cat loves to lay next to the oxygen machine as it blows warm air. I fixed a little bed for her but Jerry had to drag it away - the pesky beagle!!!
My grandson Matthew asked me if I was ever going to have a baby. I told him I had two babies - his Mom and Aunt Anne-Marie. He responded "but they are adults. Don't you want to have a little baby?" I need to go through old photos and show him my "babies".
Nap time. Enjoy the day.

Pesky beagle...now you do have your hands full....how is Annie these days?
You will have to explain to Matthew that you do have babies...just like him...a gift from your babies!! Good luck with that one...LOL

Hello my OFF family:
On the phone with my brother. It's a beautiful day in SW Indiana ... 69, a little cloudy, though. Watching baseball ... Tigers now, White Sox a little later.
Last night was super busy at work with the Final Four games, but we got done on time. I had most of the stuff done early so all I had to fool around with was the Michigan game story. So it wasn't too bad.
Back at work tonight. Have a good day.
Connie, my brother says she is eating better and has gained a little weight, but won't go out and get her haired fixed (or even have someone in to do it ... and he says she really needs to have it done ... and don't look at me, I'm a wash and go kind of person). But she doesn't do her therapy right and refuses to try and move her right arm, so it doesn't get any better. So I guess that's just the way it's going to be.
