Meals today: Had my 2 L of water overnight and during day
B. 2 mugs coffee with 1% milk, and 2 heaping spoonfulls Balkan style natural yogurt, 6 strawberries and some very tart( way less sugar than your Mom and Grandmother used) cooked rhubarb...and 1/4 cup bran twigs
L. 2 scrambled eggs and handfull shredded Asiago cheese, and chopped chives, mixed well, in the microwave, mashed up with fork, burrito style in white small tortilla
Mid afternoon: Hate to admit it but 2 glasses of Canada Day Sangria: white wine filled to rim with chopped strawberries: red and white like our flag, and yesterday July 1 was our national day ( like your 4 July) so had 3 glasses yesterday. Delish. Did a repeat of wine and strawberries today! My bad. 3 small seed potatoes sliced thinly in rounds with some Asiago shredded cheese, microwaved, ate as snack with the wine and strawberries.
D. About 2 cups Mixed salad ( various lettuces, cuke, tomato, celery, cilantro, diced cooked mini potatoes, chopped cheese and ham slices , in lemon infused olive oil and balsamic) and a glass of dry white vino ( same wine used with strawberries earlier in day). I am so wonderfully full.....cannot eat or drink anything more...
Yep, could have done better and skipped the wine with berries, and the potato rounds with melted cheese, and the wine with dinner... Holiday over if I want to continue losing weight have to cut out wine completely, seems to cancel weightloss and keep me "holding" or gaining a bit...
No halo today.

Hi All,
It's not midnight yet in CA but I want to start this before I go to bed. By the time I get up and going it sometimes feels too late to post because of the three hour time difference. I had a good day, lunch with a new friend and dinner with old friends. At this point in my life I need to have friends. They really help with the ups and downs.
I am still having success. I am far from perfect but the protein and attempt to be accountable is good for me. I'm two pounds from my lowest weight after surgery. That is my first goal and I am thrilled to be so close. My clothes are getting very baggy.
It is a holiday weekend but I don't have any plans. I need to go to the fruit stand for another watermelon.
Meal plan: B- protein drink L- leftover Thai food from today D- big green salad with cheese and ham. Snacks- watermelon, cherries, apple slices with Swiss cheese.
I hope you are feeling better Jeannie.
Julia
Good Morning Jeannie and OFF,
I had a bizarre day of emotions yesterday. I was supposed to get my retirement check yesterday. Harrisburg says they did not receive a document I know I mailed in April, which is required every year. My rent and other bills are due. I used my savings for my trip to Pennsylvania in June. I had a total meltdown on the phone with Harrisburg yesterday. Then, I had to scramble to get that document printed, signed, and faxed to them, at the same time I took Izzy to lunch and shopping, for our late birthday date. Of course, I had trouble getting the fax sent, and at the same time, I had to hide the turmoil in my head from Izzy.
Then, Colleen asked me for the rent today, which I don't have. She had a meltdown, coz she didn't get that job in PA and needed money for groceries. I gave her some cash I had, since my sister is lending me money to pay the rent and bills till I get my check. Thank God I'll get my Social Security in less than two weeks, while Harrisburg processes what should have been done already.
Needless to say, I binged on sugar last night. I need to use my coping skills, but sugar is so much easier and quicker.
Hugs,
Trish

Hi Jeannie and those to come
I am up, gathering my bags, and placing them by the door so I can load the car. I'll be leaving shortly and driving to Dallas.
This time next week I will arrive in Wyoming and cooler temps.
Can't wait. Since I am travelling today food will be the best choice I can find on the road. Have some fruit in the car and I may not stop at all except for gas and potty breaks. Better get on my horse and ride.
Jeannie did you get my PM with my cell number? Let me know so I can tell if I successfully navigated this high tech stuff.
I am up making soup for tomorrow's going away party for one of my graduate tutors who got a pretty damn good job. She asked me to make potato soup so it's soup. Anyway, since it's officially Friday here in AR, I decided to start the daily thread.
Well, my belly has settled down but today the doctor said it might be a good idea to get some tests done and she thinks it's scar tissue, which is what I am thinking too. So, she is making me an appointment with a WLS doc and they will decided what to do. I just hate for them to do anything to my gastrointestinal tract because of all the problems that I've had but I also don't want my colon to twist and become blocked.
Today (Friday) is the last day of the scholars program that my granddaughter has been going to so my daughter is coming up in the morning and after the program, they will load up and head home. It took me about four days to get organized and get the kids on my schedule and now we have it down to a science so I am really going to miss them. My husband said that we won't know how to act without having the kids around to keep us busy. HA!.
My breakfast will be eggs and lunch will be soup with crackers and dinner will be something easy since it's the first dinner in over two weeks that it's just been DH and me...well, the kids did go home Friday and Saturday but came back Sunday....anyway, life is funny with us old gals....
Ladies, when you wake up, have a good day and I will check in tomorrow to see how you all are doing....
I hope you are feeling better today. When my gut gets upset, it can be grouchy for 3-6 days... Depends what I did to it...what I ate or drank and how much.
I hope you had good report at the doc..

I get to Cody on the 8th of July and stay until the 15th of September. I will PM you my phone #. If I can't figure out PM I post it or figure some way to get it to you. I'd rather not post. Ya never know who is lurking.
Linda,
I will be in Douglas Wyoming in a couple of weeks and in Cody WY around the 27 of July. I hope you be there then too. Wouldn't that be fun?

Hi Ladies,
Jeannie sorry you are still under the weather. Hope it clears up soon.
Trish glad you could pass up the candy.
Linda you're always on the go. Sorry about the tenant smoking in the condo.
You would be proud of me today. I didn't buy that snickers today when I went to two different stores. Also I weighed myself this morning and I'm at my lowest weight 167.7. I lost 6 lbs this week.
I had my usual breakfast egg whites ham and cheese omelet and string cheese.
Lunch I had cottage cheese, yellow pepper, and baby carrots
Supper will be the last of the chicken and dumpling stew.
Snack will be no sugar added fudgesicle, Greek yogurt with chia seeds, and strawberries shortcake without the shortcake.
We had a cold spell yesterday but it's warming up nicely today.
I got my walk in this morning. I laughed at my app for measuring my walk on my phone. It tells me when I hit one mile but it's always in different spots of my walk and I walked the same path .
Everyone have a good day.
