I am relaxing at home until the afternoon. Then my daughter and I are going to have our first swim of the season in her pool. It is over 100 today...hot and dry, just perfect for swimming.
Weight is still dropping with my new plan. It feels wonderful to have some success.
Late tonight I will start our reunion thread. Hopefully everyone that said they would show will...I will send another reminder tonight. See you tomorrow!

Hi Jeannie and Carla and OFF family to come:
Not much happening here; I have to work today so no holiday here. Carla, you have an interesting life; traveling again, credit card getting hacked. Hope you get to Chicago in time to see the new baby being born.
Not much else to say. I feel like going back to sleep. Got up too early for me. No water aerobics this morning, although the pool is open (but I'm sure it will be filled with kids).
See y'all. Have a nice holiday for those who get it off (I get extra money ... which will help).
Well I now have to use My Canndesign on this IPad too! It's Carla crazy!!!
Im not sure what I'm doing today!!! ibinow I'm meeting my girls for coffee today!!!
Also finishing packing my car.,We r leaving Wednesday to go to Chicago. Vinnie is asking where is her Grammy!
The baby should be here in about 18 days!

We are on our way out the door. We got home late last night and today we are taking the kids to Petit Jean Mt. to do a little hiking. Hope you all have a wonderful rested day. Eat, rest, move, and stretch....Catch you guys later.
Yvonne,
I've also struggled with the right before bedtime eating. I don't know what the problem is but I find myself wanting to snack. I have found that if I keep the raw vegetables cut up and ready to eat, I can eat those so there's not nearly as much damage to my fat cells....Also, I do measure out a little cottage cheese and no added sugar canned fruit to give me something that is a little more filling. I had to stop buying the junk food cause if it isn't my husband, it's me trying to eat those chips and crackers. LOL...Also, nuts and seeds are a good source of snack food too and if you get the sunflower seeds that are still in the shell, it's kind of relaxing cracking them open.
Jen,
The oldies will be dropping by on the 31st or sooner, if they choose. We are hoping that there will be a little dialogue from the oldies as well as the lurkers that will tell us what they want in terms of the tone of the board. For so long, it has been so negative and for those of us *****ally need the board to be a source of support, our hopes are for the oldies and lurkers to come out and help us establish something that is good and useful. When I began this journey, I came to the board and those who had already had surgery were so helpful and if I had not had them, I wouldn't have known what was going on because my surgeon gave me some information but not what to do about being so tired or don't add new foods away from home...plus we passed clothes among ourselves so that none of us had to really do major shopping. As time went on, the oldies, and I include myself, stopped coming because the board became something that wasn't helpful. Some of that was due to oldies who stayed and wanted the board to be their social networking space and over time, more and more complaining and bullying and fighting ended up on the board and people just left. Over the last few weeks, the oldies that I have talked to have said the same thing: too much complaining and too much negative and not enough effort to motivate and inspire. Even when some of us tried to turn things around, it became a contest to see how quickly we could be shut down. But now, thankfully, those negative nellies are staying quiet and that is good. If I were a new person and came on board and read about how the tool breaks after a year...I'd be so disheartened. Yes, after a year or two, the weightless slows down but the tool isn't broken. Anyway, let me shut up before I write a book....I'm looking so forward to the 31st.
Maybe I got it wrong, but thought today was Oldies Day here on OFF? Or is it tomorrow?

Hi Ladies,
Your trips sound like fun. I'll probably won't travel again due to limited income. I love doing it.
I just walked up to cvs to get my prescription since the pharmacy will be closed tomorrow. I really don't have any plans for the holiday.
My eating is good until close to bedtime then I go off the rails. Hopefully when I get this last item out of my house I should do better. Unless I buy something again but I don't planned on it.
Everyone have a good day.
Looks like another place for me to visit...Hot Springs..
Sunday.. It is raining here...not heavy, just enough to make the day grey and but slow.
I had my 2 coffees and my morning meds. I will have one more later during the day. Working on my tea now.
I plan to eat some food later, after 1 pm.... It helps my gut ..
Making semi-homemade meat spaghetti sauce... Use organic ground beef and bison, add some WF tomato sauce and ..salsa..and cook that in my pressure cooker... Probably will have that with zoodles (zucchini noodles) later today.
Plan to have some HB eggs, with avocado and just touch of mayo...
Some nuts in the movie... (almonds)
I have been following IF - intermittent fasting protocol. Basically you pick 6- or 8 or 10 hours in every 24 hours period when you eat food. And don't eat at least during 12 - 16 hours. That has been working well for me. I have IBS with SIBO and most of the time - if I eat - my gut hurts. I have slow motility - the food does not travel very fast in my gut. Doing IF - allows me to push a lot of liquids into my small intestine, and increase gut motility. Plus it allows for some gut healing and rest. In my eating window - I eat foods that are recommended for people with SIBO. Avoiding carbs... Specially starchy carbs that would feed SIBO.
"What is SIBO?
Simply put, Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth is a chronic bacterial infection of the small intestine. The infection is of bacteria that normally live in the gastrointestinal tract but have abnormally overgrown in a location not meant for so many bacteria. Post op RNY - some of us can be prone to have that... I suspect I had that to a degree even before RNY. That and Candida.. Conv0bination of those 2 can cause a severe leaky gut syndrome, causing many more issues.
SIBO can be linked to so many issues - including fibromyalgia, CFS, rosacea, food allergies, even other allergies ... Treating SIBO can help manage other issues.

Wonderful.!!!
You need to be bragging... Looks like your influence in the kids - BG, is paying off. I am sure she has very high IQ, but without your help developing it, and her interests, she would not know half of the things she knows now.
When I was in college- I discovered that knowing what I don't know if a huge step into learning it. Ignorace is when you don't know what you don't know...and can't even ask questions.. (not sure if that makes any sense - sometimes my engish is "too funny" for people to get what I am trying to say)
