Hello sweet sistas!

We are taking a little break this morning while Caralee naps and recovers from the trauma of getting 3 shots at the doctor's this morning.  Poor little thing.  She's just completely tuckered out.  But she had an excellent checkup.  She now weighs 11 lbs 11 oz., and she grew 2 1/4 inches.  She's a very healthy little girl.

I meant to write last night that the dog bite didn't break the skin so I didn't need a new tetanus shot.  Aside from some bruising I'm okay.

I think we are going up to Baylor this afternoon.  Carrie wants to take the baby up to the chemistry department to show her off and we're going to drop my new computer at the Baylor bookstore to have the new software loaded.  And we are going to go by the new daycare so I can see it and get finger printed for the security system.  

Tomorrow morning I'll leave for Dallas.  I can't wait for my grown up weekend!

Hi Ladies,

I wasn't feeling good yesterday, I was very tired that I took a nap in the afternoon.  Today it's a little better. At least I did my exercise in. It's a cloudy day today so that's probably why I don't want to do anything. I'm going to have soup for supper that my stepmother made. Hopefully I can get the snacking under control tonight.

Trish glad you can spend time with your grandchild. My nephew would never let me take my great niece anywhere so we're not  close at all. That makes me sad.

Kathy glad you found a job.  I think counting calories is good to do for successful weight loss.

Now I'm having crs for what people wrote yesterday that I wanted to respond too.

Hello Trish....I am so glad your therapy session went well. I am really happy that the young guy fixed your gas cap at no charge. That was so nice of him...an Act of Kindness!

I am glad you found your phone. So many times I think I lost mine and there I was talking to someone on it!! Another blonde moment!

I hope you made it to your hair appointment. I needed mine done 2 weeks ago!!

Well, I had quite a posts to read from yesterday.  Won't remember everything, but want to let Judy know I'll pray for Rick's Aunt.  Pancreatic cancer is awful.  I hope they can do somethinguse

My therapy session went well, and I did get to the car dealership.  I signed in, and the young man who took care of me a week or so looked surprised so he asked what was wrong.  When I told him, he played with the latch and the door, and fixed it right there, no charge.  I was so thrilled, I gave him a hug.  He said the door spring was loose, and he fixed it with no tools.  

I was at Colleen's with Franklin this morning, then brought him over here this afternoon.  I went nuts right after I got here, coz I lost my phone.  I used the Find My iPhone thing with Apple, and it showed a map, letting me know the phone was here, and not at Colleen's.  Finally found it.  

I have a hair appointment this afternoon, after Colleen gets Franklin.

Hello, my OFF family:

I'm going to need lots of caffeine to get through today. First, I woke up with a headache; so far, nothing has worked to get rid of it. It was raining pretty hard when I woke up, so I wasn't surprised. Second, my right shoulder still hurts whenever I move it, and I don't know what I did to it. I put Voltaren gel on it last night and it didn't seem to help at all. Today, I've already taken a pain pill and put Biofreeze on it. Jury's still out on the Biofreeze. I've got an icepack on my neck to try to get rid of the headache and maybe the pain in the shoulder, too. I've also been doing some of the pressure point stuff I picked up on this website my therapist gave me (traumamadesimple.com). There's a bunch of stuff to deal with anxiety, pain, etc., including breathing exercises, pressure points, clench and release. I've done some of them already; I've known of some of this stuff before, but she combines some of the exercises. 

And, to top it off, I have to be in early tonight because we have training. So I've got to get in the shower at noon and make lunch soon after to get ready for work. Plus, I made a cake (German chocolate) for work and have to frost it. It was supposed to be for my birthday but I didn't have eggs in time and then my coworker bought a cake in. So next week is another coworker's 60th birthday; I don't know what his favorite cake is but I hope he likes this. It is my favorite cake. 

I have enjoyed lounging around with nothing much to do but I am getting bored sitting around the house. I did manage to get a few more things posted on eBay to sell. It's not that it takes so long; it's just tedious. So far, I have no new bids. 

So anyway, I hope all is well in OFF land today. Vickie, did you have the dog bite hand looked at? I always worry about pet bites. Years ago, when I was in Montana, I stopped by my landlady's house and her Afghan dog bit me in the butt. She broke through the skin and my landlady was so apologetic and helped clean and dressed the wound, made sure I went to the ER and had her insurance company call me. I did get about $100 out the insurer (it was what I spent on the ER visit and supplies to dress the wound; I'm always very honest about this and never ask for more than what it cost me). I also had to get a tetanus shot. I hope you were up-to-date on tetanus.

Carla, I'm sure you're in Chicago by now and playing with Miss Vinnie. 

Judy, hope your boyfriend's aunt is going to be OK, although with pancreatic cancer, that's not easy. Swinging chickens for her (for the life of me now, your boyfriend's name escapes me ... I have CRS! Sorry ... it'll come to me later). 

Connie, I hope you are doing well and not having too much pain. Did you notice the new season of Call the Midwife is now on Netflix? I saw two episodes on there last night (didn'****ch them; I was watching Season 1 of "Outlander." We have Starz here so I watched it OnDemand.)

Kathy, congrats on the job. I hope it works out for you.

Can't remember anything else about yesterday. Hope everyone has a good day today.
