A dulcimer is like a small string instrument, sort of like a guitar but with a barrel bottom and a beautiful tone. You can hear one on you tube.

I know you meant to say "paid" instead of "pain" ... nope, got paid last Friday and it's all gone. I have pain all the time. Today it's in my right shoulder. Wish I was getting paid sometime sooner than two weeks. Oh well ... I have food and gas so I guess that will have to do.

Hello again Eileen....I didn't see this post right away or I could have combined them in one post.

Good for you getting to that pool this morning!! I didn't know you had balance issues too. That is great that you are looking at this exercise as a challenge!! I can only walk but it is challenging for me too. I just do my best each day. Somedays are great and some not so well. We both still try none the less!!

Sorry your finances have fizzled out today. I hope you get paid on Friday!!

It sounds like Gary's chicken dish turned out great. Now you can have it tonight. I always think those kinds of dishes are better the next day anyway!!

I am so happy for your mom!! That's what is nice about places like that, the people get out and meet new people and make friends. Overall she seems to be doing so much better. That is wonderful. I am glad she got those ears cleaned out. That is making things better too! Good for her!!

Enjoy your last few days of vacation!!!

Love and more hugs to you....connie d

Hi Eileen....wouldn't it be wonderful if they could figure out what that difference is? They could maybe save so many children's lives dealing with this awful monster! That is why all the studying is being done. They are going over everything Nic has had done and looking at those differences.

I hate that so many children die of these cancers every day. I beg to have something done, to have more research to save these kids. Nic has come close to dying many times. I believe it is all the prayers, the love, the hugs, and every other thing so many of us are sending. For some reason Nic is the one chosen to help the doctors and research teams find the answers.

Thanks for always caring so much...you are an amazing friend!!

Much love and many hugs to you....connie d

So happy to hear the good news on Nic. Maybe there is something about him that has helped him to fight off the cancer.

Hi Linda and my OFF family:

Hope you had a safe trip and didn't hit any bad weather. I saw some of the weather hitting Texas.

I got my butt out the door and into the pool this morning for my water exercise class. Boy, did I need to do that. This is the one that focuses more on core exercises and balance. And I have no balance. So it's a little more difficult for me. But I still enjoy it because it challenges me. Then I stopped at Target to get a few things. I thought about making meatballs and pasta for Tuesday, but couldn't find the frozen meatballs at Target, so I put the pasta sauce back and by the time I checked out, I had to put something else back because I didn't have enough. Now I don't have any money left.

Gary's chicken dish, btw, was very good. We still have enough left for tonight.

I talked to my mom; seems she is making all sorts of friends now. She said they put a "gentleman" at their table now and he is so nice. He helps her with her walker. Plus they put other people at the table who actually talk to her. So she sounds happier. She's not just sitting in her room all the time. Plus, since she got her ears cleaned out, she can hear better.

Nothing much for the rest of the day. Still on vacation. Get to be lazy for a few more days. Have a good day.

Hello Vickie...I am glad that Christie was doing better yesterday afternoon. I would let it ride out. As for her wanting you to keep Budder is ridiculous. He is too much of a handful and you have Caralee. I hope you can tell her "NO". You need a life too. You have gone over and above your Mimi duties. Plus, your mom is still there. I just want what is best for you!!! We all know what a great mom and Mimi you are!! Never doubt that!!

I am sure Carrie does miss her little Caralee. I sure would if I was the new mom. She will get finished with her degree and then settle Caralee into daycare. You are probably right there are waiting lists for the really good ones. Get on them as soon as possible.

Mean while you are keeping everyone above water. Don't forget to bale out a few gallons now and then so you don't sink!!

I hope you have time to get all your information into your new computer. That will be so much better for you!!

I am glad your walking is going so well. Good for you!!! At least you can be encouraged as the weight has dropped back down.

Have a good evening...love and hugs to you...connie d

Hi Carla...have a safe trip tonight.

I have no idea what "Dulcimer" is. You said your cousin teaches how to play the Dulcimer in Deerfield, Illinois. Can you explain further please...yes I am blonde!!!

I hope your friends in Colorado are okay after all that snow. They are used to a lot of snow so I am sure things are running well there!!

Love and hugs to you....connie d
