Good afternoon Trish and everyone....
Trish....so sorry you had such a hard time with your bunny cake. I am sure it turned out better then you thought.
It sounds like you Easter was windfall with your family. It was nice that Izzy has a cousin to play with. She will remember this Easter for a long time.
I hope your PT went well and you were able to relax as well!
As for me.... I had a wonderful time with my daughter, Carrie yesterday. We always do.
Today I went out for a nice walk. The sun is shining and the temp was 57 degrees. I have my windows open!
I am glad Mary is doing well. It sounds like she will have a nice place to live and has gotten some good help. I still pray for her daily.
That is about it for me today. Still no word about Nic's results.
Prayers for our sweet OFF Family and their families. Special prayers as needed.
Wishing you all a good rest of the day. Remember Acts of Kindness!
Much love and many hugs to all......connie d
Hi Ladies,
I got home this morning. It took me an hour to get home. McDonald's took forever to bring my coffee to me then there was an accident on the highway so I went around through town to home.
I had fun at my brother's. I got a big garbage bag full of clothes that my SIL can't wear and they fit me. I just wish my brother could find a job soon.
I went and saw my friend at rehab, she wasn't doing good, in a lot of pain in her chest.
I was trying to post a picture on here for people that aren't on Facebook but can't seem to figure it out. Hope everyone is doing good. Thoughts and prayers for everyone.
Love and hugs,
Yvonne
The before and a picture of me yesterday are in my profile if you want to see them
Hello sisters! Just a pop in right now. I'm gardening today. It brings me much joy. Spent a ridiculous amount of money on plants today but I'm in a hurry to make things pretty. Putting in my vegetable garden first. Butch would be so proud. I'll post some pics this evening when I'm done. Love you all!
I'm here too. I had a nice, quiet Easter. We took our daughter out to Easter brunch, then enjoyed a nice day at home. No children anymore, so we didn't have eggs or hunts. My Sister-in-law sent a nice note thanking me for all of the years that I did all of those things for our collective children. That was a sweet gesture.
Today I am driving to Stockton to do a bit of shopping and to try and visit a girlfriend if she is home. I am wanting a coffee so I'll get that on the way. So good to see you Mary! I was hoping your fire would end up solving many of the problems you were facing with your home. It looks like it will be advantageous in the end. Though no one wants to go through such a trauma....
Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!
Julia
Ice on the windows? It is warm here in sunny Port St Lucie FL. C'mon down.
Your sister puts bacon in everything? Oh, ahem, no. Hope she doesn't put it in the desserts.
Glad you were able to find some vegetarian dishes to eat. And glad you enjoyed your Easter.
Hope the weather clears up there soon.
Sending best wishes and love,
So happy to hear from you, Mary.
Happy to hear that things are coming along well. Glad your insurance companies have been treating you well. Thank God.
I am thankful as most of us on OFF are that you are OK and will be in better shape financially and with a better home when all is said and done.
Wishing you the absolute best. Hang in there, you will get a computer of your own soon, hopefully without dial up.
((Hugs))
Trish,
At least you tried as far as the cake was concerned. If you were not in a hurry, it would have turned out perfectly. It is the thought that counts.
It sounds like you had a Happy Easter. I'm glad.
Best of luck with your therapy.
Sending love.
Hello Trish and Mary and those to follow,
I cannot believe that we had ice on our windows this morning. But, now the sun is out and all is well.
Yesterday, we went to my sister's house and had a big dinner and the kids hunted eggs. I took three vegetarian dishes so that DH and I would have food to eat because my sister puts bacon in every single dish she makes.
It took us over an hour longer to get home because we live in Northwest Arkansas and a few weeks ago, when we had all the flooding, parts of the highway were washed out so along the way, we were travelling on single lanes and, of course, all the students were coming back up the mountain because spring break ended so it was bumper to bumper and moving very slowly for about thirty of those miles.
Well, ladies, I hope your Monday is grand.
