Hello sisters! Just a pop in right now. I'm gardening today. It brings me much joy. Spent a ridiculous amount of money on plants today but I'm in a hurry to make things pretty. Putting in my vegetable garden first. Butch would be so proud. I'll post some pics this evening when I'm done. Love you all!
I'm here too. I had a nice, quiet Easter. We took our daughter out to Easter brunch, then enjoyed a nice day at home. No children anymore, so we didn't have eggs or hunts. My Sister-in-law sent a nice note thanking me for all of the years that I did all of those things for our collective children. That was a sweet gesture.
Today I am driving to Stockton to do a bit of shopping and to try and visit a girlfriend if she is home. I am wanting a coffee so I'll get that on the way. So good to see you Mary! I was hoping your fire would end up solving many of the problems you were facing with your home. It looks like it will be advantageous in the end. Though no one wants to go through such a trauma....
Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

Ice on the windows? It is warm here in sunny Port St Lucie FL. C'mon down.
Your sister puts bacon in everything? Oh, ahem, no. Hope she doesn't put it in the desserts.
Glad you were able to find some vegetarian dishes to eat. And glad you enjoyed your Easter.
Hope the weather clears up there soon.
Sending best wishes and love,
So happy to hear from you, Mary.
Happy to hear that things are coming along well. Glad your insurance companies have been treating you well. Thank God.
I am thankful as most of us on OFF are that you are OK and will be in better shape financially and with a better home when all is said and done.
Wishing you the absolute best. Hang in there, you will get a computer of your own soon, hopefully without dial up.
((Hugs))
Trish,
At least you tried as far as the cake was concerned. If you were not in a hurry, it would have turned out perfectly. It is the thought that counts.
It sounds like you had a Happy Easter. I'm glad.
Best of luck with your therapy.
Sending love.
Hello Trish and Mary and those to follow,
I cannot believe that we had ice on our windows this morning. But, now the sun is out and all is well.
Yesterday, we went to my sister's house and had a big dinner and the kids hunted eggs. I took three vegetarian dishes so that DH and I would have food to eat because my sister puts bacon in every single dish she makes.
It took us over an hour longer to get home because we live in Northwest Arkansas and a few weeks ago, when we had all the flooding, parts of the highway were washed out so along the way, we were travelling on single lanes and, of course, all the students were coming back up the mountain because spring break ended so it was bumper to bumper and moving very slowly for about thirty of those miles.
Well, ladies, I hope your Monday is grand.
Good Morning Trish, and all to follow.
Remember me? ? Things are moving along, just wi**** was faster! But I really can't complain. The tear-down was supposed to start today, but delayed til tomorrow due to rain. But the home has been ordered and should be done within three weeks. In the meantime the foundation will be poured and set.
After delivery the deck will be built and plumbing amd electrical will be connected.
My financing is set, just being processed. I got a beautiful, like new, living room set from Salvation Army ..... I swear some people redecorate so often their "old" furniture is like new.
My insurance companies have been great ... both very sympathetic and helpful. When all is said and done, I'll be in much better shape. New home and lower payments
For now, still no internet or computer ... Shirley has dial-up connection. Very, very slow. She curses and throws things when she is on-line. But, she has been wonderful to me... a true friend.
Good Morning,
I spent the whole morning yesterday wrestling with my bunny cake. I finished it, took it to dinner at Trent's Aunt's house, and forgot to take a picture. Sorry Vickie. I wasn't thrilled with it, because I was not able to control the frosting, or the bags for decorating, because I felt so stressed about finishing in time.
Trent's aunt had a family with a little girl, Izzy's age, and they hit it off so well. It was a lovely dinner. Trent's parents were there, but all the cousins, and siblings were at their respective in-laws.
I have to get ready for physical therapy now. I hate it. It's so hard to do what they ask me to do.
Must scoot.
Hugs,
Trish

Awesome News Connie.
I have an Apple Store about 30 minutes away, and had to go there a couple times for my Apple TV gizmo thing. They were wonderful.
I'm glad you got the help you needed.
