Good Morning,

I spent the whole morning yesterday wrestling with my bunny cake.  I finished it, took it to dinner at Trent's Aunt's house, and forgot to take a picture.  Sorry Vickie.  I wasn't thrilled with it, because I was not able to control the frosting, or the bags for decorating, because I felt so stressed about finishing in time.  

Trent's aunt had a family with a little girl, Izzy's age, and they hit it off so well.  It was a lovely dinner.  Trent's parents were there, but all the cousins, and siblings were at their respective in-laws.  

I have to get ready for physical therapy now.  I hate it.  It's so hard to do what they ask me to do.  

Must scoot.

Hello sweet sistas!

Things are finally quiet here today.  Carrie is in the tub, Mom has gone to bed, Caralee is asleep in her cradle, and I'm finally alone for a few minutes.  Whew!

Let me just say that holidays are really tough.  I was so busy for most of the day that I didn't have much time to be sad, but I did break down and cry a few tears a couple of times.  Butch would have so loved today.  His sisters were here and all the babies were so cute.  He would have reveled in all of it.

But.  It is what it is.  And we did have a good day.  My dinner turned out very well.  I fixed filet mignon, scalloped potatoes, green beans, deviled eggs, a spinach & strawberry salad, and rolls.  For once I didn't screw up a single dish!  LOL!

However, our guests showed up TWO HOURS early!  Can you believe that?  I just think that is SO rude.  I had just got out of the shower and was blow drying my hair when the doorbell rang.  Carrie was just getting ready to take a shower.  Thank goodness my mom was already dressed and ready.  She sat with them on the back porch while Carrie and I hurried to get dressed and presentable.

But it was all right in the end and we had a good visit.  We had a big egg hunt which the boys loved.  And then Chris and Mike took them out on the golf course to fly kites.  It was a lovely warm spring day.

We even ate our dessert out on the back patio.  Charlene brought a lemon meringue pie (Butch's favorite) and the boys baked that bunny cake, so we all had pie and cake al fresco and enjoyed the flowers and the spring sunshine.  

(And yes, I did have a small piece of each.  I have managed to avoid the chocolate mostly, although I did eat my chocolate "bug"!  And there's a chocolate bunny sitting in my kitchen just begging me to eat its ears off! LOL!)

I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow.  My SIL Charlene is quite the photo bug in our family and she took about 100 pictures today.  I posted a few on FB this evening.  But for tonight, I just want to collapse and enjoy the quiet time while Caralee naps.

Happy Easter, everyone.  I hope you are having a special day --  with your loved ones or however you are spending it.

Hubby and I are still a bit under the weather.  We're resting as much as we can -- hoping to kick this nasty bug to the curb.

Tomorrow morning we have haircuts.  Our hairdresser only works a few days a week and we've waited a month for this appointment so I guess we'll be going. 

The sun has been out a fair amount today.  Yay!  It's nice to see the sun's rays coming in through the windows.  We have rain showers in the forecast for the next 36 hours and then sunny days for the next five days.

Lots of company....lucky you!!! Rick's aunt and her guy friend and then his mother and aunt. Is that the same aunt each trip?

HAPPY EASTER!!!!! FOR HE HAS RISEN!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I went to Bingo last night as usual for my Saturday night deal...won a game and had to split it up...so my share was $21.00 yippeeee. All other games NOBODY had to split!! GRRRRRRR. The idiot tenant that lives behind us her birthday was yesterday and damned if she wasn't there also and making it LOUD AND CLEAR to EVERYONE that it was HER BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! I came in the door and right away she had to yell HI ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! Yeah your dog is BARKING at home!!!!!! She said oh well nothing I can do about it!!!!! Really????? Well I CAN!!!!!!!! I sent a text to Rick and told him to keep track how long that dog barked while she was gone. Come Monday she will be getting a letter from corporate about it!!! She goes away and that dog barks ALL the time. We are tired of listening to him!! This tenant is the one that THINKS she IS the manager here...Think again woman. That is one of the reasons we are no longer friends. She ALWAYS gets her nose in every ones business and thinks SHE RULES IT ALL!!!!!!! WRONG!!!!!!!! Same way with her being secretary at the VFW. She should be president as she thinks she RUNS IT......NOT!!!!!!!! Not sure how many times she has been told shut up last week at the meeting so the president and others could talk. WOW!!!!!!! Also last night for a joke I took some duct tape for her mouth....LMAOOOOOOOO Had a few women about fall off their chairs when I showed it to them!!!!  I know...shame on me...well I am not the only one that thinks she is a loud mouth.

Next weekend Rick's aunt and her guy friend are coming for a visit.  Then the following weekend his aunt and mother will be back again... double  I can hardly wait for both visits.

So far today it is nice out...rain which could be heavy is on the way. GREAT!!!!!! But Rick is cooking on the grill. He is having thick Pork Chops and I am having a Ribeye Steak.

I need to do some laundry also but ofcourse washers are being used...sighs......oh well always later on I guess.

OK time for me to go play my games after I call my mom.
