Hi Ladies,
It's a gloomy day today. They are talking about rain, freezing rain and snow for the next two days. I'm so ready for warmer weather. I went to Target to get a movie that I wanted that was on sale but it was all gone. I was walking out and saw some other movies I wanted on sale. I ended up with 4 new movies.
I will be going to my brother's house for the weekend for easter.
Everyone have a good day. Thoughts and prayers for everyone.
Love and hugs,
Yvonne
Julia,
For reals the world stops the minute my husband grabs a magazine and heads to the bathroom....I have set up all kinds of assurances that he will be taken care of should I die first....Bless their hearts.
Hi everyone,
Popping in to say hi to everyone.
I see on FB that dear Vicki is busy with her yard project. Her yard is going to look gorgeous; it already looks gorgeous with all the beautiful plants she has.
Linda, have a wonderful trip; cruise.
Kathy, the best thing for your health is to get rid of a toxic job. I always wished I could have done that; I had a couple of toxic jobs and so wish I could tell them to take the job and shove it where the sun don't shine. Your hubby and the fire: LOL. Good thing it was just a small fire.
Beautiful Connie, feel better. Take care of yourself and feel better. A nice dose of visiting me in sunny Florida might do the trick for you.
Hope all the rest of you fine ladies are well, or getting well. My prayers and love go out to all of you.
I had upper dentures and upper extractions on March 11th. For a few days I was taking Oxycodene. I would sleep every time I took it. It knocked me out. In the beginning the pain was bad. My family has a history of receding gums and bone loss, no matter how many cleanings we did. It is what it is. I feel much better. The pain is gone and I can finally talk where people understand me. My former SIL Carla is doing OK, and has decided she will get married on her birthday which is on Easter Sunday. It is a great day to get married since most of the family works at Publix Supermarkets and Easter Sunday is one of the days the supermarket is closed. So no one will have to ask for time off; everyone can go to her wedding. She is doing better.
Just want to say to all of you, take care of yourselves and have a great day.
Much love.
Hello sistas!
I'm sitting here on my back porch rocking out to la musica and watching the guys as they work. We have a new crew boss today and things are getting done. It sure is a lot of work! There are 8 muchachos here and they are all going at it hard. I'll wait and take pictures after they leave at 4:30.
I'm a little worried about Carrie. Something had been off with her the past couple of days. And I think she's drinking again. Not in front of me. But she bought beer to drink at Christie's house and I know she had ****tails when she and meg went out last weekend. Maybe I'm wrong but my radar is on high alert.
Got on the scale this morning. I'm down 2.4 lbs since last Friday. I still feel like it's mostly water weight. But when I go to get my lipolean shot on Friday, I'll weigh on the doctor's scales and see. Maybe I'll lose three pounds! Hey anything down is good news right?
Got to go pick up the boys this evening so I'm cooking today. I'm making crock pot chicken and veggies. Easy supper for me to make.
I'm getting a kick out of the nosy old farts on the golf course today. They keep driving their golf carts right up to my back fence and looking to see what's going on. Some of them sit there a long time too! Nosy old men!
Wishing Linda bon voyage! We took several cruises and it was always such fun! I miss traveling with my husband. He was such a fun traveling companion. sigh. Who will I travel with now?
(Guess it doesn't matter now anyway. I've spent so much money on my yard I'll just have to stay home and vacation here. )
I'm on my phone or I would type more. I'll catch up this evening. Maybe. Not sure with the boys here.
Love you all!
Nothing much going on here today. I have a to do list a mile long but here I sit. I stayed up late streaming American Horror Story and now I'm dragging. I have TOPS tonight.
I am looking out the window at a beautiful sky, cumulus clouds with lots of sunshine too. It feels so good to be healthy and content. I never take this feeling for granted.
I just had a love fest with my dogs...I call it a doggy party.
I am so glad the neurostimulator is working so well for you Eileen! I am interested in whether it would work for me too. I hav my oncologist visit in a week or so but after that I can take on another medical project.
Spring has sprung!
Julia
Sending a big whoosh of seventy degree weather to you Connie! Hang in there, it is on the way!
I bet your employer is used to losing drivers...and I am laughing about your husband and the bathroom thing. My husband is the same...the world stops on a dime when he needs to poop. TMI I know, but it is true. We have never walked into Home Depot without him running straight to the restroom. Have fun on your overnight trip...it sounds relaxing.
Good morning Linda and everyone....
I am praying you have safe travels and a wonderful time!!
You will be missed!!
As for me.....
I am doing okay. Errand and grocery day. I don't need a lot so I hope we don't take too long. I am still fighting this sinus/cold whatever it is thing!
The sun is shining brightly and that is awesome to see! We had have a high today of 48. Not great but way better then we have been having!! I so want at least 60 degrees soon. I can cope with that much better.
So what are everyone's Easter plans? I plan on staying home and resting. Hopefully I can get to feeling better. I just can't handle company right now. My daughters and grandchildren understand. I don't want to end up with bronchitis.
I hope Judy is feeling better. She hasn't said much about it lately. If she did I missed it. Still concerned about Mary. I am so happy that Eileen is having good results with her treatment.
Prayers for our awesome OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for those in need.
I am going to go outside for a little bit. I want some fresh air. I wish they would put the benches out.
Loads of love and bunches of hugs to all....connie d
Good Morning Linda & Ladies to follow!
I am feeling more relaxed since I gave my notice yesterday. I had given the required 2 weeks, but they asked me to stay an additional two until they hire someone. I agreed since they also offered to take some kids off my van and put on the backup van to shorten my hours and stress. The extra time to get all my yearly medical check ups done and another payck are also an incentive.
So that's that!
We are going to Lancaster, PA...Amish country...for an overnight trip after yard saling Saturday morning. I need a small getaway before I find another job.
I am glad Spring is right around the corner. I am hankering to play in the dirt just like Vickie. I can't afford landscapers and the beautiful assortment trees, shrubs and flowers Vic is putting in, but I do plan to put one of those flat rock borders around our huge tree in the front yard and finish putting in rosebushes against the back fence.
I can't wait.
I was reading the posts and had to laugh at Jeannie's frustration with her husband. I forgot to mention last Thursday while at work Jim decided to use the bathroom while cooking with grease. Well we all.know men when they have to take care of their immediate bathroom needs and how long it takes...so a small fire got started while he was in there! There was no damage except for smoke all over the ceilings and walls...and thank God he caught it in time. But after the initial concern he and the house were okay I had to let loose with 'how could you be do stupid as to leave grease on the stove to go take a sh#t?
Really...men!
Linda, enjoy your cruise!
Vickie, your gardening project looks awesome! Enjoy! Also, I get like that about wanting alone time I seldom get. I NEED it to recharge or I will blow! Hopefully your mom may decide a different living arrangement would be best for both of you. And Caralee just can't take a bad picture!
Trish, seems like your daughter may be struggling with you getting older..especially after this winter. I can't think of another reason for why your need for a cane or handicap placard would come up. Denial...anger...etc.
Connie, I continue to pray for good results for NIC and better health for you. So glad your family found a new dog!
Eileen, that is great news about the neurostimulator. I hope it continues to give you relief.
Cindy P. & Cindi B...hope all is well
Yvonne, you sure keep busy!
Judy, hope you feel a little better today, but PLEASE take it easy!
Gonna sign off and take a nap!

Kathy
