Hi Vickie....we posted at the same time...sorry!!
I will go and change mine if I can.
Love you...connie d
Hi Connie! Oh, how funny! We were posting at the same time. I don't have time to take mine down right now. Talk to you later, gator!
Hi sistas!
Geez, where is everyone? I guess this must be a busy Saturday.
I just popped on to read the posts, so I won't stay long. I'm on a quest this afternoon to find a specific crape myrtle tree. I want the one called Muskogee. It's lilac (and y'all know how much I love purple!) and it's just the right size, height, color, etc., for my area in the back yard. Plus it's rated very high for the weather here in South Texas. I want it. Having a hard time finding it, though.
This is what it looks like:

Yesterday I went to a nursery in a little town about 10 miles from here and I bought a Vitex tree and a fig tree. Let me post a picture of a purple Vitex tree:

Isn't that a thing of beauty? It's a summer bloomer and it thrives in full sun and heat. Just my kind of tree!
The landscaper is providing me with a Mountain Laurel tree. It's also purple, but it blooms in the spring. It smells like grapes!

I am really indulging my love of purple, aren't I?
The last tree I'm putting in is a Redbud tree:

It's really more fuschia than purple, but it's one of the first spring bloomers here, usually around the end of Feb, which is wonderful to see after dreary old winter! But after it blooms, it's really not very pretty. Still I want one for my back yard.
And then I will have my knock-out roses that will bloom almost year 'round here. I think it will all be so pretty!
So, last night we had a horrible storm blow through. High winds, hail, rain, etc. They said on the six o'clock news that the storm would reach my area by 8 p.m. I had to get out there and move all those knock-out roses into the garage! OMG. So many trips! But they are safe and sound and blooming like crazy today (inside my garage! LOL!), so that's a good thing!
Sorry, I'm all about gardening today. I'm so excited and it's been awhile since I've felt excited about much of anything.
Well, last night I got my wish! Carrie and the baby went over to Christie's house for a visit, and then that horrible storm blew through, so they just spent the night there. Hooray! I got to sleep all night in my own bed all by myself!
And I was a little worried about how that appetite suppressant might affect my sleep, but it wasn't a problem at all. I did just fine, except I had a headache. Probably from not having a Coke--that caffeine withdrawal, you know? Anyway, I slept all night and I got up feeling pretty darn good this morning. I took a nice long walk (All By Myself!) and then a bubble bath and I was ready for the day. I can certainly feel my metabolism revving up. Don't know if it's from the LipoLean injection or the Bontril, but I'm definitely feeling much perkier. And not very hungry at all.
Well, I've stayed longer than I intended. Got to go shop for my trees! I'll check back in later tonight. Love you all!
Good afternoon everyone...where are you all????
I am still just so fatigued....I pray it ends soon. I have slept every afternoon since the kids left on Wednesday morning. It is also because I still have this runny nose and a bit of a sore throat. The sore throat is probably from all the drainage. I am still taking meds and I know I am sleeping enough. Drinking plenty of liquids too. Hey...no headache for the second day in a row!!
Jamie and the family went to the rescue and picked up Utah this morning. They are at Jamie's in laws farm right now. She sent me a video of Utah. She is so pretty but WOW has she got energy!!!! They will need to put things up for awhile with her around!! Utah is still a puppy and will be a handful for now. I fell in love with her right away!! Gracie is just beside herself with happiness!! They all are!!
I really don't have much to post about. I just puttered around this morning. Did a few odds and ends. Everything is all done now. Today will be a movie day and I am sure a nap will be in there at some point.
I am wishing you all a really nice day!! I sure loved all those pictures of Vickie's daughter Carrie and sweet little Caralee. They are all just so so precious!! Carrie is a really wonderful mommy just like her mom!!
Prayers for all our loving OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for those in need. Judy, Eileen and Mary come to mind as does a few others.
Remember an Act of Kindness along the way!!
I LOVE you all...HUGS..and KISSES to everyone.
Can't help but laugh at your post to Judy. Where you looking in the mirror by any chance while you were giving it? HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Glad your headache abated some. I used to have migraines and that was the worst.
So glad I don't have them anymore. I hate shopping online. I don't know about anyone else but I don't wear a single size. My size is brand dependent and even then it depends on the fabric. When I was growing up we were told to hold our skirt up to our waist and let it go, if it fell back into place it fit. If it didn't it was too tight. With all the lycra out there you can't really do that. Even though it fits it can show too many bumps and rolls. So some fabrics I need a larger size to feel comfortable. Even without that factor my size can be very different between brands. Then the returns have to happen, which I hate. I don't have time to order, return, and reorder. Usually If I need things I will go to the store buy what I like come home try it on and return what I don't want or what doesn't fit. That is more leisurely than going in and trying on lots of things in the store. I get tired, overheated, and putting thing over my head time and time again gets my hair so messy I can't stand to be in public. My hair is very thin and fine. I used to think my mother was silly when she said trying on clothes made her hot. Now I understand.
I need to take a deep breath reading your post. Glad you WLS doctor visit went well. Who is your doctor? If you are low in vitamin D you might want to check out Vitalady.com. She is a WLS patient and has developed or found a source for the best vitamin D I have ever taken. All of her products are WLS friendly.
I know I have said this before but it bears repeating. There is no shame in formula feeding your babies. I know there is much argument on both sides of the fence. I had a friend who's daughter was made to feel so inadequate by LaLeche (probably misspelled) that she refused to give her child formula even though it was obvious that she was not making enough milk. Finally her doctor said if she didn't give the child supplemental formula he was going to report her to CPS. That scared her and she complied. Her child stopped fussing, began sleeping and putting on much needed weight. It is a personal choice but the baby should have a say as well. Hope everything gets better for all of you especially Caralee.
Good luck with the new diet regimen. Keep us posted I am sure a few of us would be interested in trying your plan.
Hmph! I don't think you're being very compliant with my orders, Ms. Gunther! Someone else can cook that chicken! I'll say okay to putting out paper plates, but that's it! Surely some of those sweet little old ladies at your apartment can cook chicken! And make coffee? Honey, please delegate!
I am fine Nurse Ratchett!!! Really I am!!! Its the anesthesia that is making me tired is all...As for the dinner all I have to do is cook the chicken and put the tablecloths on the tables and put out the paper plates and plastic ware and napkins....that is it. Oh and make the coffee...LOL And I will have HELP CLEANING UP!!!!!!! The guys do that plus a few of the women also help. I prefer to do my OWN setting up!!!!!! ![]()
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Eileen: tonight will be your first night sleeping with the implant.....wonder how that will work?
Here's wishing you a good sleep, looking forward to your report tomorrow.
