Hi Ladies,
I'm so tired today. I didn't sleep good last night. I haven't done my exercise yet so I don't think it will get done today. Trying to get caught up on my reading from the weekend. Plus I got to read a book for Sunday school.
Everyone have a good day. Thoughts and prayers for everyone.
Love and hugs,
Yvonne
Good afternoon, everyone. It's another rainy day -- HOWEVER, we should be having sunshine the next three days!
Just got back from taking our dog in for a grooming appointment. He looks so nice.
I didn't sleep very well last night. Throat doesn't hurt much today but I now have a cough. Nose is runny too.
I am continuing to pray that Judy's surgery goes well tomorrow. Also praying for others as well.
I guess I don't have much to say today but thought I'd drop in anyway to say HI.
Have a good day.
Cindy P.
Quick check in here. Found out at the last minute that Mom is coming to town, and I must clean out the spare bedroom, which is a total disaster right now. Oy ve.
I'll try to check in later, or whenever I can.
Also, please pray that the kids get better. They have fevers, some sort of virus. Colleen is concerned about them being contagious, but the fever should break today. She's stressing out to the max.
Must scoot.
Love,
Trish

Hello ladies
I am up but not sure I am awake. I was supposed to walk today but I did not sleep at all last night so I didn't think I could do the 3 mile loop. If it doesn't get to the 90 degrees it got to yesterday, I will try to walk later. For now its laundry and cleaning.
That doesn't take much brain power.
I had a great time in Louisiana in spite of the horrible rain. There was a lot of flooding in some of the surrounding towns but we only had puddles. Took a lot of classes with a lot of good teachers. Now to just stay motivated to practice what I learned. My fingers are painfully sore. You just can't play every so often and expect your fingers not to be sore. Practice would help that also. I will be going to another dulcimer jamboree in late April held each year at Mountain View AR. That is one of the best. I had good teachers in Port Allen but Mountain View has top tier teachers. Highly professional. National champions and touring musicians. The evening concerts are superb . The local talent is remarkable. Families that sing and play together and students that the folk center goes into the schools to teach. These kids are taught from 4th or 5th grade any folk instrument they want to learn in a class setting. After a couple of years they are placed in groups and then they play as a band. My favorite calls themselves "Possum on the Rails". The girl that plays fiddle is now a high school student and a national fiddle winner. She is awesome as is the young man that plays the mandolin. Folk culture is alive and well in Mountain View Arkansas.
Judy prayers for a successful surgery and a quick recovery
Vickie Hope you got to play in the dirt a little. My landscaper came yesterday and put my front bed in. Not a lot to it. I wanted simple and low to no maintenance. Glad Caralee is CF free.
To everyone else that is suffering from pain and depression you are in my thoughts.
Jeannie, You are so right about the Houston traffic. It can take a long time to go nowhere if you have to be on the road during rush hour. Since I am retired I don't have to deal with it. I schedule my appointments and errand running to avoid it so it doesn't really affect me. Hope all goes well with your brother and his move to Arkansas.
Well the laundry isn't going to do itself so I had better go.
Later
Between the time change and the whirlwind non stop from 7:30 am to 10:30pm days I had Thursday thru Saturday and then the drive back home Sunday after a sleepless night due to the parents in the room above me not preventing their kids from stomping and jumping all night I spent Monday in a fog. Now is that a run on sentence or what???????????
Time change sucks but it had nothing to do with the farmers. It had more to do with daylight after work hours. Supposedly making it more convenient for families. Of course that means the little ones wait in the dark for the buses each morning but daddy get to play golf or tennis or what ever the powers that be want to do after work. My mother used to say if people want more daylight do what the farmers do and get up and get to work earlier.
My brain is still in a fog so I just say hello and groggily carry on.

Timing medications is a pain in the butt. I am off many of the meds I used to take but when I had that problem the only thing that worked for me was to set the alarm on my phone. I kept a list with me so I knew which med to take when the alarm went off. It was confusing but it kept me healthy.
Judy all the food suggestions are great. The only thing I can add is pudding. I use to make SF pudding (chocolate) and add my protein powder. I also made SF instant breakfast and added powdered milk for a little more protein. I made it hot so I did not add protein powder not knowing how heart affects the protein.
Connie, did y'all ever hear back from the hospital and doctors about Nic? Did I miss a post?
Hello Judy....I hate early mornings....6:30 is way to early for me! I usually get up anywhere from 8:00 to 9:00. Old age and chronic pain sucks! I like the idea of early procedures but ugh!!
I have been praying for you for days and will continue to do so! I want your procedure to go well and that you feel so much better after . I hope all the food and med changes work out without too much hassle. It sounds pretty rugged to me!! Knowing you it will be good!! Make a chart and set alarms...you are a good manager of things.
Lots of love..hugs....connie d
Good evening Vickie and everyone.....
Vickie...this time change is kicking my butt too!! I hate this and it happens ever time. Why we still feel the need to do this I do not understand. Years ago when the farmers had no way to light their fields I could see it. Now they have all kinds of equipment with lights.
I hope Caralee finally managed to get to sleep yesterday after the car ride. I also hope you got to "play in the dirt" today!!
I hope the business you need to take care of this week goes well.
As for me.... I had a fun but lazy day with Nic and Stephanie. They will be here again tomorrow. They are with Nic's grandpa's side of the family tonight for dinner and whatever. They will be here again tomorrow. They will be taking me to the bank and to get groceries. They had me cancel Fran. Nic wants to do it. That will be fun.
The weekend was a whirlwind!!! All those young people being silly and having fun. It warmed my heart!!
Wishing you all a peaceful night's sleep.
Prayers were said for all of our precious OFF Family and their families!! Special prayers went up too!
Love you much...hugs and kisses to all.....connie d
