Hi ladies,

Im still here. I had vacation a couple weeks ago to south Carolina for a week. Im invited to go again at Christmas time. My friends daughter is having a baby.

The weather has been good in michigan. Not super hot. Monday it's only getting to be high of 66 so it probably feel cold to me.

I got a bike yesterday. At least i didn't fall flat on my face when I rode it.

My SIL was diagnosis with liver cancer. She starts chemotherapy on Tuesday.

That's about all for me.

No Judy, it wasn't from the surgery...

I have had a lifelong history of UTI's to the point where most are asymptomatic. However, I got one in January that made itself know & went thru 2 cycles of antibiotics. I didn't follow thru & go back to doc to make sure it was gone & began feeling very tired, having night fevers & flu-like symptoms in mid-February which I attributed to side affects from my flu shot. I never really got sick sic****il mid-March & went into the ER. The 1st time all they diagnosed was the UTI & sent me home. Two days later I was really sick & went back to ER & bloodwork indicated I was becoming septic. They believe the UTI I had was never cured & bacteria continued to grow until it got in my bloodstream.

They had to do 2 emergency surgeries to get the bacteria out. Ugh!

Anyhow, enough of THAT!

I agree about what I call the high school games, however, I have blocked the member who PM'd me about another member. She is back on this board & it appears others have had similar issues with her. I don't need the drama so I don't want to deal with her!

Julia, I have my 5th year cancer check up in January 2018. I always find it nerve-wracking to go for that appointment. Always afraid of a reoccurrence. So I wish you luck!

We are way too old for that stuff. But to each his own. I don't mind being laughed at if it makes someone feel better. Unfortunately, it probably won't make anyone feel better.

Hi Everyone!

It is hot & humid here in Delaware! Lots of rainstorms overnite! I rather deal with hot than winter anyday!

We have no vacation planned as I have been under several doctor's care since March when I was hospitalized with a rare bacterial infection that made me septic. I am doing well now, but the first several weeks were difficult. I still have a visiting nurse come twice a week for wound care & tons of medical appointments.

Worst of all I cannot swim this summer!

I am glad to see some regulars returning to this board. I remained neutral regarding the reason for certain members leaving & a new group that started. I tried not to be confrontive to members who annoyed me for whatever reasons & tried to encourage ppl to deal directly with members via PM's if they had a serious issue with them.

I have also gone to great lengths to avoid PM's with other members across the board bc I had received some advising me of personal information about members that had not been shared by the members themselves. I consider that gossip even if true & detrimental to the group. I have blocked those members.

This group was the first place I stopped before my WLS. It was informative, but had a homey touch as well. I hope more old members return.

PA huh? Not all that far away an I know that they had some nasty weather also.

So you must be taking a warm Winter long Vacation. LUCKY you!!! Wish I could take one that long!! Some day I can do that!! But right now we have two trucks to pay for. LOL Guess you will have to have the mail sent to you so you can pay the bills while you are gone away or set up auto pay.
